Completely inaccurate. The blood type diet idea is completely debunked.28

Totally debunked.12

Complete and utter nonsense.11

Well... I lost 35kg. Part of what I did was limit the amount of meat I ate and replaced that with legumes and milk products because meat tends to not really satisfy my need for volume.
According to the blood type diet I should be focusing very heavily on meats...
Does that mean I only dreamed my 35kg loss?18 -
They're right ^^1

I recall the story of the woman who swore by the blood type diet, lost weight, felt amazing and then found out she had her blood type wrong and should have been eating a completely different way, according to the diet plan.45

Biggest load of bull poop. Well, not quite the biggest, but up there...6

Thanks. I’m actually really glad I asked ☺️☺️19

LOL blood type diets3
-
Wonders what food I was meant to be eating to lose weight. Probably did it all wrong but with great success.1

Oh dear. Just checked and not only did I do it wrong but it looks like my husband and I might need a divorce. Our diets are incompatible when I am high protein and he is meat free.10

In the words of my college bio teacher " blood type diets is utter bull *kitten* and makes no sense"3

My mother in law did it. My wife's comment is that she did all the right things and died.5 -

It makes no sense. Blood types don't have anything to do with diet.
Also, according to that person's theory, my blood type is supposed to be good with dairy (and I am), but lots of people with my blood type (B) are lactose intolerant.
My blood type is also supposed to avoid chicken and I ate lots of chicken when losing weight.2 -
So ridiculous. It is amazing what people can sell. Blood type is nothing more than a simple molecule (antigen) or lack of on the surface of a blood cell. What on earth does that have to do with what you eat?10

I don't even know what my blood type is, so this diet is not for me!4

You should find out though, even if not for the diet.6 -

That means going in to get blood drawn... Mr big shot anesthesiologist (who laughed when i told him to be prepared for struggle) couldn't find one single vein to put a drip in, he had to wheel out an ultrasound machine to find a vein.
30 minutes later and a bunch of exasperated, impatient surgery staff, he finally got it. Nurses at doctors surgeries have ZERO chance of getting blood out of me, been there done that, and I leave full of bruises on my arms and all of my blood still intact lol5 -

You can find out your blood type with a finger prick. Not a lot of blood required.
If you ever get caught in a situation where a vein must be found, drink LOTS of water beforehand.2 -

I think that's where the problem lies... The majority of the blood tests I've had over the years I've had to be fasted for, no food/water beforehand. Prediabetes check, operations etc etc
I am SO sorry to veer this thread so off topic. I'll shut up now!!
Oh OP. as everyone else mentioned, the blood type diet is codswallop!3 -
Ahaha I totally thought that said for your body type2

Exactly my thought, LOL!
So the idea is, don't bother doing "all the right things" because doing so DOESN'T actually make you immortal?
As for the blood type thing, wasn't it something about one's ancestry and percentages of blood types being a majority of certain groups and different groups evolved to eat different things and blah? Sort of like Paleo Gone Eugenic?
I think I tried it with my sister in the 90s...same blood type...she lost 5 lbs. because she liked what we were supposed to eat...I hated it, binged, and gained.
So Now I 'Eat Right 4 Your Food Preferences!" It is amazing...I should write a book. I could use the extra cash.6 -

I’m currently trying to adhere to what they say to avoid and what to lean more towards. I’m type A and since I changed my diet a couple weeks ago I feel better, cut out a lot of meat and my focus seems sharper. I’m still in beginning stages but to me the logic makes sense.20

Sounds like a placebo effect. If you read through this post you’ll find that this diet is woo.16 -
According to mine I should be eating lots of lean meat and avoiding grains, legumes and dairy.. I'm a vegetarian, those are my entire diet + fruit and veg!6

Your blood type is just literally what surface antigen is present on your blood cells...how could it possibly have anything to do with what you should eat. Sounds utterly ridiculous.14
