This week's successes: Starting a yoga routine on my off days. Running for 20+ minutes without walking. Keeping portions under control when eating something less healthy (like pasta). I still haven't had coffee, pop, or fast food since January 1. And I turned 45 years old.
This week's challenges: Weekend yoga seems to be hard to commit to. I also need to work on my hydration.

I am 52 years old, five foot two inches and I work a sedentary job.
Yesterday I weighed in at the 183 again. I wish it had stuck! I did much better over the weekend, but I did make cupcakes for a friend's birthday and ate a couple! Usually I have not been too tempted when baking, but somehow this weekend it was harder!
I had a very inactive day yesterday, not leaving my house and actually getting less than 3000 steps all day! BUT ODDLY - my injured foot hurts more today than it has in a couple of weeks. I wonder if it is because I wore slippers in the house and the injured toe wasn't supported like it is in regular shoes.
My goals for this week include continuing to meet my step goal, yet trying to honor my injured foot (balance!)
Keeping under my calorie goal daily.4 -

Keep pushing yourself...you can do more than you realize.
ps...just to make you laugh,, I always take the apple sticker (that is normally on the apple skin) and put in on my nose....then eat my apple and look at my husband and say "what?" Lol just to make him have a big of a chuckle....

@artistpam Maybe prep your food for the entire week on the weekends or days off. When it’s already cooked, portioned, and bagged, it’s easier to grab and go for breakfast and/or lunches.5

Hard to get a lot of steps when your in the house. I think you did great with over 3,000.
that's usually what I get if i'm house bound.
@FYI
Didn't know that thank you.
@Fabybie
Great loss for Jan. Keep it up.
@flossie
Great loss.
As for me I started over last Thursday so far so good weight in for me is on Sat.
I have 84 cupcakes baked already this morning Now to ice them all. And not have any. None. I can do it.
Because I want to do it. There's 56 ready for Legion since Sunday and I didn't touch any. I put a wet cloth beside me and I whip my sticky fingers on that. I hurry and get the mixing bowl in he sink with water so I don't pass my finger in it and eat it. So doing ok. much much better. Why all the cupcakes for Legion lunch tomorrow. And some for grand kids class room.
See you all lighter.
See you all lighter.

WELCOME! When I started my journey in 2013 I was T2D on Rx meds and 376# and 65 yo!
Now I’m off all Diabetes Rx meds thanks to new Lifestyle. I’m only four pounds away from my WW GW of 184#
I used this Challenge the past two years and lost 37# and 43# by TRYING to lose a pound a week! It helped me to really focus on a daily and weekly basis.

@misshonybee
Welcome I'm also a diabetic. Still on oral meds, But if I don't smarten up I'll end up on insulin This is my last chance, I kind of begged to stay off it this last time. So my next A1C better be good. Let's help each other along on this. We face a lot of the same problems. Probably high blood pressure, cholesterol I also have congestive heart had a stint put it. But feel great.
See you lighter1 -
@Jimb376mfp , that's so great! Good for you! I've been T2 for 18 years now, hard to believe, been on pills and was on two kinds of insulin up until recently. With changes to my diet I was able to go to just the 24 hour Lantus. My doctor is thrilled. She's tried to add Metformin but my system doesn't handle it very well and if I can do better with my carb intake, I'll have fewer post meal spikes.2
-
@LinCharpentier, I put off insulin as long as I could, I was scared of it even tho I need it. Was on two different types, now just on the 24 hour insulin. Since I've cut my carb intake, I've managed to get my A1c down. My doctor is happy where it is, I'd like to get it lower. Diligence! I have high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol, too. My numbers are improving but not quite enough yet to warrant a drop in BP meds...yet! Glad you're feeling good! Think of how much better you'll feel physically and MENTALLY when you're able to keep your numbers in check WITHOUT meds!3

I'm Jessica
50 years old, 5'7"
Heaviest weight 314 (2007)
Current Weight 192.1
Goal weight: 175 (less if my body continues to lose!)
This week's successes: Under my calorie goal every day!!
This week's challenges: Haven't started really exercising.
At my heaviest in 2007, I had gastric bypass surgery. It saved my life. I was depressed and spiraling out of control. I lost steadily for about 3 years, and held steady for another 3. Then the weight slowly started creeping back up. I lost weight down to 175# or so-- As of November of 2017, I was 215#-ish. I started a ketogenic diet because I knew I needed to purge sugar from my diet. I did it!!! I'm down to 192.1 as of this past Saturday. I look forward to this 1#/wk challenge. It feels good to be so much more in control of my eating. No cravings is the one thing I absolutely love about this way of eating and the reason I won't ever go back to a high carbohydrate diet. Many people can balance sugar/carbohydrates in their diets--I'm simply not one of those people. I currently eat 20 grams of less net of carbohydrates a day: my carbs come from my vegetables and occasional berries. I'm looking forward to continuing to be successful with this way of eating.6 -
Week 6 complete
Starting weight: 194.9
Goal weight: 165
Last week weight: 195.5
This week weight: 196.7
This period loss gain: +1.2
Total weight lost gain 2018: +1.8
This weeks successes:
It was not actually a bad week. I was running consistently at 193.6 until I weighted in Monday morning at 196.7. I think what happened over the weekend is I drank very little and the body was holding onto the water. I feel puffy. So I am OK with this. Down again today, yesterday was just a bad weigh in. I am still really just holding steady
This weeks challenges:
Break out of maintenance.

@mizzhunybee
Do you think we will ever get off those meds. I think they put us on them and then give us something to work with that. I'm hoping to get a good A1C in april. Yesterday seen a 5.4 before supper tonight 5.5 so things are looking good. I'm trying to low carb no bread or whites today. But I need many of those days.2 -

Hey All,
I have decided I am done with being fat. I have been this way for much of the past 25 years with a few exceptions like for a year after my divorce. Remarried now and fat again! My niece is getting married August 25 and I have decided to use this as the date to aim for to reach my 50lb goal. This would mean 2lbs a week which may be to hard but it is a place to start!
Day 1 of this challenge
Starting weight: 186.4
Goal weight:135
Current weight: same
Total weight lost:
Todays successes - swam laps for half hour and did not eat those calories.
Tomorrows challenge - save my calories for dinner out!6
