Wait ! .... seriously, time heals .... you can party, obsess, stalk, rebound etc etc ... but it’s just a mere distraction, years later you can still have an emotional scar .... every day that passes though it gets a little easier ... by all means distract yourself, but ultimately .. it’s a waiting game10

Don't keep a picture of them as your profile pic to start with!16 -
Drink heavily and shut yourself off from the world.
Well, that's how I did it...5 -
@TavistockToad thats not my ex.5

It’s hard and it hurts. But time heals. Eventually it hurts less and less and then the hurting stops. Distractions are good. Surrounding yourself with supportive friends is good. And some people benefit from talk therapy with a professional.4

@TavistockToad if you have any other sarcastic comments we could talk in person.13

takes time.. it does get easier and the heartache less intense. Till oneday you can think of them and not feel sad/angry.4

I find vodka and getting laid really helps. At least it did for me. Also find good people to hang around with.7

Alcohol and promiscuous sex is probably the worst thing that you could do when you are this vulnerable... you might do it anyway. I advise against it.
You should come up with a personal plan... write it out. It's time to get a little bit self centered and focus on you. Eat well and take good care of yourself... Do things that bring you happiness... Spend time with family and friends and LAUGH.
The demise of my last relationship felt much like grieving and it was..., there are stages and things that you are just going to have to go through, things that take time to work out. It's not easy... but in time, you will come out the other side.14 -
Maybe if your pic wasn't you with someone else you wouldn't have an ex.4

What she said....create your own life that does not include the ex....the things that only you like...maybe she didn't like your faux leopard skin smoking jacket and made you throw it out....get another one...day after my break up, I rearranged the house...to the way I wanted, and the way I knew she would hate. It was great therapy.
Also, drink... and don't underestimate the therapeutic values of promiscuous sex (a friend told me to say that...lol)4 -

I guess reading is fundamental.
And internet threats of "we could talk in person" because of sarcasm is childish behaviour. It's possibly an indicator of why they have a problem getting over an ex.6 -

What I do and what you should do... lol. Honestly I replace them. Go out with a friend you have been neglecting. Do something you like to do that you put off because of them. GO ON A DATE.2

It's true. I must not want to be loved. It's actually better than believing I'm unlovable.0

I never have to feel guilty for going out w friends, spending money on myself, watching what I want on tv, hell day drinking if I do feel! It’s empowering to have so much independence
