Since getting under the magic 140lb I don't feel as focused - guess as my clothes all fit nicely and I do feel so much better in myself - but I do still want to lose a bit more weight and reduce my body fat % (I get a check in at the gym every month!) so need to refocus.
3/19 -143.20lb - same as I was last Monday - but not a surprise as out with friends Saturday, full Sunday roast and wasn't properly focused last week hence my round 35 goal to focus! Food all prepped, water bottle at my side and should make 12k steps today as walk planned for tonight...... Here we go
3/20 - 139.10lb - a 4.1lb "whoosh"! Great food day and plenty of water yesterday, 13k+ steps and feel SSOOOO much better! Whenever I go a bit "off piste" for a few days, I don't feel good for it in myself, my energy levels drop - makes me wonder why we ever do it and why it seems such a good idea at the time - guess this is the age old question eh ? Food prepped for tdoay, water bottle at my side and gym PT session tonight
3/21 - 138.40lb - down 0.70lb and still in the right direction Unexpectedly out for dinner with a friend tonight but already planned what I'll have so I will only be 150 calories over for the day. Will be carb heavier than my normal meals (its Pizza - albeit it a Pizza Express Leggera pizza!) but it shouldn't leave too much damage. Will have plenty of water today and hope the scales aren't up tomorrow morning!
3/22 - 138.10lb - down 0.30lb - I DID IT!! Went out for a pizza with a friend, stuck totally to my plan and still managed to record a loss today. This must be a turning point!!! All should be good today and tomorrow but next hurdle is the weekend - in London with my daughter on Saturday so we'll eat out and then the usual weekend distractions and the Sunday roast .........Hanging in there .....
3/23 - 138lb - only 0.1lb down but carb heavier (within calories) dinner last night than usual (home made burgers) and a tough weights session at the gym so all good ....

3/26 - 140.70lb. In London Saturday and ate at a Brazilian rodizio BBQ restaurant so a total meat overdose. Sunday roast yesterday evening too although did get out for a short 12mile cycle yesterday - first one in ages! Probably not enough water either..... Weekends are never my friend - need to get to grips with it! And now going to be away in a hotel from Thursday night for 10nights - hubby working away and close to where the girls cheerleading comp is at the weekend so staying up there with him and for the next week too as kids are off school for Easter. So a week of eating out and no scales either - what could possibly go wrong eh ?? Going to be a challenge but one I am going to accept! Still a couple of days left of this round to make a difference too.

3/19 - 248.8/ It was an eventful week, to say the least. My eating game was not up to standards, nevertheless, I started this week on a good foot and looking forward to whats to come!
3/20 - 250.0 (+1.2)/ In all honesty, I knew this would happen, and I think this might be the case for tomorrow. I haven't been eating well since last Thursday. But tomorrow is a new day. I plan to workout tomorrow before work. I'm ready to forgive myself and change the direction.

3/19 276.9 Not starting off great but all good I know it's water walked a lot yesterday and was under calorie goal
3/20 275.1 Love it when the water weight goes away changed my exercise this week instead of 3 cardio / 2 strength reversing them as would like more muscle definition so 3 days of lifting with light cardio and 2 days of heavy cardio see how that route works.
3/21 275.4 A tad up but still happy got a day of lifting and some cardio if I can get to the gym got 2 inch snow already and still coming down but roads look clear
3/22 275.7 moved wrong direction but actually went over calories yesterday not by a lot but first time in a long time be nice if weather would decide between winter and spring so can go hiking more. Going to do cardio day at gym did get measured yesterday at dr and gained 3 inch on my chest so lifting weights does work.

