Lol I wasn’t joking when I said it was luminous green!!
That’s all from my neighbour (and partly nature) but she never washed the floor from her dogs.
I love it though, I have all the curtains and blinds open at the back of the house now where I used to shut them because it was just awful to look at!5 -
@HGSmith0920 try to keep going on my gym days for the routine but if feeling sore will do something different like upper body instead of legs and then enjoy the steam room and Jacuzzi (Have never regretted going to gym but have regretted not going)
JFT

@cory17 Thanks for the advice! I will go tonight! And I'll do arms and chest maybe. I wish my gym had a steam room or jacuzzi! Lol. But I can always just take a nice hot shower. That usually really helps me.
@Bex953172 How have you been feeling the last few days? Have you needed to take the tabs?1 -

And doesn't it lift your spirits to be able to let light in and have a view to the outside? Do you have a grill?2 -
hey @Saragirl2 , can you please share the recipe for the pancake??2

I don’t but it’s in our “to buy” list now ready for summer!!3 -
I'm very proud of myself. Lol. I dragged myself off the couch and out of the house. I stopped for coffee(my 4th cup!!) and then went to Staples and the food store. I'm actually really surprised I did it. I'm feeling more alert now too. And the gym is actually looking like a possibility. I forgot that is no hockey on tonight so there isn't really anything for us to watch so I figure I'll leave him home with his video games and I'll go spend some time making myself sweat. Lol4

Funny how you can have a successful day based on your initial goals but so many other challenges thrown up you still feel rubbish. I did nearly everything I planned to do today but still feel like a failure because work was so tough today. Going to try and stay positive because of the ticks but maybe fewer goals for tomorrow...
Recap 29/1
- exercise before kids get up ✅
- 15k + steps ✅ over 20k by bedtime!!
- 2ltr + water ✅
- stay within calorie goal ✅ steps and exercise gave me a nice big goal to play with
- letter for class parent ✅
- email to year group parents ✅
- guided reading books ✅
- contact twining schools this will not realistically happen before Thursday
- order dvd of daughter’s show ✅
Goals for tomorrow:
- exercise first thing
- Water 2ltr +
- Stay within calorie goal
- Try not to take on too much. Can only do so much for each of the 30 kids in my class. Try not to let one pocket of negativity affect everything else.
- If not too tired try and get to yoga after work to decompress while my own kids are with their grandparents.
That is all. Def time for a sleep. Night all x4 -
JFT MONDAY RECORD
1. stick to calorie goal
2. Go to yoga class
3. Go to personal training session
On a roll
JFT TUESDAY GOALS
1. stick to calorie goal
2. Go to yoga class
Easy peasy! I can do this.4 -
@MLHC1 What are you specialising in within Chemistry? My degree was Chemistry! I specialised in Organic - final year thesis I was trying to make azetidines. I failed, hence not having anything to do with Chemistry anymore3

Or how one person can derail you with an unkind word? I know we choose to allow ourselves to be affected so greatly. But. What if you hadn't done all those daily goals? Exercising, hydrating, eating well? You may have well been weaker physically, mentally, and emotionally when the negativity occurred. We are in a process of change! Just by meeting these goals you are a healthier you all around. And one day, you will handle the negativity differently---because you are going onward and upward.
Peace and joy tomorrow!3 -
Drum Rolls Please...Since the beginning of January, I have lost a whopping 10 pounds of fat! And may I never ever find it again!!!
I am now at 167.
For 1/29, JFT Day 16
I am going to ride my bike 5 miles DONE
I am going to drink 7 ON MY WAY
I am going to log all my food
I am going to eat well
I am going to finish eating by 8pm
What I learned: Today I dropped off well over a hundred books that have been used to teach our kids and co-op classes over the past 20 years to a co-op. I put off getting rid of them because they have been a part of our homeschool journey! Some are friends, lol! But, since I started on this health journey, I've realized that I need to get rid of "stuff" that is taking up space physically and mentally and emotionally. I'm not using the books. My kids don't want the books. I have hauled them from Texas to Europe to NY and now to ID! They are taking up space that I no longer have. They clutter my closet. And it's time to bless someone else with them. And so I easily and freely gave them up today. I can see my laundry room counter top again! It's interesting how getting healthier affects every part of our being. Our countenance. Our confidence. Our peace. Our joy. Our lack of need to hold on to food and stuff. We are changing...and this change is GOOD! (Just know, I still have at least 8 tubs of books, lol!! It's a process, right?!)
Peace and joy!6 -

