Back again! Hello everyone!! My motto this week is "write it before you bite it" as I haven't been super consistent logging my food lately.
SW - 182.4 - March 2017
Original GW - 145 - Smashed this in October 2017 and maintained around 143 until the winter blahs and my crazy freelance schedule got the better of me and I put a few back on.
New GW - 140 - really want to work on getting another 5-7 off from where I am now and committing to fitness so I can participate in some adventures with my boys over the summer...no more watching from the sidelines!!
3/18 - 147 - coming in from round 34
3/19 - 147.4 - weekend aftermath...blaming it on the beer. We were super active so I can only hope some of this is also muscle recovery as well.
3/20 - 146.4 - One year ago today....I started tracking my food and weight everyday with the intention of losing 20lbs before a big family vacation and then to keep going to lose a bit more before the summer. I've gone from barely squeezing into size 12 pants and covering my top with flowy XL shirts to not event hesitating to go to the size 8's and smalls and even bought a pair of size 6 jeans last week. I'm participating in sports and activities with my active kids instead of watching from the sidlines!! I'm very proud of myself...it's hasn't all been down...but I didn't let the upswings derail me. Weighing and checking in here everyday has made me very mindful of how my choices affect the scale and what those trends really mean in the long run. I still have some goals to achieve but if this chocolate/craft beer/wine loving mama can do it so can anyone!!

Yesterday I ate way too much for dinner: eggs, hash browns and two slices of buttered toast. It would have been okay if I ate smaller portions of it. Dinnertime overeating is definitely my weakness. I’ll have to work on that.
I’ve done IF before, but am choosing not to throughout my pregnancy. Also, I’m no longer feeling the nausea I had from first trimester, so eating as much carbs as I am isn’t helpful.8 -
**I don't know how to edit my post each day to add that day's weight -- is there a way to do this, or do we post a new post each day?
It's a new post each day. I compose the post in gmail and let it sit in my draft folder, then just add to it every day, cut, and paste. Others have different techniques.
Any way you can do it is welcome!2 -
The first half, I'm at home. The second half (and the first half of the next round), I'll be traveling without a scale. I'm going to try to be mindful on vacation, but not obsessive (I'm capable of being VERY OBSESSIVE).Woman, Age 46, 5'6"

3/19 / 239 / Oof! On the plus side, no headache when I woke up. On the negative side, I got very little sleep, and what I had was pretty uneasy. My husband was extremely restless and had to leave really early. I think he got about an hour of sleep.
3/20 / 236.2 / Nice. Sinus headache from hell, which is less nice.

Hi there! After you post, there is only a one hour window allotted for editing. Best thing to do is copy your daily post and paste it in your diary notes. The next day, type in your daily weight and comment. Copy and paste in a new post on the challenge thread.

3/19 - 226.2lbs. Haha, not much of a downward movement, but I'll take it! We had family dinner at my mom's last night and she made baked potatoes, asparagus, bread crumb crusted haddock and strawberry shortcake. I tried not to over do it and be mindful, but I did eat a looot of asparagus!
3/20 - 224.8lbs. Alright! That's a better downward movement. I was pretty on top of my food intake yesterday. Plus, I did a lot of meal prep cooking last night. I made some teriyaki tofu and zucchini noodles. It was my first time using a spiralizer.

3/19: 233. Surprised at this number given this weekends’ indulgences but hopeful I stay on track. I was off work today so got a work out in the AM and met up my friend for matcha ice cream. I meal prepped for the week and had a big dinner tonight so washing it all down with lots of water. Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
3/20: 234.4 A bit up but yesterday I had very little to eat all day and came home starving. I meal prepped and ended up having a larger portion than I wanted to (oops). Got in an hour of activity though so that is definitely a plus. Today I focusing on drinking a lot of water and staying within my calories. That's it. Sounds so easy, right?

