Loads of people a couple of months ago because I made a comment about the wrong use of "your" lol. I got a warning for it at the time because that's also against guidelines - so that was fair. I definitely read them after that.

Honestly, I don't mind if someone is decent about explaining the right way to spell. But, some people are just right rude about it. Kind of like the anonymity gives the the ability to do things they otherwise wouldn't.
At the same time, I think it shouldn't be a flaggable offense to offer up constructive criticism on spelling or grammar. So long as it's done appropriately.1 -

Well yes, then there are those people. I don't know about others, but I tend to be a little more secretive/discreet about correcting people because I have had several friends and family members (myself included) who had dyslexia or some other form of learning disability which affected them. Wouldn't want to humiliate or completely trounce upon someone for a simple spelling error.
