I use a digital food scale if that is what you mean. I use measuring cups only for liquids.I learned the hard way by using measuring cups how off they are for solids and semi solids to the point I started gaining my weight back. once I started weighing food I started losing again. I mean if you have a lot to lose you may get away with not using a scale. but if you are like me eyeballing a serving is way off using cups.

simkins_mary yes it's like I'm having to force it. I think I'm going to go back to the Weight Watchers method once you feel full just stopped even if I'm not done with all of my calories.

BUT under eating on a regular basis isn't healthy. A larger % of your weight loss will be lean muscle loss. Of course WW encourages fast weight loss.....it makes for good advertising, even though users can end up skinny-fat.

Hunger isn't a good indicator of adequate nutrition. I can eat 5 cups of broccoli and be full until lunch time. Sure broccoli has tons of fiber......but it has precious little protein and dietary fat.
