Ran for a full 2 miles without walking!38

Great job to everyone on their accomplishments! I love reading this thread. It reminds me that just because the scale doesn't change doesn't mean I should quit, there are a lot of other things to pay attention to.
I went shopping in my closet the other day and found some tops, skirts, and jeans that all fit me now! And the last time they fit I was at least 10lbs lighter - just goes to show once again that the number on the scale is pretty meaningless.
Can't wait till winter is over so I can wear some of this stuff. I used to live in a place where you could wear shorts every day of the year, so not being able to wear something because of weather is new and frustrating.
Also, my cheekbones are showing up! Can't wait to see my collar bones... That is something that, when I see it on other people, I think, "oh, nice!"14 -

This is so cute!

Walked 16+ miles this week as part of a challenge. A personal best. Now to make that *kitten* scale move again.16

1 year on MFP! Logged every day.
This time last year I was 80 lbs heavier, doing bodyweight squats, push-ups, and crunches, and working out on my stationary bike. I hadn't started lifting weights or running yet. And I have no photos of myself from then because I was still too embarrassed by the way I looked - I didn't take my first selfie until Feb 27th of 2017!
I looked at my diary entry for this day last year and it was me complaining that I was eating less than 1200 calories and gaining weight. Well, as y'all know, it's really difficult to keep track of those calories without logging! I had just started trying to calculate my recipes and log accurately, and it was taking me hours. Which led me to MFP, which revolutionized my life. Can't say often enough how thankful I am for this app!33 -
My 1.5 mile run is 14:20 on treadmill, clothes are fitting looser, and a couple friends commented I’m losing weight22

Running around a local park today, I tripped and smacked my face into the track. It hurt. A lot.
The NSV is that once my son and I had walked back to the first aid point and sorted out my face (stemmed the bleeding and applied ice), we carried on with our run.
We also remembered to calculate the distance from where I'd fallen to the first aid point and added that onto the total distance as I forgot to stop my distance tracker.
But we finished the run.
My face is a mess though, grazed outer lip, chin and nose, three cuts inside my mouth, swollen lower lip and nose. Have to drink through a straw (tea through a straw just does not taste quite right).
Does this qualify me as a runner proper, now?40 -

Yep.
Hope you heal quickly.9 -
I went out and bought a new temporary ring set because my wedding ring is officially not staying on at all and I don't want to lose it. Was a little bittersweet putting it away, but I know that once I reach my goal weight I can always get it resized!17

A co-worker brought in treats for Valentine's week today, and I just enjoyed it without guilt because I looked up the calories and logged it before I ate it, knowing that it will fit into my goal and not throw me off track.23

You're my freaking hero!2 -
I found three pairs of athletic pants tucked in a drawer and forgotten about. I was super-thin and in great physical shape (from working out as well as belly dancing full-time) the last time I wore them. They're quite loose on me now, which was startling, to say the least.18

I can finally pull my jeans up and down without undoing the buttons!!! Woop!22

I got my husband to (finally) sign up for MFP and he is using it! He also went to the physio, got the ok to do running. The best part - he is excited about getting fitter! We have our first run together tomorrow and he is excited by it! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!25

When I started 6 months ago, I had a goal pair of pants that my husband bought for me a few years ago and I'd never been able to fit into.
About a month ago, I wore them for the first time. I was grinning like an idiot all day long, and felt like I had a big secret.
Yesterday, when I wore them, I took them off without unbuttoning.
Time for new goal/motivation pants!27 -
Clipped my toenails today23

I bought a pair of jeans 2 years ago when I was visiting family. I was planning to wear them out for the night and they wouldn't even go up past my knees! (They were marked as my then size, so I have no idea wth) After drowning my sorrows in some What A Burger, I ended wearing something with a stretchy band (you know, the old stand by). I found them lurking at the bottom of a drawer about a month ago and pulled them on. They buttoned JUST barely and were cutting off my circulation. I considered THAT an NSV, tbh. Threw them back in the drawer and forgot about them. Fast forward to two days ago when I wanted to wear some black jeans with a top and I pulled that old pair out, hoping against hope that they would fit. Not only did they button, they were so dang loose that as I took the few steps to look at myself in the mirror, they fell off at my feet.
Take that, jerk pair of Ross jeans!

My family loves my chicken parmesan so of course I had to make it for them. I surprised my self when I made a second meal for me of just plain (non-breaded) chicken breast and used the frozen tomatoes, basil and oregano from my summer garden making a nice sauce eliminating a lot of that nasty processed sodium. Also with probably 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. Yummy.23

You're not supposed to face plant on your actual FACE! Good job carrying on, hope you heal quickly!6 -
Had to google NSV lol.
Fit into an old shirt that I accidentally purchased too small and never wore.21 -

I know, I know . . . but these things happen so fast. It was a manhole cover, i stepped onto it with my right foot and caught it with my left foot and . . . over I went. Splat.
I really just wanted to examine the gravel in close detail. I wasn't planning on eating it though.
It looks a lot worse this morning (think: gravel rash from chin to eyebrows, swollen nose and lower lip, no skin on middle of lower lip plus lots of bruising) but it feels much better, not so painful. But more importantly, I can drink tea normally again28 -
I was out for lunch yesterday and ordered a healthy option of a backed potatoe with tuna and a side salad. I was amazed at how full I felt, I didn't even finish the meal and didn't even contemplate a cake afterwards. 6 weeks ago I would have polished off the entire plate and still had cake!29

A lady who works at my current university, who didn't know me 'before', just told me I couldn't really understand her struggle with her weight because "you're so slim".
...actually I'm still towards the 'obese' end of 'overweight', I just carry my weight in my thighs and hips where it isn't so obvious. But dear good gods, that is not a way I ever expected to be described.35 -
Put on my pants this am - can pull them off my body 3 inches or more. They are suddenly too big.20

Had to buy new underwear yesterday. I had recently bought and fit into a size 30 pants, so I was looking at what size underwear I'd fit into, and according to the chart I'd be a small. I was extremely skeptical, but I figured if they didn't fit I'd keep them until they did and just buy some that would fit me. So I got them home and unraveled one, only to see how damn small they are. I was extremely dubious that it'd even get past my thighs. Thinking I was only kidding myself, I tried them on... And they fit! I could not believe it, I still can't really believe it. (Now if only my stomach would catch up with my waist, lol.)23

My shoes are too big, and my rings are all loose!15

My butt fits the toilet rim differently. LOL!27

I am invited to a 65th birthday party. Dinner and a square dance. So I had to find a dress. Went closet shopping and YES a dress I made in 2012 fits.!19

Not until you have a black toe. Sorry, but face plant just means you're clumsy.
(totally kidding and hope you heal quick).
