Have come down with a cold so feeling super grumpy. Would have really liked to stay at home today, but I have a couple of meetings today that I have to have as they are to help me prepare for a scary meeting I have tomorrow (which is all about deciding what to do about the issue that blew up last week).
I'm going to take it relatively easy though, make sure I have a lunch break and then go home as soon as I have done with meetings.
I miss the days when being sick meant I could stop working and just be sick... These days it seems like I actually have to have an operation for that to happen(!)
So, today's commitments:
- Log everything I eat
- Stick to food plan
- No alcohol
- 30+ minute lunch break
- Take it easy!2 -
Feeling much better today, over slept so eldest was an hour late to nursery!
Never mind hitting snooze I just full on slept through the alarm!
Anyway feeling quite positive today!
Just want to say to you all, thank you for listening to my moaning. I’ve found this pregnancy pretty hard and if I didn’t have you guys to vent to I think I would of lost the plot. My OH can only take so much moaning lol he actually finds it funny how much I have to moan about lol!

Did everything yesterday except doing a painting and I didn't start on taxes. Instead I drove out of town (I live in a small town so I have to drive out of town for about everything) to pick out and buy some new running shoes (mine are a little over a year old and they are not really running shoes). Bonus- found some on clearance! Amazed that they offered a lot better arch support than the same brand that was $35 higher in price. Also- signed up for my very first 5K in June!! The Wicked Wine Run! It's a non-competitive 5K through a vineyard- girlfriend and I are doing it so it should be lots of fun!
JFT:

2. If I have a treat- log it and make it fit (I heard there would be muffins this morning so bringing a lower calorie lunch)
3. Go to the gym on the way home- eating a banana right before seems to help a LOT with not getting too low on blood sugar
4. Get dishes done before DH comes home with groceries tonight

OMG!!! I've fallen below my first goal weight!! It was 155. I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 153.6!!! I can't believe it actually happened. Last year it felt like it never would! It's been two years since I've been this small! I'm so effing excited!
Sorry to rhapsodize. Lol. I just can't contain how happy I am!5 -

1. Accurate log. Leave 300 calories for event at theater.
2. Update Week 5 plans. Get computer cart. Call 5 parents. Call for official transcript. Comment at COP. Reply to HE. Turn in book order form to DK. Email W about tickets for BCSS. Add links to blogroll.
3. 2 sets body exercises (10 lifted push-ups ALL THE WAY DOWN, 40 sec wall sit, 70 sec plank, 40 sec flexibility, 30 sec balance, 15 side leg lifts). 5k steps at school; aim for 6.
4. Add blog writing to Tuesday's JFT. Call D to check in. Gym immediately after school. Strength Day 2; steps to 11k, aim for 12. Check on running.
5. Prep breakfast and lunches for tomorrow. Chop more celery. Meds; leave for theater by 6:40.
6. Teeth flossed, rinsed, brushed; in bed by 9:45.

Today: 173.9. It's been a rough few days. Got a stomach bug, which of course sends the weight all over the place. It's amazing how much you can drop when you expel everything from your system and just the THOUGHT of eating makes you even more miserable.

Love this!! Just for today I promise myself I will start to log all my food again (helped me so much in the past). Will start stretching at least a couple times a week. (this was my NYE goal for 2 years now)

My only remaining goal for today is to get to bed before 2am tonight
Goals for tomorrow:
record food on MFP keep under kj limit (watch out for fat, limit nutalex spread and oil to 1tsp each today)
eat only when hungry - eat only what I want
eat chia first at breakfast
exercise for 1hr on the exercise bike
avoid sugar, coffee, and dairy.
finish all meals before 10pm
be in bed by 2am- aim: 6hrs sleep
Try to think up a goal for the 2nd week of February 2019.3 -

I fell off the horse with my eating plan this weekend so today I'm back on!
Drink water-64oz min. I'm doing OK, but still need to remind myself to drink enough.
Track all my meals today with a focus on reduced carbs/increased protein. I've logged most of my meals today already.
Pack protein bar & apple in bag.
30 min walk at my favorite park by the ocean. It's warmed up so I need to wear my mud boots.
90 ab crunches.
Read today's Simple Abundance- so glad that there's a few others reading this (or who have).
Meditate 25 mins.
Double fish oil & take echinacea. LOL, my DH, has a cold and asks "what's echinacea"?
Read for 15 mins "New Book Of Lifting for Women". 2x today
Busy week and therefore need to plan ahead.
My preplanning paid off with getting everything ready for my art classes. Once I got home, my DH asked if we could have Chinese food which is hard for me to resist. Even after going over on my portions, I wanted to snack on random things throughout the evening. There was no satisfying me so I realized that it wasn't food that I needed. I stopped the binge in its tracks. Had a clementine & savored it. It dawned on me that I had had a busy, stressful day and I hadn't meditated. Wow, I made a connection to what was triggering me and actually changed my path.

