Our family joke is that we're half-Irish, half-Scottish and half-crazy ergo larger than life!
Happy St Patrick's Day to you as well, @positivepowers!!1 -
It looks like Calvin really gets the territorial thing... and Hobbes seems to enjoy testing boundaries... lol

I can't imagine Calvin being stealthy enough to sneak up on Hobbes...

Calvin's side should be smaller... he's a smaller tiger...

Boy, this thread brought back memories. We used to fight over the newspaper (after dad read it, of course) just to read Calvin and Hobbes. I still have all the books, too. I think I'll start again with Revenge of the Babysat Thanks for this!3

If you run through the thread, you'll find many familiar favourites as well as a number of GIFs animated by enthusiastic fans. Enjoy!!1 -

Yeah, but at least it's Spaceman Spiff! Some of Calvin's best imaginary adventures occur to Spaceman Spiff!
ETA: Such as: "Spaceman Spiff is hit! He aims for planet Mok, hoping to find a reputable body shop." I'm not even traveling the unknown universe and I'm trying to find a reputable body shop!2 -

Watterson tried a couple of different variants of a space-travelling adventurer outside of Calvin & Hobbes before he settled on Spaceman Spiff. I wonder what Spaceman Mort looked like?1 -
