I accomplished my goal of getting my exercise in before work this week, instead of waiting until after work to do it. Too many excuses and non-excuse derailments if I wait all day - it depends a lot on not being scheduled for last-minute calls at the end of the day for work. It feels great to have already accomplished something before I even head to the office! The toughest part in starting a morning routine for me is just getting started, so I got through that hard part :-)18

Heard that. It's hard to get into that early morning groove. But it is the best way for me to stick to a regular exercise routine. Good on ya'!

Something that I’ve thought about the past few days that’s more of a mental NSV is that every other time I’ve done this, I sweat the small stuff way too much. This time, I’m a lot more flexible. For example, while in the past I may have panicked about the idea of an impromptu lunch or dinner out, now I am finding it easier to go with the flow and not either blow my entire day or sit there worrying about the calories and not be able to enjoy myself. I think that signifies a big difference for me in how I’m doing things this time. A lifestyle change means things happen and I’m not sacrificing my social life or time with those I love because of food.26

Fit into another pair of pre pregnancy pants today! Can't wait to put all of these maternity clothes away and go shopping in my closet!19

I'm wearing a t-shirt today that I haven't been able to wear in about 7-8 years without too many belly rolls for public display.
Also, a couple of weeks ago I accidentally bought some jeans 2 sizes too small. I've gone back to a couple of different branches of the store to exchange them but that particular colour and texture of the denim no longer seems to be available. I've decided to make them my goal jeans, and maybe I should put that in the mini-goals thread but the NSV is that I know I'll get there eventually. The knowledge of being in control of the process is great for peace of mind.24 -
Had a day of he hungry horrors and I gave in a bit and snacked more, but NSV is that I am not worried as I know I have these days once in a while and then get back on track23

I made it to over 22,000 steps yesterday without any major effort---a 50 minute walk at lunch, took the stairs to my office in the morning, and mowed maybe 1/4 of the lawn. Here's hoping I can repeat it today.21

Today is my Fativersary! One year ago today I weighed in at my highest weight and started logging. The SV is that I'm down from last year; the NSV is that I'm here, one year later, with no plans to quit!
Sticking it out hasn't been very difficult, and has truly become second nature. I love and appreciate all of you on here! Thank you for the support, motivation, and accountability!59 -
Last night, my dad told me I 'look like [I'm] getting "littler".' The phrasing took a moment to sink in but once I realized what he said, I said thanks and that I'm trying. It was a little awkward mostly 'cause I could tell he was awkward saying it (he's always been normal weight and I don't think he's comfortable just blurting out "have you lost weight?" Since I'd just met my first scale-goal this week (lost 7% of my starting body weight), it was an extra special moment.30

That's great! I can't wait until I've lost enough for people to notice

I was clearing out some drawers last night and came across a pair of thirty year old trousers from my "rock chick" days.
I got them on
Ok, I had to lie down to zip them up, and I have a muffin-top I didn't used to have, but I'm calling it a victory.48 -
Saw someone who I last saw 20 months ago and they commented that I lost a lot of weight. Yes, I did. And it feels good. More to lose.....17

Started this journey 2 years ago...logging for 2 years. Steady weight loss for the first 79 pounds but I have 30 to go and I have been stalled for months, at least 8 months of a 2-3 lb up and down. Last week I identified that I have not been true to myself with the discipline of logging so I regrouped. No change in the scale yet but the victory is I don't feel defeated. I wont throw away 2 years of hard hard work.43

I'm not down 80 but I've been juggling the same 5 pounds since October of last year. I feel you! Here's to hoping that the spring/fall season will bring success!17 -

Read this and then I remembered - I started this journey on March 6, 2017 - just over a year ago. I have to agree - the support and encouragement here is the reason I am still working on my goals. Thanks for reminding me!

I have the flu (that's NOT my NSV! lol) Normally when I'm ill it's a reason to go off of my plan, stop logging my food, eat all the crap that I can stuff in my gob. Once I'm well, I tend to stay off track and regain all of the weight I've lost and then some.
This time I'm handling it a bit differently. I continue to log my food and stay on track. The only treats I've allowed myself are the ones that are . . . well, allowed.
I haven't stuck to my exercise plan but I have a pretty good reason for that. I can't breathe and my throat is sore (see? Told you I had a good reason!)
An unintended consequence of my eating program seems to be a stronger immune system because although I feel awful, I seem to be getting over this faster than anyone else at work that has the bug. I can't wait to be healthy and able to breathe again to restart my workouts.23 -
I was able to cross my legs today for the first time in a looong while!33

Thanks for posting this. Just what I needed today.13 -
It's been are really stressful day today and I was almost thinking of overeating then I realized that tomorrow is weigh-in day. Eventually that thought just went away. Whew. Also when I walked into work tonight a co-worker came up to me and made sure to say hello. He said he didn't even recognize me yesterday and felt bad. That actually made me feel GREAT. It's working!22
