Whenever I feel like it, but I only "officially" weigh myself for the record once a week.

I kinda do that too! So sad when you weight in less in a "non official day" than on the other one haha

I take a daily measure in the morning using Happy Scale to get moving averages for an overall picture, but I do one "official" weigh in a week, in the evenings, that I record in MFP.

That way, I get a good moving picture with the Happy Scale measures, and having my official weigh in at a heavier time of day, I get a dose of realism too, so I can see how close I really am to my goals.

I found interesting that you do your weighting in the evening! But you do have a point there though :)

Usually it's every so often. I do it once a week but sometimes I just forget or don't really want to and sometimes go about 3-4 weeks without weighing myself. I do it when I feel like something has changed

I used to do weekly but found it discouraged me seeing small changes so now I do every 2 weeks and take measurements and progress photos too, sometimes the scale doesn't change by much but I see the difference! Scale doesn't take water and muscle into consideration :)

daily. It motivates me more to keep eating healthily and i am no longer scared of fluctuations.
And i love the graph that my daily logging makes. I think it is awesome to see the line going down

Daily weigher here despite being in maintenance. When I was losing had I weighed only once a week I might have thought I wasn't losing because weight fluctuates a lot. During TOM I can bounce up 3lbs for several days for one thing. I use a trending weight app and that shows me my weight trend is where it should be.

Once a week when I was losing weight. About once a month during maintenance.

I'm more focused on my body composition so I continue to take my measurements regularly.

I weigh daily, but only track on Saturday Morning. I’m totally over stressing the fluctuations so weighing everyday isn’t a big deal for me.

I did change my weigh in day to Saturday morning because we tend to eat out more durning the weekend, even though I’m within my calorie goal, the higher sodium content made me retain water so Monday & Tuesdays weight is always higher. I’m at my lowest weight on Saturdays.

I weigh daily. One thing to note is to take into account that the number of the scale is a combination of your weight including what is in your gut, so if you are say regular, it should be fine but if not, take that into account so you dont feel discouraged.

Every day! Weight fluctuates a lot. Something you could do is weigh every day and then compare weekly averages. I would be afraid of weighing once a week and the day I weigh just happening to be one of my “high” days. I use the app happy scale and that’s more-so just for fun.

I weigh daily, after a wee, nude, even if I know I have overeaten the previous day or more. The highs and lows showing on the scale help me to track what happens to my weight when I eat high sodium or other foods that may have an effect on the scale. This has helped me understand my own body's fluctuations better.

Like many others, I weigh daily and record it on the Happy Scale app, and on Wednesday I use my trending weight as my weekly MFP weight.
This allows me to monitor daily fluctuations and reduces the risk of a high/low weekly weigh in.

I only log once or twice a week on here and monitor my weight, but I do step on the scale daily just to see how things affect my fluctuations.

I weigh myself every morning before I do anything (eat, get dressed, etc) I enjoy seeing the difference, even if I lost a quarter of a pound. It's satisfying :)

Weekly. I drive myself crazy with the fluctuation if I do it daily but Weekly seems to be pretty accurate and I can do it right at work with one of the medical scales.

That's quite interesting! I usually just worry too much when I eat too much sodium or artificial things. Maybe this is an approach I should try...

Hah like 5 times a day! I am nuts with it. But I also know my normal daily and monthly fluctuations.

This was such a great discovery! I had never heard of Happy Scale and I found it to be quite interesting. There's the android version called Libra and I'm so excited to try it! Thanks to you and to others who mentioned I think I just found a really power- and useful tool :)

I weigh daily and then just look at the trends. I use Libra on my phone to track it.

Question for daily weighers: say you record a weekly loss every Friday, do you choose the actual weight Friday or the lowest weight of the week? Hope that makes sense.

Before I started recording every one on MFP, I just did that day's weight.

I weigh every day and write it on a calendar. That way I can easily compare to 1-4 weeks ago and see progress. I like weighing daily because it reminds me to make good choices throughout the day. I found when I weighed less often, my goals weren't in the forefront of my mind when someone brought snacks into the office :) Weight does fluctuate for sometimes no obvious reason, and my period will balloon me up, but it can also be helpful when you *know* you've been eating more calories, to see the effect.

I'm struggling with how often I should weight myself. I think I'd go insane doing it daily. I usually do it weekly, but being a woman that fluctuates a lot because of my period. But also, monthly is waaaay too big of a gap to wait. How about yourself? How often do you weight yourself?

I weigh each morning, after a workout, and each evening before bed. I know how things effect me and nothing sneaks up on me.