Nothing works unless you have a sustained calorie deficit over time. Anything will work if you have a sustained calorie deficit over time.
Motivation is overrated. What you need is education, willingness to eat less, a good plan, and discipline to stick to it.
According to John Walker's The Hacker's Diet which is an interesting perspective on "diet" page 54 you take in 13.5 lbs of food/water/oxygen a day but depending on how efficient everything processes we don't operate on a perfect 24 hour cycle to use all that so you get those fluctuations. I think that is semi comforting to keep in mind we are not robots and CICO doesn't operate at perfect 24 hour scale either.7 -

3/19: 114.4kg/252.2lbs - Overall a small loss for me last round, but I'm excited to push on and hopefully shake a few more lbs. This is week 3/32 for my marathon training, so I'll be going for a run after the gym tonight, enjoying it all so far and hopefully it will all contribute to my weight loss journey!
3/20: 113.5kg/250.2lbs – Now, this happened last round and then it shot back up the following day. I’m still eating well and exercising hard and I’m excited to push on and drop some more this round. Thanks for the support as always
3/21: 112.8kg/248.7lbs – How on earth?! I must have been holding on to some water weight here! Today is my rest day and calves are feeling very tight – will probably get them on the foam roller tonight. Food is going extremely well, I would even go as far as saying I have created some habits which are enabling me to do so well. Also… I’m now under 250lbs!! WOOOO. Time to push on and keep this down.
3/22: 113.5kg/250.2lbs – Eurrrgh why did I think yesterday was correct. Feeling a bit low today, need to harvest some energy from somewhere.
3/23: 131.1kg/249.3lbs – Step in the right direction, now to build on this! Gym today after work and running 10km tomorrow morning!
3/24: 131.3kg/249.8lbs – Can’t really complain, managed a 7mile run and probably could have done more but I’m sticking to my programme!
3/25: 131.3kg/249.8lbs – Spent far too much money on some running shoes after getting a Gait Analysis done, hopefully will offer more support and prevent injury.
3/26: 131.4kg/250.0lbs – I’m happy with this, I had a few beers over the weekend and ate out a couple of times, let’s see is I can push on and lose a bit more weight towards the end of the round.

3/24 = No scales today at my parents’ house, but I was pleased with how I ate yesterday. So far, so good! They are impressed with my weight loss, so perhaps there won’t be as much unintentional sabotage on anyone’s part.
3/25 = No scales again today. I did well eating yesterday and even made time to go to the gym with my 87 year old dad! He hadn’t been in months, but wanted to join me. Mom and I went shopping. She was shocked to see me with my new body in much smaller size clothes. It felt SO good! Dad said, “you must be the thinnest you’ve been in a really long time.” I told him, “I’m the thinnest since 1983—way before children!”
3/26 = 155.4 I LOST WEIGHT at my folks’ house!!!!!!!! This is a huge accomplishment for me!

3/19 -- 197lbs clothed. final weigh in for work challenge. today will be healthy lunch and a victory 1/2 pound burger with ham, bacon, cheese and all the fixings for dinner at my local watering hole. then back to maintenance grind. goal is set to not be over 20% body fat or over 200#.
3/20 -- 197lbs +5lbs? - victory dinner -half pound cheeseburger with bacon, ham, and all the fixings along with fried mushrooms. I paid the price for that dinner. logged 2900 calories for the day witch is the highest in 7 weeks. I actually had hick-ups most of the night. back to maintenance. packed a great 200 calorie lunch and have lots of awesome healthy leftovers ready for dinner.
3/21 - 197 - not bad. I really thought I would be up all week. eat good yesterday morning and had large dinner. but the snacks at class later that night put me slightly over my goal. goal is 1750 calories daily and maintenance is 2700 so I still feel good at 1900
3/22 196lbs - did not plan on a loss considering brats with bun for dinner but I was still around goal calories after having a few cocktails. regularly carbs are high, fats are low, protein is high, sugar is very low
3/23 - 195lbs - really surprised at this. has to be water loss from having a few mix drinks! ( "A few" LOL. that was funny)
3/24 - 194lbs - I am going to stick with 1750 calories and see if this is just a fluke.
3/25 - 194lbs - party tonight with friends. I am sure the drinking and eating will be out of control so I have eaten super light for the past 24 hours. tomorrow my wife wants to eat exactly what I do. I have everything for each of us all portioned out so there is no temptation to cheat.
3/26 - 197lbs -- weekend of home cooking, dinner parties, bloody mary sunday, -- hummm a hangover weighs exactly 3 pounds.

