Wow. Canons!7 -
I have a first date tonight with a young lady and wanted to buy a new shirt. I found a nice Chaps button down, grabbed an XL and headed to the fitting room.
It was too big. No effing way. When I started this I was 240 pounds and saw the change from XXL to XL, but this? Really? I went back, grabbed a large and it fits perfectly. Looks good too. Holy crap.

I walked over 50,000 steps and climbed 132 floors today, according to my fitbit charge!!!27

Ran my first official half marathon and finished in 1 hour 42 minutes. Avg pace was around 7:50 min per mile. In Feb I could not complete a 5K without walking breaks. Next is a full marathon in March.35

I'm breaking the rules by posting this because it is a total scale victory, but I just can't contain myself! As of this morning, I am officially in ONEDERLAND!!!!!69

Complete W1 of C25K! Just in time for the holiday wee.19

Realizing I'm a medium and can fit in the majority of the stores at the mall. I've been a large as long as I can remember, maybe back in Middle school I was a medium.28

I bought these boots for my birthday many moons ago. They've been in a box tucked away in a closet because my calves got way too fat to fit in them.
But I'm back!

Wow...you are so ROCKING those boots (and even though you purchased them many moons ago, they STILL look super cool and in style too--YAY YOU!12 -
It's utterly amazing to me that I am wearing a size 14w jean (from size 20w 169 days ago) with NO MUFFIN TOP at all
That I'm now doing 1 whole hour of moderate exercise a day (nothing less than miraculous for me)
I went out to eat Mexican the other day and instead of mindlessly and quickly devouring three cheese enchildas, mounds of rice & beans, and 8 (or more) pieces of plaintains and sour cream (as I'd ALWAYS done before this weight-loss adventure) I slowly/patiently and thoughtfully enjoyed eating only almost two of the enchildas, less than half of the rice, and only ate 3 of the plantains, instead of drinking a high calorie frozen drink, I had refreshing icy cold water instead and was totally and completely FILLED to the max AND had lots left over on my plate when I was done.
= YAY!!!!!!!!31 -

I was surprised today when I went to buy new jeans - I was swimming in my 18s and thought 16s would work. Nope. Comfortably in 14s and I suspect the new belt I picked up is going to be very useful in a few weeks.20

I just realized that I have not had one piece of Halloween candy, and it's November 19th!!! Really thought it was going to be harder to give it up (candy is my worst trigger food, and I have binged on it repeatedly every Halloween season for the past 24 years), but it really wasn't a big deal this year! I'm finding it much easier to abstain from it completely than moderate it.19

over 100 days streak log ins and food diary entries - the good bad and ugly lol

Pulled on a pair of 34 inch waisted jeans on Saturday! (Mens cos, pockets)
Didn't by them though as they were straight leg not boot cut but my 36s are getting falley down and I wanted to see if they would fit lol
Where have all the boot cut jeans gone? I only bought the 36s a month or so ago!!
But....34s fit!!! When I started I was usually having to buy 44/48 inch waist in mens trousers!!24 -
I averaged a 10 thousand steps per day average for last week. Second week in a row.27

This post made me smile, as someone who finally discovered that abstaining is way easier than moderating for her.
Congrats on figuring out what works for you and bypassing temptation!13 -
Cracked 20000 steps on Saturday this past weekend. Pretty sure I haven't done that in a while. Yay.

Had a doctor call me "slender" last week. WHAAAA? Me? Slender???? I made him repeat it several times. I don't think he was half as amused as I was.31

Hubby brought home a big ole box of dunkin doughnuts yesterday--I looked in the box and saw all kinds and lots of glaze (my favorite) and I didn't have even one, it didn't phase/move/tempt/interest me in the least. I could have had one, two or three if I wanted to, but I purposely choose not to. Why? Because I;m on a mission of not only becoming slimmer and healthier, but also to embrace self-control and not getting all out of whack when "surprise" "goodies" come around me. I simply choose not to have one, period. I did however purposely choose to use my cals/carbs later on that day have some yummy pomegranate fruit instead. Why? Because I can--super BOOM!

I have a couple. I've lost 27.8 lbs and am @ halfway to my goal. The other night a co-worker told me "you're getting too skinny". I just laughed. Another is that two other co-workers asked how I'm losing the weight and I told them: counting calories and logging everything on MyFitnessPal. Both of them asked if that was it...Yep. That's it.15

Put my old belt around my waist and my 6 yr old son couldn't understand why it was so big. He knows I've been losing a lot of weight but I don't think he fully appreciated it. Back in june my size 48 pants were screaming for mercy and now my size 40 jeans are threatening to come off. I feel 10 years younger.37

I've only been a "runner" for about 7 months and I did 22 miles this past Saturday. Around mile 15 I was questioning whether I would make it as every single part of my legs and feet were killing me, but I did it in 5 hrs and 36 minutes. I crushed the pace from my previous long run of 19 miles in 5 hrs 20 minutes.35

My friends Aunt told me I was melting away. It was a good thing to hear because the scale as been a huge roller coaster the last month or so. I need to re-measure to see the progress in inches lost vs. the scale this month.14

How about another NSV: I think you can lose the irony quotes around "runner" now.
Training hard and regularly, improving performance . . . you're an athlete now: Own it.29 -
My doctor expressed a minor concern i need to look at not losing more weight lol. Im at a perfectly fine weight in the middle-high end of healthy BMI no worries really, Nor am i trying that hard to lose anymore, But damn was it nice to hear a doctor concerned i may be to small vs to large27
