Ok, so I maintained. Which is honestly an accomplishment, with having more than a couple bad days in there. I refilled the fridge and cupboards with fresh healthy stuff (hubby and kids left to their own devices while I was gone and basically there was nothing left when I got home, haha) and reset myself yesterday. These 3 weeks of maintaining are definitely a bummer, BUT- this is a mind game- and I'm working on retraining this grey matter of mine. In the past I might have given up, but something is clicking this time around and I'm finding it way easier to get back on track. Doubt I'll make my initial goal since there's one week left so I'm shooting for 272 next week.6 -
Karen- great job! I know you really wanted to get into the 240's and you made it!
Gabe- great loss this week!!! You are just dropping pounds like crazy since this challenge started- so awesome! You are SOOO close to the 200s, too- keep on keeping on!
Margie- what a great week! Congrats on meeting your goal! I love seeing your little turtle on here- you are always so sweet and encouraging.
Buxbert- Woohoo for compliments! And great job this week!
Barney- Holy smokes you're doing awesome!
Mayve- You inspire me! Thanks again for doing this challenge.
Stewart- the 200's!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!! What a great accomplishment and I know just how good it feels to see a 2 in front instead of a 3. Keep it up!
I think that's everyone who's checked in so far this week- if not, my apologies (and great job- you rock! ) I love this group and have found it instrumental in my successes lately!
For all the new faces- welcome!!! Keep coming back, check in, tell us who you are, how you're doing. Give progress updates, talk about your struggles, talk about your victories! We are all in this together and accountability and support are key components to long term success. I've requested a couple new people- but if I didn't get to you- feel free to request me! I keep an open food diary and am pretty vocal.
Everyone have a superb weekend!6 -
Hi there! I’m just starting on my journey (again) and know that in order to be successful I will need motivation and support. Love the posts I’m seeing in this thread!!5

Slow and steady! I only went to the gym 2 days this week so far, I plan on going today to make it 3. I have a cold or something, so I don't know how well I'll do.
Great Job everyone! Yay to those who met their goal already!4 -
@kbeyer23. Katrina, keep at it. Your breaking through that mental wall. As well by being honest about it, your not regressing like I have so many times in the past. I would say so many times, ah I can start tomorrow. Add up 10, 20, 50, 100 etc... tomorrows and they never really come, but the weight sure came back and with a vengeance.
Good work to @buxbert, @b_lisieux, @moodybear2003,
Welcome @Yennyboops,
Never give up! If you do, you never know what good surprises you might have missed.

Wow, I'm really impressed with how well all the challengers are doing with weight loss and good mental strengthening! That mental part is so crucial to weight loss. That is the part that I am learning about now. The not giving up, not panicking when you have a bad day, week, or month...s like me! Stay the course, do your best and keep in mind that it's a journey, not a trip and nothing can really derail you if you just keep on making the effort! I'm down 5.2 pounds so far this week. I've added carbs like pasta and oatmeal this time so that I don't have the starved idea in my head and my blood sugar is more stable. I've even had ice cream and my addiction (Crunchy Cheetos) and just tried to stay in the calorie goal for the day. I haven't started back walking on a daily basis but I have upped my steps, and increased my water, so I'm happy! The weekend is upon and it's sunny here, so I plan to be out and doing things and that will surely help!
@Yennyboops - Hey girl, you'll love this group, it's so encouraging and inspiring!5 -

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement and positively. Life keeps getting in the way of my goals. I have not figured out a good way to not eat my emotions. I start with good intentions, but then sugar cravings win out.

Mar 09: 271.0 I will be out of town for the next two weeks, but I will eat to plan. I won’t have access to a scale at a predictable time or date, but I am still working my plan and in on this challenge.
Mar 16: 267.0 I am using a borrowed scale and I don’t completely trust it.
Mar 23: 268.0 Still out of town, and spending a lot of time in a hospital. Food and water have been issues, as well as the borrowed scale which reads a different number every time I step on it.
Mar 30: 268.0 My mother is dying. I can’t preplan and prepackage meals now. I’m hoping to just maintain for now.
Apr 06: 265.2 I am writing this on Sunday the 8th. My mother passed yesterday. I did still weigh every day.
Apr 13: 264.0 I am doing my best to log but don’t have internet access where I’m staying. I log in from my dad’s or my brother’s house as I can do so. Hate that my daily login streak broke, but what can I do. Service is tomorrow, and I’ll be here another week after that.
Apr 20: 262.2 I will be home on Sunday. I’m surprised given the circumstances.

