I'd like to join! I don't have 52 pounds to lose, but I'd like to lose 25 by the end of 2018! I've been struggling to lose weight so I think accountability and approaching weight loss in a more fun way (less stress) will help me!

Starting Weigh 315
challenge starting weight 247.8
current weight 245.2
weight loss my week one in this challenge 2.6lbs
I am pleased with this week.
This week's biggest success.......My Glucose levels have been down since my last Doctors visit. Dr. Mair was pleased that I was back on track and in my target zone with almost all my blood sugars. I plan to be completely on target by my next visit April 5th. My prize for a good January/February new uniform pants....I know does not sound exciting but I have been trying to loose one size for over a year. I focus get nearly there then loose focus and have to pick myself up and try again.
My biggest Challenge coming up for about 2 months.......I work out before work at our company gym. They are redoing the showers. I have to shower if I work out before work but if the showers are out of order I will not be able to shower before work. I am not good at working out after work. It is too easy to just go home or to the store. Time to pull up my big girl panties and make an alternative plan I can make work for a few months.

Thanks Jimb376mfp,
Your note to mizzhunybee made my day. My doctor keeps telling me if I work hard I can get off my meds. I am off about half but all of them seems like it is impossible. your note to @mizzhunybee makes it easier to see one day one week at a time and I can do this.
WELCOME! When I started my journey in 2013 I was T2D on Rx meds and 376# and 65 yo!
Now I’m off all Diabetes Rx meds thanks to new Lifestyle. I’m only four pounds away from my WW GW of 184#
I used this Challenge the past two years and lost 37# and 43# by TRYING to lose a pound a week! It helped me to really focus on a daily and weekly basis.2 -
Welcome Newcomers @eminater @dwpod1231 @renee8865
Better late than never! People can join this Challenge anytime...the more the merrier!
@artistpam Awesome first week results! I really didn’t know if I could get off all Rx meds for T2D until a guy at WW meeting announced he had done it. When my A1C was low enough my PCP told me I would always be s Type 2 Diabetic BUT it was now controlled by my diet/exercise plan. She said as long as I was eating healthy and exercising the T2D was controlled.
My regular pool was closed for repairs for a month recently. I had to adjust and make other plans too. The good thing is your situation is temporary but getting away from s good habit makes it hard to get back at it if you do nothing. Make a Temporary Plan and when you can go back to your previous schedule you will be ready.
BTW our middle son is an Artist too He has a framing shop in Brooklyn. Boerum Frames0 -

Total weight lost: 7.8
This week's successes: Started the B portion of P90, it's definitely more challenging and I am loving it!
This week's challenges: I'm actually not too bothered with my weight loss rate what's been bothering me is how slow my fitness level is progressing. I can't wait for it to take much longer before I get winded.

Did well today on low carbing only 33 carbs and under 1,000 calories. But this is my first day after getting a flat tire. And dragging myself like it also. So see what low carbing can do. I also went for a walk today. Need to get my A1C to a good number for April.
See you all lighter.2 -

I go walk at the Arena started that yesterday did my mile and feel great. Going for sure today. I'm alone hubby gone on a road trip to pick up a truck for a friend.
Who would believe that fat eats fat. Darn but it's hard to do when you did 40 years of avoiding fat.