Back again! Hello everyone!! My motto this week is "write it before you bite it" as I haven't been super consistent logging my food lately.

Original GW - 145 - Smashed this in October 2017 and maintained around 143 until the winter blahs and my crazy freelance schedule got the better of me and I put a few back on.
New GW - 140 - really want to work on getting another 5-7 off from where I am now and committing to fitness so I can participate in some adventures with my boys over the summer...no more watching from the sidelines!!
3/18 - 147 - coming in from round 34
3/19 - 147.4 - weekend aftermath...blaming it on the beer. We were super active so I can only hope some of this is also muscle recovery as well.
3/20 - 146.4 - One year ago today....I started tracking my food and weight everyday with the intention of losing 20lbs before a big family vacation and then to keep going to lose a bit more before the summer. I've gone from barely squeezing into size 12 pants and covering my top with flowy XL shirts to not event hesitating to go to the size 8's and smalls and even bought a pair of size 6 jeans last week. I'm participating in sports and activities with my active kids instead of watching from the sidlines!! I'm very proud of myself...it's hasn't all been down...but I didn't let the upswings derail me. Weighing and checking in here everyday has made me very mindful of how my choices affect the scale and what those trends really mean in the long run. I still have some goals to achieve but if this chocolate/craft beer/wine loving mama can do it so can anyone!!

3/20 182.2 a bit better, but still stupidly high. Decided to do IF (5/2) for two days a week and see if that helps get me back on track with my habits. Our Spring break is in 10 days and I can't afford to buy new pants, lol.
3/21 178.8 I did my low cal day yesterday so I was expecting a good drop. That's almost 6 lbs of water weight in 2 days. Pretty crazy. I really think some of this is hormonal fluctuations and not drinking enough water. But today I am writing my plan and sticking to it. 9 days til our trip!
3/22 177.8 so not bad, feeling a bit more like myself. That was probably the end of the water weight so maybe a real loss in the next few days. Low cal day again today, have my meals planned out and sticking to the plan. Lots of water today. We are having a cold snap, so I'm drinking it hot with lemon.
3/23 177.0 my low cal day yesterday went well, food tastes amazing when you are truly hungry, lol. today, just watching my portions and planning on a glass of wine tonight.
3/24 179.2 grrr apparently the scale is very bouncy when you do a 5/2 way of eating. I guess it makes sense because your stomach is more empty volume wise on fasting days? my 5 day average is the same as last round, so I guess the high weight isn't sticking around at least. I hope to see a drop for the next few days!
3/25 180.2 haha this round is really ridiculous. I just don't even know what to think anymore and neither does my scale. I guess I could blame this on TOM rapidly approaching? only a few more days till my trip!
3/26 180.8 had a wine and Proyo movie date with my husband last night which bumped me over my calories a bit. Back on track today. On the + side my trend tracker is showing a downward trend again so that makes me feel I'm headed in the right direction, despite this stupid # on the scale.

