My fiance ordered pizza last night and I resisted temptation and made something healthier for myself.18

Had to stop at the store after work and was starving. Decided to get a bag of m&ms because I could fit them in my calories. Got to the checkout and they only had the sharing size bags (the size I usually get). Picked one up, looked at it for a second, and put it right back down. I felt I couldn't just eat half the bag and the whole thing would have thrown off my day. Came home and ate my planned dinner :-)30

I saw my Dr earlier this week and he's referred me to see a nutritionist and I start going next week. Pretty pumped about that.15 -

Out of town with my family, I ordered penne quattro formaggi at dinner at the hotel's restaurant, not knowing exactly how many calories it was worth. I only had some 700 cals left.
After eating half of the portion, I asked my husband, who is also dieting on MFP, if I should finish the pasta or not. He said go ahead, eat it, but I decided however not to. And I was thrilled I didi it and stayed under my calorie goal for almost 3 weeks now.20 -

I didn't eat chips at work yesterday. Even though they are my absolute favorite and I normally get a huge plate full every Friday. And I'm giving away the award chocolates that we were given today.20

In the Pacific Northwest, winter means torrential rain and wind. This week, as I was making a mad dash across the parking lot at work, I realized I was running. Considering I had knee surgery last month, this was huge for me. I can only go up from here!32

PLUS my appetite is not what is usually is, so as this "thing" departs from me, I'm pretty sure the scale will reflect it, so BOOM--big ole NSV for me. Sickness? Bring it--all I got for you sickness is joy unspeakable, thankfulness/gratitude for being ready, willing and able to fight it off and the probable weight-loss I'll get, so there sickness, can't WON'T keep me down AT ALL and ALL the down time will be spent being even more joy-filled and positive and treating myself like a princess, period.

Finally this sickness is about 99.995% GONE from my body--YAY! I'm feeling so much better today. That said, having a "good" attitude an attitude of nothing gonna defeat me nor get me to buy any "poor me" mess, an attitude of no matter how much anything (including sickness) tries it's darnest to get or keep me down, I'm NOT having it, period. I'm going to "roll with the punches" so to speak has helped me so much during this down-time. I didn't lose as much as I was hoping to in this bit more and two-weeks down time, but I didn't gain much either. I'm up 2 pounds and I'm counting it ALL joy. Why? Well, for one, because I can and will and do and two, because this sickness could have been/felt/affected me horribly, but I REFUSED to "allow it" to, and three, because we're just 40 wonderful days before springtime and with NO pressure, but total motivation, enthusiasm and determination, I've got my nose to the grind-stone to be down at least 5 pounds in the next 40 days ( a bit more than 5 weeks). That's my NSV today. 6 -

10 days back on losing track after 6 months of maintenance. I've missed this 'I'm on a mission' feeling! 19

Size 4 jeans. Never in my life did I ever dream I'd be here. And really my whole focus was getting to a healthy BMI 67 lbs ago. BMI is now healthy. But boy size 4 just feels fantastic!20

Today I hit 366 day streak. Since this is my 1st anniversary on MFP, I had a look back at what I achieved in the year:
Weight: 270 lb to 198 lb (-72)
Neck: 39 cm to 35 cm (-4)
Waist: 121 cm to 95 cm (-26)
Hips: 136 cm to 113 cm (-23)
Size: tight 20W to 12
I am ecstatic about the results!! Slowly but surely this way of life works! Even when scale doesn't move or moves up (different social events), if you persevere in 80-90% of time, stay on track, exercise, the results will be there.
Now I am revved up for another successful year on MFP!

Congrats on your NSV. I noticed that you said you live in the PNW. Might I ask where? I travel to Seattle a few times a year and think it is a beautiful part of the country.

Two NSVs in the last couple days!
My son was watching one of my deadlift videos. He goes “Mom, your waist looks so slim!”
Second, a serious Strongwoman (Strongman competitor) said I looked amazing! This woman is BUFF! 21 -
The other week I was at my job (I'm a cashier) and someone I haven't seen in awhile came to my till. While I was ringing their order through they mentioned how I lost a lot of weight. I replied by saying that I lost around 80. She said "yeah more like 100!". This flattered me lol even though I am only at 80 lbs lost and my goal is 100 lol. Then the same week another lady came through I knew and she said she almost didn't recognize me for a second lol. Every time I run into someone I haven't seen in awhile they always mention how much weight I've lost now. It's almost become a normal thing hearing someone mention it when I talk to them or vice versa!20

I live in Vancouver British Columbia and the rain is literally depressing! However, works well for weight loss and fitness, cause getting warm at gym seems more appealing!6 -

Yesterday it rained. Hard. Gotta love the English weather.
Went to the local Parkrun. It was raining but bearable. My son and I were tail walkers as he'd had an operation a couple of days before and he's not allowed to run for a week. I was worried about him, and kept saying that he didn't need to do the whole walk but he said that he wanted to do it as he was getting irritable due to not being able to exercise. So we finished the walk in record time. And got wet.
Got to 3.30pm and I was climbing the walls as I wanted to go out on the bike. Stuck my head out of the door - still raining, that horrible drizzle that soaks everything.
By 3.45pm I decided that I didn't care, I was going. So I did. My husband said I was mad, my teenagers rolled their eyes at me, my five year old said "See you later!".
The original plan was half an hour, being as it was getting dark. Half an hour into the ride I decided to make it an hour as, hey, I was wet anyway. And I have lights . . .
So I did the hour. Got home soaked, cold but happy, plus 16-day streak!
Today it's raining. AGAIN. Harder than yesterday. When I got up this morning, it was snowing and I was, "Yep, no cycling today."
But I will be going out on the bike today as my five year old has inspired me to do it. She does the Junior Parkrun every Sunday - today's was number 22 and she hasn't missed one since she started going. It was pouring with rain by the time we left the house but it didn't put her off.
She was awarded her marathon wristband (21 parkruns = marathon distance) and she was so excited to get it that her enthusiasm had everyone there smiling. She then jointly-led the warm up, even yelling at the parents to "get those knees up!"
Then she ran. In the pouring rain. She didn't moan one bit, even when her shoes filled with water after she hit a huge puddle. She just kept going and got a new personal best. She was drenched but at no point did she even consider not going, or not running.
I was so proud of her. She is truly inspirational, as is my son. And I WILL be going out on the bike later. I am NOT going to break my cycling streak 34