Goal yesterday = stay in the green.
Accomplished thanks to biking into work and karate in the evening. Otherwise I would have gone over (due to cheesy wrap and Nutella mocha). I like that I can have nice things if I exercise enough.
Tomorrow’s goal is the same. It will be the first time in two weeks that I stay in the green two days in a row. I’m looking forward to the streak beginning.5 -

I get my water from a well. I am very happy with the water quality, but we do have a problem with particles in the water. Things that are large enough to buildup and overtime clog intakes on faucets, shower heads etc. I have to learn what can take care of this between the well and the house. It has become a real problem over the last two years as the build up has well it has built up.3 -

Well I kinda just lurked on JFT this weekend. Everyone is doing a great job and it is encouraging to see you all persevere through everything!

This weekend I relaxed on Saturday and was productive on Sunday. However, each day I just "played it by ear." I did complete analyzing the 100 glycopeptides I needed to do and now I'm moving on to the next 100. After that just 100 left then I can work on writing my project paper and my poster. Then I get a break from school. I'm hoping the last few weeks of my pregnancy consists of relaxing and preparing for labor with no school worries!!

@Bex953172 Thank you! My Ultimate goal is 125. My next goal weight is 140. That way there's 15 pounds between the next one and the ultimate. I find that more doable then if it was just 125. Lol.
@MLHC1 Thank you so much! I'm still astounded that it actually happened.
I haven't told the DH yet, but I think my weight loss is inspiring him to lose his extra weight. He's 5'3" and weighs almost 200lbs. The problem is that he as a very poor body because of years and years of extreme sports when he was younger. He had no health insurance doing those years so when he hurt himself he didn't go to the hospital or doctor and they all healed poorly. So now he's paying the prince. We have a nice park with awesome trails right down the road from us and we both have bikes and a bike rack so we're going to try a few bike rides when it warms up. It also helps that I pack relatively healthy lunches for him and make healthy dinners as well. So we'll see! Hopefully, it works. He's pretty tired of being so overweight. But I can't wait to tell him that I lost those extra 3lbs! Lol4 -

@missheidi That makes a lot of sense then. Lol. I came from a relatively small school district. My graduating senior class only had like 200 hundred students in it, if that.

I have dermatrillomania? Which is skin picking. So any scabs or spots I just can’t leave alone.
It’s a horrible compulsion to have, caused by my anxiety.

I have managed most of my list today. Feeling recovered after my rubbish Sunday. Think lots of us seem to struggle with weekends but I am really valuing the way that JFT brings me straight back to a new day.

Oh man - I so didn't mean to make one post here and disappear. There's no way I have time at the moment to go back and read the 100+ posts since I was last here, but thanks for those who welcomed me! I'll try to go back and catch-up tonight if I have time. I've found I'm on the computer so much at work that when I go home in the evenings I'm wanting to get on it less and less, so I'll just have to make sure I remember to hop on for this thread.

A bit repetitive, but still sticking with the basics for now until I feel like they're ingrained enough for me to start layering on more things. Despite not checking in, I had a great weekend - did C25K Week 2 days 2 and 3 on Friday/Sunday respectively and tracked everything I ate, and stuck to my calorie goals.5 -

13. Gym Did an awesome workout! I think I am becoming a gym rat.
14. Clean bathroom Kind of but not really.
15. Dinner/Dishes Just have to finish a few things that are soaking and then they are done.
16. DH time Doing this now. He rubbed my neck for a little bit. I have this intense love of rubbing sensations and light touches. I'm a little weird. I would much rather he rub my shoulders or neck then massage them. Lol.
17. Read/Bed by 11 Read at the gym so I might not do it tonight but I have a feeling I'm gonna be in bed by 10 Lol
Had another good day. The late-night yesterday and the sudden desire to spend 2.5 hours cleaning before Mom came over killed a few things I had planned on doing this morning. But I have a feeling I am going to sleep well tonight and if I go to bed early I will probably wake up early. If it is early enough I can go to the gym before I meet with my friend at 9:30. The DH is off tomorrow so I'll spend a lot of time with him. I know it seems like we get a lot of time together, but most of the time we are so engaged in our technology that we dont often spend any real time together. I think we need to change that. I think that will be something we work on this month. I made mozzarella stuffed meatballs. I made the meatballs from scratch and everything. It was incredibly time consuming and annoying. I think that will be the last time I make them. Or at least not until I have a day that I can really focus on it. I spent a really nice lunch with my mom. We had egg salad sandwiches. I dont know why, but I wanted to clean the house, like a really good cleaning, to impress her. I have always been a really terrible housekeeper and that has changed over the last three weeks and I'm finally keeping up with all of the housework. She was dually impressed. If you had told me 7 or 8 years ago that my mom would someday be one of my best friends. I would have laughed in your face. But over the last five years, we have grown so much. Both of us have. Individually and as a mother and daughter. We had a lot of issues to work through, but between a church class we both took and several serious conversations, we worked through all of it and are so much closer than we ever have been. It is absolutely amazing the relationship we have now. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! Anyway!
