I’ve done a few of these challenges now and not managed to lose anything. On the plus side I’ve not put on either - so that’s a win for me. I’m going to really focus this time round. My goal will have to be maintenance because I’m away with friends next weekend. Here goes!

11/19= 223.8 lbs- Well, too bad this wasn't yesterday. I could have had a loss for the last round. Pretty happy to see this drop though! Now...to keep this number through Thanksgiving...that's my goal. Losing would be great, but I'll be happy to stay right here for the next 10 days as long as I don't gain.
11/20= 225.3- I didn't stay where I wanted but I'm still less than R22 EW.
11/21= Forgot to weigh before I ate breakfast, so I just didn't weigh in.
11/22= 225.3- Still holding; really hope I don't go up too much because of Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers. I'm planning to have seriously moderate portions, skip the rolls, and only one small slice of pie for dessert. Leftovers will be only for meals, not random eating anytime, and will not be an entire plateful.
11/23=224.1- Glad to have this drop today. Haven't eaten breakfast. Hoping to hold out til the big lunch at 2:00, but we'll see. That might make me too hungry to resist eating too much. Will check in tomorrow to update.
11/24=223.7- This is a great number. Did well yesterday and didn't overeat. Leftovers still for a couple of days though, so I have to keep in control of those portions.
11/25=225.8- Well, I knew last night that this number was coming. I'm drinking tons of water today to flush out the sodium. I added up my numbers for Thursday and Friday- total calories I went over is 1585, which isn't terrible for two days. Total sodium, however, was more than 5000 over. Hopefully, that's what the weight is from and drinking water will help it drop back down.
11/26= 224.8- Glad to see a drop. New week starts today. All leftovers are gone, except ham and turkey, which are both pretty low calorie, even if ham is high sodium. Happy to get back on track.
11/27=224.8- Can't believe this number didn't go up after yesterday's behavior. I finished off the pecan and apple pie-1slice of each which was more than half my daily calories. Then I still ate like normal the rest of the day, so I went way over my calorie goal. Plus, I was in bed or on the couch absolutely all day- I'm talking 1400 steps for the whole day. That's ridiculous, but I just couldn't push myself up to do anything. Emotionally, I was a wreck. Back to work today, so emotions go on the back burner and I can get back to normal. Hopefully, I won't see a gain tomorrow as payment for yesterday's laziness, but it's well-deserved if I do.
11/28=224.0- This isn't too bad. I'm didn't have a loss, but my gain was only 0.2 lbs over Thanksgiving holiday. Now to work on losing before Christmas gets here...5 -
Well, by getting my carb stores higher, I managed to drop my body fat % as tracked by the scale. At least some of yesterday's particularly high weight must have been due to water retained after beating my body up so much last weekend though. That seems to be dissipating. So a net gain of less than a pound but a loss of 2% body fat relative to last round. I did get in more strength exercises (some were in the form of my PT) relative to the past and I think that is helping the running.

11/19 145.70 - only 0.1lb down but happy as its the weekend
11/20 145.80 - that 0.1lb has gone back on again but really happy as it means that I have effectively maintained over the weekend which is always a big thing! I know its wasn't fat gain but often used to "gain" 2-3 lb over a weekend so a good start for me for R23
11/21 146.00 minimal 0.2 lb on - don't know why as drank usual amount of water, did my 12 mile cycle ride, ate within my calories. But I am effectively maintaining which after my losses in the last round which were so much more than I thought, I am happy with. I am still 5.4 lbs down from where I was two weeks ago - yay!!! Non scale victory today though - put on a pair of trousers for work I haven't worn for a few weeks and they were so much looser so whatever the scale says today I have definitely lost inches so all good!!! Good food day planned and 1hr PT session tonight
11/22 145.1 -0.9lbs. Obviously last 2 days were a weekend backlash (although not totally sure why - can only be my Sunday apple crumble again!). I'm in the UK so no thanksgiving for us but a night out with the girls on Friday for chinese so salt likely to play a part over the weekend - must remember to keep drinking plenty.
11/23 144.8 another .30 lb gone. Feeling motivated at the minute - not sure why or how or whats different? Maybe its coming on here every day and "checking in" and seeing everyone else's comments - not sure. But feeling motivated, feeling good.
11/24 144.80 so STS. Chinese with the girls tonight - intending to stay focused and not go mad! Also driving tonight so alcohol not a problem - going to drink plenty of sparkling water
11/25 Didn't weigh in this morning! Late night and hubby brought me a cup of tea in bed this morning - a rare treat as I'm up first almost every day and usually weigh in first thing. A controlled night last night though - did have a bit of everything including chocolate cake for dessert but drank plenty of water and on track today so hopefully no damage!! 3 days to go and mini target is around 143.50 - 144.00

