Hi! I'm actually directly across the water from Seattle. I live in the Bremerton area.

That is amazing! I have yet to go to Bremerton, but do catch the ferry for Bainbridge for a day when I go up with family.

You aren’t too far from where I stay (not trying to be a creep. ) which is Belltown. PNW unite!

I came home from a hard workout and my friend came over with pizza, which I’ve always had a hard time exercising restraint over while I eat it. In the past, I’ve had to choose the lowest calorie pizza, because whatever comes out of the oven usually ends up getting eaten by me in one night. I’m a fairly healthy eater, but pizza is my kryptonite.
My little victory is that I had 3 sensible-sized pieces with some fruit on the side and I didn’t die. I can exercise self control!31 -
This morning when I rolled over in bed, I realized that I actually rolled. No more hefting myself up so my stomach and boobs were clear before flopping my whole body over.25

Heard that. I would do the same thing in the past. Congratulations! Self-control is a wonderful thing!

I should probably be offended or slightly creeped out by this but here goes:
I was at a musical tonight and this random guy who was sitting next to me could not keep looking at my legs. When we stood up at intermission he gave me the once over more than once. Lol!16 -
Today for work I had to provide doughnuts for a program. (I also brought mandarins.) Not only did I not have a doughnut, I didn't even lick the glob of frosting off my fingers after I moved them to the serving plate. I mean, there was frosting ON me and I stuck to not having sugar today.51

I love that you brought mandarins.7 -
I let my $1 Big Mac coupon expired today.41

Someone who I hadn’t seen for a while told me yesterday ‘you’ve shrunk!’ I’m only 8lb down and doesn’t feel much, but great motivation!14

While I was out for a run yesterday (all 1 painfully slow mile of it!), I got cat called by three entirely different people! I found it both flattering, and very annoying. It’s nice to know that people find my new shape attractive, but I’m not enchanted with the way they chose to express it.16

We finally got warm enough weather to take the bike out this weekend. Did the Great Western trail on Friday. When we unloaded at the trailhead the biker returning from his ride said that the trail was too snowy for him and he had turned back after a couple miles. I had planned to ride the whole 17 miles and have husband pick me up at the other end. Kept with my plans. There were some snow covered areas where I had to take it slow and cautious but didn't turn back. There were some parts of the trail completely dry and some parts almost totally snow/ice covered. Made the whole way. Didn't make any speed records but I made it.
Saturday went down to the bike trail near Downtown Des Moines and was able to get 20+ miles in. Did have to turn back sooner than planned due to a very unsafe stretch on the trail, but did some extra loops to make it to over 20. Have already exceeded the miles (17) that I did in January 2017 and may be warm enough to ride next weekend.
Also did something 6 days last week. 3 days in gym, 2 days on bike and one day walking for 40 minutes. Sunday was a rest day but did get some organizing done in a storage area in our basement.

I have gone back to the treadmill as my lifting has caused me a bunch of tendon pain. It is ok and I figgure the tendons will heal eventually and I can get back to the weights.
I lift the treadmill all the way up and walk it as fast as I can. I worked up to the top so now I like to set it up and chew up my 1000 calorie goal. The NSV is that I have been doing some running on it. First a couple tenths of a mile, then a couple more. Yesterday I ran 6 tenths total a quarter mile at the time and then a tenth. I walked at 15 in between and added another tenth at the end. I hit my 1000 calorie burn goal. I know a few tenths is nothing to some of you marathon folks but it is a big deal to me. A good starting place any way.20 -
Back in September 2017, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with an A1C of 8.1. I changed my diet, started exercising and have so far lost 40 pounds. Today, I received a call from my doctor about blood work I had done on Friday. My A1C is now down to 5.7, which is the lowest point to still be considered prediabetic. She said that I can reduce the amount of Metformin that I take a day. Although I still have a long way to go, I'm so happy that my hard work has paid off. Looking forward to keeping this momentum going and maybe be off the medication completely this year.35

I was sweeping in the garage yesterday when a neighbor I've never really spoken with came by and commented on my weight loss. She told me that I was looking great, and that she sees me walking the dog all the time and is impressed by my dedication! It came out of left field but it left me with a giant grin on my face!26

During my recent vacation to Hawaii, I kept the promise to myself to try Paddleboarding. It was the highlight of my trip really...I have never felt more free from the weight than I did whilst standing tall in the ocean....my body working hard but at the same time not....it was not difficult for me. GAH!!! the rewards for hard work just keep coming....30

I ordered a bridesmaid dress based on my measurements (without trying on that size first) and it was a perfect fit!12

I jogged for 8 minutes straight before work, so I could afford the calories for dinner tonight and not be STARVING! I should have done another 8 minutes, but I would have been late. I could NEVER have jogged a year ago, and I would NEVER have killed time in the gym before work.20

Last year I bought a racerback running shirt which I never wore because it was too clingy and made my armpits and stomach look bad. Got dressed this morning and it was warmer than expected, my other racerback didn't go with the capris I already had on, when I remembered the clingy one. It looks fine on me now. My loose armpit skin is shrinking and my stomach is flatter. My husband even complimented me and asked when I got a new shirt.24

This "may" sound like a teeny tiny NSV, but it's huge to me....here it is:
Minding my own business (keeping out of other people's affairs and focus on myself instead)--getting my "own" house (body, etc.) in order and just plain recognizing and backing away from being a "busy body, a gossiper, listening to gossip, offering "advice" (without being asked) and basically, again, allowing or stirring up mess in myself (inside and out)" so to speak--today, and from this day forth, I'll just STOP "worrying" about what other people are doing/saying and again, just do my thing and do it with all of my might". Why? Because it's not good for me nor anyone else, to be "adding my (UNinvited and frankly unwelcomed 2 cents" in to a situation AND more important, no longer allow myself to get "bent out of shape" (so to speak) when people aren't doing/saying/thinking/feeling/being what "I" think they should=YUCK, period. I'm tired of using the "excuse" of "caring about folk" for my reason(s) to open up and welcome negativity and yuck, just getting in my own way. From now on, I'll make it my "business" to simply just mind my own business and study to BE QUIET.
Also, what I'm using as a "measuring stick" for am I minding my own business is I am THINKING before I speak, am I my getting defensive, offended, taking stuff personally, forsake thinking/acting/speaking impulsively and getting angry (and petty) over nothing really. I have the CHOICE to "stop the "madness", so to speak. this is my NSV today YAY!!!22 -
I can take my wedding ring off, for the first time in months... close to a year! Not that I want to take my ring off, but I sure didn't want to have to have it cut off.21

I did the stairmaster for 20 mins at the gym and beat the highscore for this week.19
