My tight pants are now too big!28

Ran 3 miles in 11:30 min/mile...before that the fastest I could do was 13:00 min/mile, so I'm pumped!38

Swam around 33m underwater this morning. Think it was about a length and a third of the 25m pool! died a bit when surfaced so forgot to check exactly where I was before swimming to the end
but so chuffed!
now for 1.5 lengths!!25 -
So I fit into my goal dress today - and it looks good! Sure, I can lose a bit more around the hips, but I can totally pull it off today if I wanted to. I can't quite believe it!

Got my *kitten* to the gym last night like I said I would!!!33

My belt is too big! I have to use a hole that is part of the design of the belt, not a hole meant to be used to fasten the belt!23

I got approved for supplemental life insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got rejected in my previous attempts due to my "stature" (read: no way, fatty).45

Today I bagged up loads of too big clothes to put in the charity bin. Mainly so that if I start to go up again I won’t have anything to wear so will have to get back on track27

Went on vacation to the Halloween capital, Salem, Massachusetts, for 5 days. Enjoyed chocolate at all (and I do mean all - I googled it to make sure) the little specialty shops, savored several servings of hot apple cider, indulged in many of the wonderful local seafood dishes at the restaurants, and popped into a few small ice cream parlors for samplings.
I logged a quick 2,000 calories every day as an estimate in MFP to keep my streak going and checked the forums every day, but really allowed myself to just enjoy the time with my sister, taking in the experience and all it had to offer without limiting by calorie counting.
The NSV is that last year I would have been miserable trying to restrict my calories/count calories the entire trip, while this year I was able to make the mental jump to recognize it’s okay to enjoy vacation and indulge a little! Hopped on the scale this morning and I am up 3 lbs - no biggie as most of it’s probably water weight.... and if it’s all weight gain, who cares?! I’ll cut my calories for a few weeks by 250 per day and slowly get back to Maintenance. The memories and the unforgettable experience was totally worth that trade off!48 -
Saw my pulmonary doctor yesterday and he said he "graduated" me from having to use the CPAP machine ... All due to weight loss. That and I am able to wear my mothers ring again. I am so happy and grateful for both. Happy days.
Oooooo- that's one of my big goals- to get off my CPAP machine! How much did you lose to make this happen? And congrats- I hate CPAP so much!15 -
So, here is one thing I've noticed.
I can't just suck in my gut and have my pants fall down anymore. If I have to go to the bathroom, I have to actually undo my belt, unbutton and unzip to get my pants down. Was simpler before.
Issue is I have forgot to zip up again when done a couple of time.21 -

not the op, but my lifting buddy who started out north of 350 came off what he calls the 'nosebag' sometime this summer; around the same time that his interim dexa had placed him at 280 pounds (70 lost; 50 pounds of it was fat). hope you get free of yours soon.
i have one that's about the overhead press. blah blah blah backstory lostmyform, longmessylayoff, restartedthismonth . . . , BUT since i was way back at square one and had nothing to lose, i decided this time i'll make a small form change that i'll be able to carry with me from now on. so i just finished my first cycle doing the hepburn programme in my lift 'club' today, and the trainer noticed. i didn't say word one about it, but he caught on and was very impressed.
i'm still a long way off from my lifelong daydream of making 70 pounds for the overhead press. but i lost almost ten pounds to stress in the last two weeks of september and my lifting really has been in some disarray. so i have to admit that i feel pretty proud to be able to say i can press 55 pounds with a clean bar path for 8 triples . . . and do it with my heels jammed together the entire time.

