Hi girls!
I am 5'2 and weigh 92 pounds. I'm trying to gain weight.
According to the internet, my BMR is 1250. I usually eat around 1300.
Eating more calories is difficult for me, as it upsets my stomach. What foods should I eat that are high in calories but light for the stomach. Is yougurt a good option?0 -

Bodies aren't full based on calories. They are filled by the make up of those calories (proteins, fats, carbs, fiber) and the volume. Also, if you want to gain weight, you won't be able to do it by only eat 50 calories above your BMR. In fact, you will probably continue to lose. You need to hit above your TDEE, which is all the calories you burn in a given day. The below thread should be helpful. Is yogurt good, yes, especially full fat.. and even better when you top it with granola... and chocolate.

I just completed shortcut to size about 5 weeks ago. Great program. I'm coming off my bulk and have started cutting after dropping to maintenance. Hope there is some evidence of the program left3

How much did you gain?0

I did a slow bulk from 7/2016 until 3 weeks ago. I gained about 10 pounds, but couldn't stand the fluff any more so I'm hoping some of it is muscle. I was doing another 12 week program prior to S2S. I definitely saw strength gains. I had to modify some since I have a home gym with a rack, but overall stuck with the program.2

Anybody have any advice for anxiety? I have intense anxiety with calories and food in general. It makes it hard to have a decent intake every day.0

Probably would be best to see a therapist.3 -
Hi everyone.
Im also trying to gain weight, im about 7 stone the highest ive ever been lol and 5'4. Just wondering do you think i should take a weight gainer which has carbs protein and calories in. Or to take protein shakes? I cant decide because i am struggling to get my calories high everyday. Thanks!0 -
Well for me I've tried mass gainers before and they never helped. Plus they made me constipated. I prefer protein shakes better.0

You are better off making your own high calorie shake. Mass gainers are very poor quality and just loaded with dextrose and maltadextrin (fast metabolizing sugars) which often cause stomach issues.2 -

I use MyProtein whey isolate powder and mix with full fat milk- sometimes I add bananas and/or peanut butter to bump up the calories.1 -
I make a morning shake: 1c of milk, 1c of oats, 3 eggs, 3 egg whites, 1 scoop of protein powder, and 1banana. You can add peanut butter. It taste like a banana shake and it's like 1,146 calories. I would prefer this to mass gainer any day. I hope this helps. I add a pic of the macros so you can see how many grams of protein, carbs, and fats. Of course it also depends on the brand of food you buy but it's a more or less.

Yesssss!! Finally people who don’t want to lose weight! People look at me crazy when I say I’m trying to gain weight!! And I genuinely get offended lol! They have no clue the mental struggle someone who wants to gain weight but can’t go through! I’m 5’6 and I have recently gained 3lbs since I started at 123. I’m turning 30 in June and my target weight before then is between 140-145. Ultimately I would like to maintain my weight between 150-155. Anyone feel free to add me! I need the support of those who understand my struggle!2

Zombie thread from a year ago!
Lots of women on here gaining, though. Do you lift? 150-155 at 5'6" is on the high side. I'm 5'5"ish and bulking to 145 or so before cutting down.1 -