March:
19: 214.2... I will not beat myself up about this. Instead, I'm looking at this as feedback about what currently isn't working. Hormones play a part in this journey in multiple ways, and cravings are a LOT more difficult to reign in the day or 2 leading up to TOM. So, I've been considering what I can do to adjust my regular eating style to allow for my regularly scheduled hormonal fluctuations during this time of month (and ovulation time). Eating at maintenance and cutting out IF for a couple of days is my new game plan. My goal is to prevent the munchie monster from going overboard, which is what happened last night. If I allow myself a bit of leeway, then I feel like I'll be less tempted to overdo it. Once TOM starts, I feel better going back to IF and calorie deficits.
20: 214.2...I prelogged most of my food today, so I'll know where I have wiggle room for PMS cravings.

3/19 = 205.2 (-1.4). BOUNCE BACK™. I'm going to differentiate this loss with everyone's favorite rainbow unicorn, the WHOOSH™. I had a big gain on the last day of round 34 (2.2 lbs), and this is my body beginning to recover from that. I ate well yesterday, was under calories, drank plenty of water, and under on sodium. I have basketball tonight, which means a trip to the gym as well. Good start to this challenge!
3/20 = 204.6 (-0.8). Another BOUNCE BACK™. Good day at basketball yesterday, ate well, drank enough water, good on sodium. The sins of Sunday have been erased; it only took two days this time. I can pretty much predict my weight trend every night at this point based on my behavior during the day (thanks mostly to for tracking). I know a bunch of you have probably reached that point, but it's still pretty cool. Missed the gym last night, so I'll be lifting weights and doing HIIT tonight.

3/19 – 189.6 lbs. – Ugh! The luck of the Irish was not with me…or maybe it was as I had A LOT of things this weekend I shouldn’t have and it could be worse. Drinks, pizza, snacks, diet soda, etc. I know some of the weight I gained over the weekend will fall off as it is water weight and bloating, but I need to get a handle on my social eating/drinking to be successful. I have talked with the hubby and he has agreed to help me say “No,” even when I really don’t want to. I didn’t track this weekend (or for a while now) so my goal is to track everything from here out. I’m also going to get back on track with my exercise. I’m going to give you ten days, but more importantly, I am going to give myself ten days and more!
3/20 – 187.2 – Alright. So…a loss is a loss is a loss. I know most of it is just “getting rid” of the junk I had in my system from this weekend, but I’m okay with that! I’ll take it and wear a smile all day because of it. I couldn’t exercise yesterday, but I did stay within my calorie count. My daughter got into a fender bender this morning and my son has a double header today, so I doubt I’ll get a chance to workout today, but I am going to make good food choices. I am also going to start researching a KETO diet to see if it would work with my already crazy gastroparesis dietary restrictions. I know nothing about it, but I have heard some rave reviews from everyone who has done it, including @quiltingjane success here.

@SheilaBoneham Good morning to you and beautiful Lily!
@brightresolve I seem to be in a funk myself. I barely manage to get out of my chair much less do a workout! Trips to refill my water glass and go to the bathroom are the majority of my steps. We’ll get through this together!
@mariec1978 I love Keto but have to read about your disorder. Research, research, research. The Obesity Code by Jason Fung, MD, is extremely informative about many weight loss plans and what works long term and what doesn’t.8 -
@NasiiM3 I have learned that it can take 2 or 3 days for what and how I ate to be reflected on the scale.6

Starting Weight: 135 lbs
Goal Weight: 115 lbs - Met in late 2017
I met my goal weight in late 2017. My new goal now is to stay around 115 average. Lately I've been ranging around 109-111 lbs. Since switching to a whole food plant based diet, I can't seem to stop losing weight, despite reintroducing alcohol into my diet. It's about the seemingly unimportant decisions. But consistently making them everyday is what leads to success.
Goal This Round: Maintain 115 lbs Average
3/19 • 109 • Ran 3.5 miles & lifted weights. 1750 cal. 3 glasses of wine.
3/20 • 110 • Ran 3.5 miles & lifted weights. 1400 cal.
