I would also love to know how the stones picked and chooses who stays and who goes. Me and my friend were talking about how it could be equivalent exchange or picking at people's weaknesses - like how Rocket feels like he's nothing without his team but now he's the only member of his team left
My wife was a mess from Loki til the end
I thought that I would but I didn't cry at any of it. I went in thinking "Loki is gonna die in this one" and then when the ending happened I just knew that it would get reversed so I wasn't upset about it.
But I did feel something when Bucky's last word was "Steve?"
NO. STOP.
It was sad to see Loki break when thor was about to die. And choking. You watched the life leave him and his corpse exploded. He might not come back
I think I just shielded myself from heartbreak so I went in there with zero emotions beyond anxiety
I think Loki is dead dead but I think that most, if not all, of the people who died at the end will come back - at least at first.
Yes i believe that. My buddy was like ' such and such have movies coming out' and i went through all of them and explained how they could do them without those characters
If Sam didn't also poof I might be a bit worried about Bucky because then I might be thinking, "well I guess he'll be the next Captain America" but because they both died I'm doing okay

Haha
I still feel like they wouldn't risk it. Black Panther was a gigantic success and to not have Chadwick back would be ludicrous and after all of the issues with Sony when it comes to Spider Man it's super doubtful that after Homecoming they'd be like, "just kidding, Tom Holland isn't Spider Man anymore" and blah blah. Plus a lot of the actors that died at the end are signed onto multiple-movie contracts so they have to come back in some capacity.
But I do agree that it IS possible what with different versions of various comics floating around.
Tom holland just started filming spiderman, they'll all be back, except the real death people

It's also smart to do it this way because you can put more time in with a smaller cast1

That part killed me as well, and I visibly gasped when Tony was stabbed, like, I couldn't deal with it even though I know that Infinity War isn't a fun time for anyone
Real talk, Tony should have died
He should have. How he is still alive I have no idea
Did they leave Nebula there to be Tony's ride home?
Maybe he'll give her some more upgrades
Now all I can imagine is him giving her the ability to turn into a spaceship and taking him home0 -

It was at random, thanos thought 'half of all life' and the glove did just that! And peter dying was dumb because it was drawn out because it was tony's fault but we would have known that if he had just gone like everyone else0 -

I thought it was random, because when I thought about it then why did both Nick and Marie go? I feel like it was pretty dumb, but also Peter Quill did *kitten* up when they had Thanos, nearly had the glove off and he just lost it. Drax - who has a bit more rage and reason to lose it - kept his cool when dealing Thanos despite his whole deal being that he wanted to kill him from the very beginning0 -

It was drawn out because he had Spidey sense. He knew it was coming and that’s why he was scared.
This has broken my heart even more now. I already cried at his death enough I don't need to cry anymore1 -

That whole time though Dr. Strange did nothing to help them so I just assumed that whatever the one chance is for them to win, Peter needed to freak out and they needed to fail AND Dr. Strange had to just give him the time stone.
Yeah I thought he was going to do something big and it would have helped but he just sat there and watched. That does make some sense when he told Tony there was no other way0 -

Also every movie except for this one that iron man is in, the basic plot is 'iron man gets emotional, does something because he is emotional, deals with the repurcussions' so him being all 'bro chill' to star lord is dumb. Also peter was devastated that he lost the only person besides his mom he'd ever loved, but he should have just shot thanos0 -

Dude has issues.
And Vision had the right idea the whole time...should have killed himself right away. Black Panther should have said oh yeah we are killing this red guy right now.
Not impressed with Dr Strange, either. AND his chubby wizard friend. Dude just leaves for no reason to go do what guard some artifacts?
https://vocaroo.com/i/s0gsLL0MeYC1
Hey man. Yeah, I got that as well. This is the way that Dr Strange found that they win.
However...that just does even more to kill any suspense for an upcoming movie.
In Empire Strikes Back...things are dark, but it's also compelling.
Now...in this, Thanos already settled everything. Nothing has to be done. Everybody is dead, and Thanos is off enjoying his imaginary sunset or however he spends his demi-God time.
In a future movie, there doesn't need to be any character development...and we know exactly how it will go (imo).
Some mish-mash of action where they finally get the glove off of Thanos...somebody will put it on, and then there's your deus-ex-machina ending where everything goes back to being normal.
It would actually be a whole lot cooler if they just said whatever...let's just let everybody stay dead.
Thanos fixed all the problems.
Just kind of a depressing way to fix them.
I did love seeing the battle in Wakanda and see the various superheros function like some kind of military unit I guess. There were definitely good parts. Still disappointed, though.
I'm sure I'll still go see the next one...I see them all lol.
It's Marvel Studios though. They don't typically go for the predictable stuff. It's going to be the end of phase 2 though, and most actors are getting out after the next movie, so there's bound to be some big changes incoming.
I was sad about Loki but was really expecting it, so I supposed it made it a bit easier as I had time to prepare myself. For the others, I was just pretty numb at the end, lol. Still not sure about who's going to come back though... at least for the non 'culling' deaths. The thing that bothered me a bit is that all the main characters from phase 1 survived... not really random... but I suppose that might not be the case next time.
Did not like the part about Gamora. She started laughing when she learned about the price to get the soul stone when it was totally obvious what was going to happen. I guess she really had no clue?
Hulk refusing to come - guessing he didn't like getting his *kitten* kicked by Thanos.
Bucky - there were two after credit scenes about him coming back, and he had absolutely no importance whatsoever in the movie.
Also, makes you wonder about the Asguardians and who's actually still alive even if half of them survived the attack (saw the movie twice and missed the reference twice but I guess they mention it?).
Also, why did Strange bother fighting Thanos so much if he knew that he had to give the stone anyway for that 1% chance of defeating them? To make him believe that he had actually won?
Also Quill is a moron. And still wondering why they chose to leave Hawkeye out.
Still loved it, it just raised a lot of questions.1 -