11/27 147.60????? how on earth ? Had chinese on Friday and a bit of chocolate cake and then a biggish dinner last night but no different to any other Sunday dinner so this seems a tad unfair But no reason not to have a "good" day today, maybe up my water intake as didn't drink as much as normal over the weekend and see what happens. Impossible to put on 3lbs of real weight in a couple of days given what I ate and did record in MFP. Till tomorrow morning .......
11/28 147.30 0.30 lbs off - thats it ??? Cant understand why I am 1.5lbs up over the last 10 days ? Does one night overdoing the salt in a chinese takeaway take this long to go ? I did log what I and yes I was over but only by around 500 / 600 calories for a normal day ? Will keep drinking my water today, get my butt and go to the gym tonight and carry on as I was to be honest as was all going so well?
But on the plus side I am still 4.1 lbs down over two rounds so I will finish on a positive note. Bring on the next round7 -

11/19 - 149.16 This should be normal fluctuation since I have been sticking with the plan. Went to the pub for a drink last night, but we walk there and back which is about .5 mile. The cold and early darkness is making it difficult to get my walks in, but I am determined to keep at it as long as I'm able.
11/20 - 148.28 I hope I don't bounce up and down all round again.
11/21 - 148.28 Was surprised to see this number again today. I've been getting really munchie late at night but resisting the urge to eat more. I might try moving dinner an hour later and see if it helps.
11/22 - 148.06 Had pizza as a treat for dinner. It was well within my calories so I should be ok.
11/23 - 148.94 My sciatica has flared up. Trying to do light stretches to easy some of the pain.
11/24 - 147.84 We are celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, and I think I am going to give myself a day off monitoring every little bite and just enjoy my meal. I don't plan to go wild, but I will be enjoying a slice of pecan pie.
11/25 - ??? No idea where my post for this day went.
11/26 - 148.72 (after breakfast) Thanksgiving meal was nice, but Costco does not know how to make a pecan pie. It was the one thing I was actually looking forward to and it was awful. (perhaps a good thing) Ate only 2 bites and tossed it. Back to calories counting again today.

11/19 - 185 - lunch with old friend and ribs for dinner. Feel like I made healthy choices so not worried about this gain.
11/20 - 184.2 - moving in the right direction. Introducing alcohol back into my diet slows the process to a crawl. Truly need to get a handle on drinking.
11/21 - 183.4 - Back to my end 22 weight, I feel good but the weight is dropping so slowly, all I want for Christmas is the 170's....
11/22 - 183.2 - Decided to meal prep and made a wonderful crustless quiche with broccoli, roasted red pepper, red onion, fresh dill, all the good stuff. It smelled delicious and looked beautiful and festive. I carefully recorded and weighed every ingredient for my log. I left it to cool on the stove and my stepson spied it and asked if he could have some. Long story short - he used a stool to get a small plate from an upper shelf and left the stool at the counter and when I walked into the kitchen next there was an opportunistic Chihuahua eating the quiche. I just wanted to cry.
11/23 - 182.8 - new low! Canadian's have already had our Thanksgiving day feast in October so it's smooth sailing for me until Christmas! Happy Turkey Day to my friends that celebrate it.

11/20 - 242.6 - I have been totally out of control this past week. Really trying to get my stuff together and get back on track this week. Thanksgiving will make it tricky, but I've decided I need something to work toward, so I'm researching 5k races. Tomorrow WILL be better.

11/19 258.2 I have been stuck for awhile give or take a couple of pounds. Time to get the needle headed in the right direction again. The holidays are a concern because I typically put on about 10 from Thanksgiving to New years and I can't afford to do that anymore. My goal this year is to actually lose 5 during that span, now thats gonna be a challenge. Have a great round everyone.

So, now I ask myself if this is true then why do I do it. yes why indeed. Time to get those 2 pounds off and eat like a grown up.

25 pounds in 2.5 months is AWESOME! You will hear this a lot - Weight loss is not linear - You are making progress!
You are right though, 30 days from now you are either going to be blown away by how much you have achieved or you are going to regret not having done your best. Choose to be blown away!5 -

I am back for Round 23. I've been logging my calories every single day, but it hasn't been easy. I'd forget until the last minute. I'd do it though, and I never missed a day. Both of my sons' had really messed up birthdays this last round. My oldest turned 14 and my youngest turned 9. For 2 weeks we were at the hospital with Mom, and the day after our sons' made it through their birthdays (which are 4 days apart), Mom passed away. We've been in Missouri laying her to rest. It has been incredibly hard, and it is going to take some time to get back into the swing of things. Cancer is an ugly beast. I don't want her in pain or suffering anymore, but how I miss her so very much. We spoke every single day. Sometimes it was about her grandchildren, about her health, about the weather, what we were making for dinner, or what we did that day. I'm going to miss those talks most of all. Everyone keeps saying I will get adjusted to the new normal, but I'm not liking it at all right now.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks @quiltingjaine for sending a message to check up on me. You knew what had happened without me saying a single word. You just noticed my absence. I appreciate that you reached out with your support and condolences. It means so much. You're the reason why I'm back this morning...doing these challenges again.