This is exactly how I have been feeling about having a clean house! It feels so nice to walk into my kitchen/dining/living room and know that is as clean as I can make it! It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and peace. Lol
So I am actually going to go to the gym! I think the fact that I made myself get up and run some errands earlier gave me what I needed to get back up. Dinner has been made and cleaned and the dishes have been done. The DH is playing video games which I find incredibly boring to watch(even though he tries to include me) so I figure I'll go spend some time working out! It'll give me another sense of accomplishment and I will probably sleep pretty well tonight. I have to get up kind of early tomorrow since I'm meeting my best friend for our weekly chat. I love it!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I didn't hop on earlier but I was busy all day at work and then I had to go to oncology appointment for my 6-year follow up post treatment. I usually come home from these feeling happy, happy, happy! But this year I can't celebrate just yet...the Oncologist found some suspicious areas that he can't say for sure aren't cancer. So...that means I go for an MRI next week, Tuesday, and follow up on Thursday for the results. I'm hopeful and feeling very optimistic that the MRI will be clear with nothing to worry about. The doctor didn't say he thought the areas ARE cancer...he just couldn't say for certainty that they AREN'T. If that makes sense? So, not horrible news, but not exactly what I wanted to hear either. I don't really know how I feel right now. Cautiously optimistic?
@Bex953172 Your back yard looks AMAZING! You really worked hard! Holy crap! Looks like two different places. It's lovely and my first thought was how nice it would be to sit out there and grill out. Very nice. Also, I'm going to have to put the quilt on hold for now. I'm so happy you understand. Doctor doesn't even want me to go to therapy right now for the arm swelling (lymphedema) because he wants to make sure he knows what's going on first.
I want to also thank everyone so much for the prayers and positive vibes. It meant a lot to me to log on and see that from so many. You guys are really just awesome. Thank you so much for caring.
Love and hugs to you all,
Tracie
Don't look back...you're not going that way!4 -

1. Log all food
2. Gym(possibly in the morning) I really flopped back and forth about going today but I ended up going this evening and I am soo glad I did.
3. Call Xfinity, Fidelity, and Neurologist Didnt do any of this. Xfinity I am going to wait until after we finish paying off our hockey package, so after February. And it's not Fidelity I was supposed to call but actually, Vanguard and I might be able to do what I need to online. And the Neurologist I just plum forgot. Lol
4. Spend some time job hunting Waiting for my friend to send my resume back to me but I did do a little research. It doesn't really look very promising. But we'll see. Something might come up.
5. Set up new printer Got about half way. I needed a wire that it didn't provide me with. It was just a total headache and by the time I got it I just didn't want to bother with it.
6. Clean/switch out microwave Nope. Was going to do this around the time I needed my nap and then just never got around to it
7. Library for books on writing Meeting my best friend and her son at the library for coffee and a chat tomorrow morning so I will do my library stuff then
8. Clean shower!!!!! Still haven't done this. I think I'm going to put this off as long as I can. Lol
9. Nap Did this but way too early. And I reset the alarm once, something I've been trying not to do. Today was just an off day
10. Dinner Was yummy. DH complimented my cooking and said that he missed it when I didn't cook for a while. Made me really good.
11. Dishes Letting a pan soak that I am about to scrub and then it will be all done
12. Time with DH Doing this now. Went to the gym after dinner while the DH was playing video games but now we are on the couch spending time together...and yes sometimes that includes us doing our own thing on technology. Lol
13. Bed around 11 Probably earlier. It's only quarter to 9. I'm gonna take a shower and then we'll see. Lol
There were more smiles then I expected! That makes me feel pretty good. Lol.
Today was a such a strange day! I went from being pretty awake to super tired back to having energy. Just weird. I guess I got a second wind this afternoon. Lol. I took everyone's advice and did an abs and arms day and when I left they were pretty jelly. Lol. But they seem okay right now. We'll see tomorrow. Having coffee with R tomorrow which I can't wait for! We didn't talk for a few years because life just got in the way but for the past few weeks we've been meeting up and texting back and forth. It's been so nice! We've both grown up so much but our relationship is still pretty much the same. It was nice to have her back again. Gonna try and tackle a few things tomorrow. Hopefully, I won't get so tired in the middle of the day again.
JFT 1/30/18

This is how I feel - I now find that I actually really enjoy going to the gym, and miss it the days I don't go. It helps that I met some wonderful people there who have become friends.
And ... I love your new profile!!4