Looking to loose 100lbs...
Need something to keep me accountable. Ive lost weight before around 24-30lbs then i got pregnant and the weight piled on. Im now at my heaviest and wanting/needing to do something to get fit before daughter learns to walk so i can run around after her5 -
@ladylara777- Wish I had an answer for eating emotions, for they plaque me as well. The only thing I've found is to just stay the course, doing the best I can and relying on my faith to bring me back around. In spite of your hiccup, you are still on your way down and you're almost 8 pounds lighter! Woohoo!
@DebCountsAll- This is such a difficult time for you, I'm amazed you are even able to do what you do! I'm sending hugs and prayers for you.
@tricx21- Welcome and congrats on the new baby girl. You've found a good spot for encouragement and accountability!

You are all smashing this Spring challenge! I'm gutted I was later in joining But hopefully there's a summer one for me to take part.
Well done guys keep up the good work x5 -
Will you be continuing this challenge through the summer ? I would love to jump in.4

Hey yall. I'm Kristin and I want to get in on this. I need some motivation in my life involving people that know the struggle. My last weigh in I was 220. Highest was 250. Lowest 187. I've been struggling my whole life. I got back on track about 2 weeks ago and I was 227.
I love in a small sc town with one red light and nothing else, so I walk a lot. Just bought a bike today so I'm super stoked about that. My home workout routine is getting boring.9 -
Hello All, I'm Raven and I really need some help staying on track. My husband and I are wanting to take our kids on a Disney vacation next year. The problem is that I can't fit on some of the rides at my current weight which is 316.6lbs. I would very much like to get down into the 240's by June 2019. I chose this weight because I went to Disney with my husband for our anniversary many years ago at about that weight and had no issues with the rides. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. I want to be able to take my kids and be able to ride the rides with them. I have tried weight loss previously and haven't been able to keep with it. Additionally, I feel that if I can reach this goal then my ultimate weight goals will be possible. I really want this for myself and for my kids.15
-
welcome to you ladies, @glammooreghoul and @raven0811. I understand the embarrassment of not fitting on rides. I went to an amusement park with my grands last summer and even though I had lost 50 pounds I still couldn't fit due to the distribution of my weight. It was disappointing and embarrassing. I want you to enjoy your kiddos and your vacay so I'll be pulling for you, Raven!

Thank you! @campfirequeen1 It is nice to know that I am not alone and there are others that understand.4
-
@raven0811 I went to Disney on France last year and a had a few rides that the bars wouldn't close. I know you're feeling. Felt like such a bad mum5
-
I worry about Disney in France too. I rejoined again. I have OVER 100 lbs to loose.
I would like to go on hol next year may 2019 ( last week )and be 200 lbs so would like to loose 112 lbs in 13 months. So my goal is to loose 8 lbs a month-
I've upped my step's - to 6000. I don't exercise other than walk as I have ME/CFS
Xxx7 -
I think I'm gonna make my goal to get 3 lbs off this week. I was also gonna do a step goal for the week but it's supposed to rain every day except Wednesday so walking wont ve happening a lot this week. I am going to Atlanta Wednesday for a show so I will definitely get some steps on.4
-
Lots of new faces here.....welcome! Having goals is a big motivator. Just keep your eye on the prize and you'll succeed. We all have a long road, sometimes it's a bumpy one, sometimes it's smooth sailing, but we are all on the same journey and it's great to have others to share it with on this thread. Once again, welcome!8
-
I have lost and gained the same 30lbs 2-3 times over the last couple of years. Need to lose 100lbs. Traveling for work and then working from home makes it challenging. Does anyone else work from home and have suggestions on how they keep from snacking during the day? I’m trying to have realistic goals and make lifestyle changes to make this the last time with those 30lbs!0
-
Monday: I've lost 1lb, I feel like it's not much at all, but its better than nothing.
Tuesday: I need to make some mini goals to reach, but I'm not sure what.2
