Dont want to sound negative but why would you want someone as friends if you have not interacted with them either on forums or thru mutual friends? and probably even if added you would not interact with them?

I have a lot of friends like that. Sure, some are the silent type, but a few likes can be encouraging. And how do you know whether they are going to interact unless you try. They may become the puzzle piece you have been missing and didn't even know it. Life is much poorer turning down opportunities just because they may not work out. You are missing out on some awesome people

That said, anyone can add me as a friend. I accept all friend requests and have made some wonderfully supportive friends after they became friends

i might be missing out but so far its been working for me. i only accept mutual friends who seem very supportive and active on friends posts. ☺

Agree @Versicolour and @MJFSH It’s in the network of support and over 30-ism. We all need it!!

    Hi!

Am I in the middle-aged group? Shocking! I still feel young at 39...

I'm more than a month into MFP and feel quite a bit better than I did a month ago. There is a load more to be done but I'm getting there.

I eat better, log almost everything and try to exercise in random ways at times.

Feel free to add me if you want a little encouragement!

44, finally getting in shape. Running & working out since September-I'm already in the best shape of my life (I've always been sedentary). Finally really seeing results in weight loss since I started with MFP on 11/4. Feel free to add me.

Hi all, 42. Roughly a four year runner after being basically sedentary after college football. Added weights because I hurt myself doing a 50K this summer...

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I'm getting together with siblings and their families at a catering company. First year we've done this so we'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to it. No cooking, no cleaning, and no tempting leftovers.

    Thanksgiving:

7am - gym opens, strength training
10am - neighborhood Turkey Bowl, two-handed touch family football
12:30 - Lions vs Vikings NFL, start eating
Rest of the day - continue eating and watching football

4am: walk the dog (NOT a euphemism, I ACTUALLY walk my Dog)
    4:30 am Gym
5:30 am shower and then start prepping food until it is ready for noon(ish) meal
1 pm start putting together "to go plates"
rest of day watch games or hang with my sons

turkey day plans tomorrow: wake up naturally probably around 6 or 7am, have a couple cups of coffee, head to gym for a nice sesh around 8ish depending on what time i actually wake up, maybe hit up a movie with my husband and get a bottle of wine while watching, then we have din reservations at 4pm. It's just him and I, so it's pretty low key. I actually very much prefer it like this.

Hey everyone! Awesome to see all the new "middle-agers"! Feel free to add me. I have added many of you and I am so glad to see all the motivation going on in my feeds.

Today I'm taking a 1/2 day at work, getting in a quick workout in and then on to some "range therapy". I am hoping for a LONG weekend as the week days seem to go by WAY to quick. Also looking forward to that "turkey-induced-coma". Is it wrong to love sweet potato's? I'm SO looking forward to them!

You guys ROCK...keep up the great work and know that its ok to enjoy the Thanksgiving foods in moderation. Hey...why not get a family walk in afterward? Blessings all!
