Narcissism and self confident issues

I've known a few narcissists (or borderline ones) in my day, and for a few of them I believe a root of a lot of their issues came from a complete lack of self confidence and worth. They constantly needed others to tell them (or be told about) how awesome they were.
Anytime someone (or something) challenged their sense of self, there was a scrambling to reclaim that lost value. Often it came in the form of tearing others down, or building themselves up.
So... yeah, it's possible. it's also possible she has self confidence issues and is not clinically narcissistic.0 -
Emotional black hole. No matter how much you feed them, they keep coming back for more.
Maybe compliments can’t stick on this personality.0 -