11/24 166.6 Miss Mom a lot this Thanksgiving. Spent 2 days cooking for my husband and his brother, so they could still have a family get together with a lot of Mom's recipes, AND my BIL never showed. He decided he wanted to invite strangers into our home without discussing it first with my husband. My husband wasn't appreciative when he found out, so he refused to come. So much food in my fridge now and such an upset hubby.
11/25 167.4 Baked 2 pies today for my side of the family's Thanksgiving. So many new faces this year and people flying in from out of state. I enjoyed visiting with everyone, but it seemed so surreal.
11/26 165.4 Have all but 6 thank you notes done for those that sent flowers or gave donations in Mom's memory. I ended up having a horrid migraine, and I still do have it. I've been in and out of sleep since about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. It's been awhile since I've had one of those.
11/27 165.4 Spent the day working on laundry, preparing for a data meeting tomorrow, and lesson planning. I also finished all the thank you notes.
11/28 166.6 Well, it's back up today, but that's okay. I'm 2 oz. down from where I started, and it was Thanksgiving. I'll take it.

11/20: 158.0 Yikes. I almost decided to not join this round since my rocky start but all the more reason too right?! Coming off from my son's birthday weekend. Cake, pizza, and drinks with family visiting. It was great but now for some serious water retention to get rid of!
11/21: 155.6 bye bye water! Now for a lower number pre-Thanksgiving. Today is my last run before my first 5k on Turkey day. Feeling confident I will run the entire thing which is the only goal I have, oh and to have fun! Heading to my sister's tomorrow which will be difficult. I have 2 thanksgiving meals to go to this round and my cousin's wedding, so my goal is to maintain the same average weight this round as last round.
11/19: 119.8- This is a jump up of a lb from yesterday, but I'm really feeling my strength workout from yesterday so I think that is contributing a bit to the increase.
11/20: 120.4- Eating wasn't great yesterday as I bought my nemesis, tortilla chips, at the store.
11/21: 119.4- Not excited to see the scale tomorrow I had movie theater popcorn for the first time in 6 months. And it wasn't even as good as I remembered!!
11/22: 119.8- Well it went up but it could have been worse. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to the turkey and mashed potatoes.
11/23: 119.8- Mashed potatoes yum
11/24: 119.4- I had a wonderful Thanksgiving #1 with my family. I ate all my favorites but logged it and tried to not stuff myself. I'm off to Thanksgiving #2 with the in laws today. They have deep fried turkey.
11/25: Away from scale. Went to cousin's wedding. I've driven a total of 16 hours over the last 3 days.
11/26: 119.2- Not bad at all but I know that I am dehydrated from all the driving that I've been doing. I will be drinking a lot of water today, especially because I have a nasty cold.
11/27: 119.2- Rehydrated myself yesterday but kept to the couch the whole day. Going to reset my eating to healthy foods for this week. I would like to get under 119 tomorrow to end the round.
11/28: 118.8- This is the same weight that I ended up last round, but my average weight ended up lower. Ready for the next round!
Round 23 Avg Weight: 119.53- beat my goal!6 -
Back again! I started midway through Round 2 at 153.9 on 4/29. For this round I'd like to get below and stay below 140. Started at 162 something back in early March so I'm down over 20 pounds but haven't lost in a couple of months. I am aiming to reach goal of 132 before New Years. It's been verrry slow the last couple months.

11/21... 141 More like it... did 75 min on ellip yesterday. Today, I will go back to entering food in diary before eating it. Helps me decided whether or not it's worth the cost. More ellip
11/22... 140.8 Ellip yesterday 45 min... water, ellip and entering before eating = goals for the day. Happy pre Thanksgiving to those in US.
11/23...140.8 Did 75 min on ellip, no wine for 3 days, ate sensibly and within limits, surprised weight didn't drop.
11/24...1418 50 min ellip ... way too many carbs yesterday with Thanksgiving.
11/25...141.2 Surprised at drop as we had a second thanksgiving yesterday. Did 60 min ellip. Drank lots of water.
11/26...141.2 Went to gym yesterday, today gonna get some walking in. Salad. Big salad and protein and water today
11/27... 141.8 It's looking like another round of not losing. Went for a walk in the park yesterday, ate within limits. More exercise? I so want to get below 140 and to stay below it. OK, enough whining.
11/28... 142.6 Did 50 on ellip but also whined and wined. Here's to a better next round.7
