LOVE that more and more women are starting to realize the benefits to lifting heavy and move past the myth!! I absolutely love being strong!!
Here are my pics (lifting pic was taken about 3 months ago so I've gotten a little bit more definition since then but you get the idea). Still not at goal but getting there
Before 323lbs
Current 183lbs
Wow great job!! Could you please go in detail with your full eating plan and lifting routine.. I'm 350 and need advice desperately...3 -

Thank you I started at 76kg (not shown) Got down to 61kg at the end of last year, and now back up to around 68kg give or take!
Are you a powerlifter? I have been training and looking to compete in strongwoman stuff, but the UK comps seem to be either very light, miles away or massively heavy ha!

I hold my state's deadlift record for my age/weight. So...pretty good? LOL
It's actually a LOT of fun. All the women are super supportive and root for each other. I really enjoy it.5 -

Oh, there are tons of people (men, mostly, I guess) that deadlift more than me. Now that I think about it, I may have the heaviest female deadlift at my gym. It's a powerlifting/bodybuilding gym. We have a woman that has won a gold medal in bench press at World's. And Jesse Norris trains there - he has multiple world records in powerlifting. Not bad for little Idaho.1 -

I forgot to say that that's the 4th heaviest girls deadlift ha!! Mine is the same kind of gym, which is why I chose to train there, couldn't go back to a chain gym now!! Your gym sounds amazing, I'm jealous!

Guys, I'm so excited about this, I'm sharing it in every thread that is at all related to heavy lifting. 385 lbs!!! If I can deadlift this from the floor at my next meet (instead of a block pull), I'll break state record.
Does this lift make me look bulky?!?

I love lifting and do it with Crossfit. I have a friends daughter(38 years old) who keeps saying she can't lift because she gets too big. I wish she could understand that she will not get big, the reasons she is getting bigger is due to her drinking and eating way to much as well as sitting on couch looking at her phone all day.
I was getting frustrated recently with my weight being stagnant as I have goal to lose about 10 more pounds but I did measurements yesterday and realized all my strength training has helped me lose another 1.5 inches this month.
Lifting is the best thing that has happened to my health and weight loss. I love it when I tell people I lift and then they ask me how old I am, I tell them 51 years old and feeling younger and healthier every month.
Keep up the good work everyone, we all know how good lifting is for us21 -
I wouldn't consider myself bulky at all, but I do have a decent muscle base and curves which I worked hard in the gym to build over many years with surplus (bulk) cycles. I also keep my bodyfat levels more in the fitness or high end of athletic range.
When people who lift flex, you can better see their muscles. I personally love to see people show off muscle, but some may be intimidated by that and it can put them off lifting. But see when I don't flex is what I look like most of the time in my everyday life. Lifting and building muscle has made such a difference in my confidence, my strength, my aesthetics, my outlook on food and eating, it has been so healthy for me all around.
