How to slim down thighs?

Hello, I use the treadmill and I turn my incline all the way up and walk at a moderate pace for a whole 10 minutes then I walk/run/jog regularly during the rest of my workout time. Is this effective in your opinion or would you guys have better suggestions on how to slim my thighs. I'm kinda thick and I don't want my thigh muscles to get bigger I simply wish to trim the fat off of them. Any suggestions?

Liposuction for spot reduction.
You can't spot reduce through diet and exercise.....that's a myth.8 -
Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce fat.. it will come off where it comes off. You can however perform exercises (progressive resistance training) to help maintain the muscle in those areas to give you a more defined appearance as you lose . You won't build very much if any muscle in a deficit so your leg size should go down if you are losing weight.4

Nah, don't really care if I lose all over, I know that's a given. I was just looking for suggestions for leg exercises for your legs and stuff. If I lose in other places too, it's nothing to worry about really.8 -
I got slimmer legs by losing weight/fat from eating in a deficit.7

The point people are trying to make is that no exercises are going to selectively slim your thighs/legs. That's called "spot reduction" and it's not possible. Not through exercise, not through diet, not through supplements.
You lose fat according to your genetic fat distribution pattern. It will come off however your genetics dictate that you lose fat and you can't change that unless you go back in time and choose different ancestors.3 -

I think this is a matter of you guys not understanding what I'm trying to ask, sorry. Next time I need to be clearer. I know about the spot reduction thing, I'm not looking for that, I'm just curious as to what leg exercises there are that help your legs. I don't mean selectively, I just am looking in general.2 -

Help your legs do what?
Just anything, walking, squats, whatever helps.2 -
To help your legs walk, do walking.
To help your legs squat, do squats.
Your question doesn't make any sense. If you're still trying to ask in another way what exercises will help slim down your thighs (which has already been answered multiple times), there aren't any.7 -

Do whatever exercise you like, but make sure you're in a calorie deficit (or doing recomp if you're wanting to lose fat but maintain your weight)0 -

If what you're asking is how do you get great looking legs while you lose fat overall, a strength training program which includes your legs will help with that. Then again, so will running to an extent.1

As I said above.. if you want to maintain the muscle in your legs to give them a more defined appearance as you lose weight (with a calorie deficit), you want to look into progressive resistance training, see this thread:

Yeah, I didn't know how else to ask lol. But thanks all of you for trying to help!2 -
I agree that resistance training is good. Nutrition along with calorie deficit will help you slim down all over. I would like to give you a couple tips when your doing squats and lunges, which are both great leg exercises. However, if your goal is to have more slim looking legs you need to think about your form when executing these exercises. For an example, when doing squats and lunges, use a wider stance (stepping farther apart) that way your focusing more on you glutes and inner thigh muscles. If you don’t use a wide stance your focus is going to be on your quads, which you want to avoid. Good Luck!8

Squat , lunges , burpees , jumping rope , running should actually help also! These all should help if you are also eating a healthy diet !1

A squat thrust, push up, and jump combined into one.0

Its done in steps- look them up. In group fitness classes there's often a audible groan around the group when the trainer mentions burpees. But they are a great all over body workout and yes they are hard.1