Didn’t eat a single piece of Halloween candy. No regrets. Further, I’ve had ZERO refined white sugar since May 2017 - not a long time for some but kinda big time for me.30

20 months ago when i started this weighloss journey/lifestyle change i was wearing 62" waist jeans- today i'm wearing a pair of 48" waist jeans,( with a belt 'cos they are loose)....so 14" size reduction- still a way to go yet but i'll take the victories when they appear!!43

Fit nicely into American Eagle size 8 jeans now. 28 inch waist (from 34.5) and 38 inch hips (from 44.5)!25

I went to a yoga for runners event at the local running store. The instructor was late and I was stretching in advance and two people thought that I was the instructor49

When I was a teenager my grandmother gave me her engagement ring. It was too small then. I just tried it on and it fits perfectly. I can wear it to keep my wedding ring on34

Silly really but 2 things.. I went to the gig of my favourite band a year ago and bought a medium t-shirt, the medium was more like a UK small but either way it was a snug fit! After trying it on and realising I didn't feel confident enough to wear it I started my weightloss journey! In a few weeks we will be going to see the band again and the top fits perfectly! Goal achieved! Now I wear it too much! Haha
Number 2 was today, I've always been a uk size 12, well for as long as I can remember, apart from my heaviest when I was a size 14 shortly before I started 'weightlossing'. We went into town today and after being fed up with wearing baggy clothes for the last month or so I decided to get some new clothes, a very comfortable size 10! Woop! haven't felt that good in a pair of skinny jeans... Ever!
The top was a bit too big but wearable!
I also got some new boots to realise that somehow I am now a shoe size down as well! How odd!
So pleased!28 -
My bones fascinate me
AC, this made me laugh. You're not the only one.
I have a little protrusion at the bottom of my ribcage. The doc says that the xiphoid process (the end of the sternum) curves out as some people age. As I have shed some fat, it has become more prominent. Once or twice a day, I will reach up and check it. Just making certain my bones are still there. HAHA!

Just increased my long distance run to 6 miles!39

Put on size 8 American Eagle jeans today, they're a little tight but wearable. I haven't been in single size since highschool.28

I just bought jeans in an 8. A year ago I was wearing a 28. 8 is a little too snug but since I barely got to wear the pair before that before I shrunk out of them I'm planning for the future. Also my shirts are mediums now, last year was 4x.
Buying clothes is so fun now! I bought a pine green leather moto jacket. I was looking for a jean jacket and this motorcycle jacket was there in my favorite color, so I went for it. I'm still getting used to the idea of dressing to look the way I want, after years of dressing to blend in. My goal used to be to try to find an outfit which just looked okay enough not to attract attention. Last night I had a lady come up to me in the dressing room and ask me for style advice.40 -

That is so awesome, well done. It seems we're at about the same place right now—I too am just now into a UK 12 (which the label claims is a US 8), and it's snug but wearable. You, however, have come a much longer distance than me to get here so I really congratulate you on the achievement!
I also share your glee about finally being able to take a few cautious steps into the world of personal aesthetics. Most recently I actually bought a shirt in what I assume will be my size once I reach my goal weight. It's a European size Small, which should still be too small for me, but is a wide shirt so I can still wear it even though it's intended to have a more relaxed fit than it currently does. It's so encouraging to be in a position to slowly, slowly start picking up my long-term 'investment pieces'.15 -
Technically not a NSV but I'm 77% closer to my goal. Now that I'm getting closer and closer to my goal but my weight loss on the scale has slowed down but I'm still losing the inches. 4 more pounds remaining until I reach the 130s. 8 weeks until the year ends. Anything is possible

7 months after I got run over by a car and damaged the nerves and tendons in my foot I am finally able to jog again. 3 days in a row on the beach with my dog. No more streets for me, there are crazy people out there!45

My previous best 10K time was 53:47. Normal training runs are around 55-56 minutes. I signed up for this morning's Phoenix 10K just hoping to get under 55 minutes and not feel like hell at the end.
Crushed.
It.
51:59.
I knew I went out too fast but was still able to keep pretty even splits and felt great at the finish. Runners high level: off the charts.43 -

I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is a NSV in itself. I really needed that motivation, too. Have been becoming complacent recently, so thank you God!