3/19: 233. Surprised at this number given this weekends’ indulgences but hopeful I stay on track. I was off work today so got a work out in the AM and met up my friend for matcha ice cream. I meal prepped for the week and had a big dinner tonight so washing it all down with lots of water. Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
3/20: 234.4 A bit up but yesterday I had very little to eat all day and came home starving. I meal prepped and ended up having a larger portion than I wanted to (oops). Got in an hour of activity though so that is definitely a plus. Today I focusing on drinking a lot of water and staying within my calories. That's it. Sounds so easy, right?
3/21: 233.2 Yesterday I got in a quick walk and an hour of Zumba and burned almost 800 calories. However I ate 2,000 calories and still a drop this morning! It almost doesn't seem right. I will take it. Drank 120 oz of water today so that was a plus also. It's snowing where I live so not very motivated to work out. I have chili simmering on the stove, yummy
3/22: 233.4 The same, basically. No activity yesterday, got less than 6K steps which is a rarity for me. I have my gym bag with me today so no excuses!
3/23: 233.2 Scale is not moving. Perhaps because I am not really moving? Meaning, I am not making much progress. Though I am still getting an hour of activity each day (yesterday it was cardio kickboxing), I find that I am either drinking or eating back those calories, which is good because I am not gaining but sucks because I want to see a lose! Heading into the weekend and am going to try and be mindful of my caloric intake. Looking into the Volume Eaters thread for some recipe/food inspo, I think this might help...
3/24: 232.8 -skipped a few days in posting but I weighed in!- Woke up pleased with this number as any loss is a positive! Got in an hour of boot camp the day prior (3/23) even though I really did not want to go as I had not been in several months and this class is HARD. The instructor called me out on this mid-class which was semi-embarrassing but I pushed through anyway. On this day I did a light brisk walk for 35 mins and got some more activity in by walking around the city with my friend.
3/25: 233.6 Hmph. Well alright. I blamed this on the late night concoction I made after a night of drinking: I had some steamed rice with beans and melted cheese. Weird but that's what I had on hand. Moving on with the day...
3/26: 235.2 what.the.heck. I have slacked this weekend on tracking/checking in but I was not totally off track. This week I also worked out for 6 out of 7 days a week so this is kind of discouraging. Starting fresh today.

3/20 159.0lbs I ate so much better yesterday than I have this past month so I don't know. I was tempted to snack last night, but I did not.
3/21 156.8lbs lots of running around yesterday with parent teacher conferences and a recital and car trouble. I actually met my step goal. I’m proud of myself for not eating out with all of what happened. I have faith yet again.
3/22 158.2lbs I am eating very clean and stayed active as well as exercised. I havent a clue whats going on with the scale, but Ill keep at it.
3/23 156.0lbs I ate well while I was out which is my goal these days. I exercised as well.
3/24 155.4lbs I ate well and it was a rest day. Goal today to is drink more water.

3/19 - 199.2 - good start after being unable to workout all last challenge that would be why I skipped it. Goal is to drop another 4-5 this round so I can completely kiss the 200’s goodbye!
3/20 - 200.2 not sure I like weighing everyday. This one is frustrating. I haven’t been able to workout for over 10 days and still can’t. I guess I’ll have to cut back on more calories or do a better job drinking more water. Trying to keep my head up. I can do this!!!
3/21- 200.4 I’ve been staying under my calorie count my only challenge is I can’t workout for a couple of more days. This is pretty frustrating. I’m 5 weeks into my new Keto lifestyle and I thought the lbs would come off a bit easier at this point. Ho hum….
3/22- 198.6 - not sure I believe it since I drank last night. Stressful week and still can’t work out due to my ankle issues. I’ve been under in calories everyday. We will see if this holds I have my doubts.
3/23 - 199.0 - not thrilled about this and was not going to post but it helps to write it out. I can only hope that my body is adjusting. My clothes fit better than they have in months so I have to think I am losing more than my scale is letting on. I will keep my macros in check all weekend and keep plugging along. I’d really like to be in the low 190’s by middle of April but that might be a bit of a push.
3/24 - 196.0 yeah right- I have been staying in my macros and been stagnant. Went out with friends last night and had several drinks so not sure how this is possible. I’ll roll with it but not thinking it will stick.
3/25 - not weighing today. Tomorrow is weigh and measurements. Didn’t track a thing yesterday and had two glassss of wine. I’m sure I know what the scale will say. I’ll put the 200’s behind me by the end of this challenge though. Thanks for all the support.
3/26 - 197.0 YES! so this might start to stick. I might get my new shoes next weekend. My reward for 15lbs is a new pair of black boots. I needed to get away from food rewards because that just sends me downhill. Two days to get to 196.0 with no exercise…. we’ll see.
