Fell off the wagon and gained like 6 or 8 lbs. But I didn't fall off the exercise wagon and I've been working out more consistently than I ever have before, which is a NSV. Back to counting my calories. Day 2 complete.23

Today I noticed a box of chocolate covered chocolate donuts sitting on my kitchen counter. My husband decided to treat himself. I stood looking at them for about 10 full seconds, then just walked away. I used to LOVE eating those too. I'm proud of myself for that.39

Great self control!!2 -
Tonight, I ran around my parents’ yard, chasing and/or carrying my great nephew and great nieces. We were all laughing and carrying on. It was a blast. My husband watched from the deck and said he loved watching me play like that. My sister, also on the deck, said that I couldn’t have done that last year. And she was right! I felt like my carefree, happy self tonight for the first time in years! Btw, I’m 53, down 40# from September ‘17 with about 90# to go...45

I work rotating shift work, and tonight was my first night shift since I started on MFP (630pm-0700am). Since 630 pm the only thing I had was 2 cups of coffee, my salad that I packed for dinner, 64ozs of water, and my 28 wasabi almonds. Normally I would snack all night long to stay awake. My first NSV since starting on Monday.33

Finding I’d finally dipped into “healthy” BMI for the first time in my adult life yesterday. 24.9! Whoop!47

I took my Mom out for an early Mother's Day lunch at her favorite restaurant had good time, a great meal, and stayed within calories.24

I just became "overweight" not "obese" and am very excited to celebrate my 50 freakin' pounds lost! It likely sounds silly to be happy to be overweight. But if you have been there you too, no doubt, understand that the overweight milestone can make you feel happy.
I have more to lose but I feel emotionally happy and physically fantastic.53 -
For the first time in years I've been able to wear skirts and dresses without tights in the hot weather and not have chafed thighs at the end of the day! I don't have a thigh gap at all, but there's less contact and I'm not as sweaty as I used to be!34

I had a lot of room left to meet my calorie goal last night, and I felt indulgent, so I got myself a nice big helping of chocolate ice cream - something I used to eat every night, at the same volume.
I got about halfway through before I found it kind of disgusting. I looked at it and thought, "I don't want this." So I threw the rest of my bowl away. (I hate, hate, hate food waste but I knew I just would not be able to finish it.)
I didn't think I'd get to a point where my new way of eating changed the way I wanted to eat. I know CICO works and that I could have eaten that ice cream without any consequences, but I truly would rather have had some fruit or greek yogurt with nuts.
So I guess the NSV is that my new habits are perpetuating themselves without me having to even think about it!28 -
Had a craving for ice cream last night and picked up a mini sized Blizzard at Dairy Queen. The old me could easily have eaten a large one but the mini was perfect15

Big transformation.
I did that a 6 months ago. They even asked for a second season ID. My husband had also lost weight and the clerk asked to if she could live at our house.18 -
my wife picked up a thin crust frozen pizza for lunch today and I had one quarter of it instead of the half I normally would. So what would have been an almost 600 calorie lunch became a 270 calorie lunch and I feel perfectly full and not hungry. I know it's still not healthy, pizza, but I've been really focusing on moderation, which has always been my biggest issue. I feel like I'm finally learning how to say no to too much food!25

Got another one today Those clothes I bought a few days ago? Well one was a tank top that was a large when I tried it on but too big so I grabbed what I thought was a medium off rack (hanger said medium). I guess I didn't bother to check the tag because, while I was wearing it today, I was telling my husband I wished I had gotten a size small because the fit was a little baggy. He checked the tag and it's an extra-small!!! I'm not an xs size, the fit is meant to be loose but it was a nice surprise.19

That's awesome! It's amazing how much we eat because we're used to it, not because we're actually hungry. I'm the same way... between me and my husband we could polish off a whole pizza. Now I stick with 2 slices and veggies and it's fine!8 -

Oh my God you just opened my eyes to a new one for me too. I have been wearing shorts a lot more now and never realized my thighs aren't rubbing together causing discomfort!! High 5 to us and our smaller legs.21 -
I picked a basic stretchy t-shirt from my closet, put it on and realized it was the one that used to feel like a sausage casing. Sure, the shirt could have just lost it’s shape in the laundry, but I’m definitely going with me being a smaller sausage rather than the casing being bigger.25

Friendship ended with scale. Measuring tape is my new best friend.
In all seriousness, the scale showed 2 lbs gained since last Sunday even though I have been measuring every single bite to the gram and working out like crazy. Lots of bodyweight, kettlebells, cardio, etc.
I got super discouraged before I remembered to measure myself.
Since last week, I lost one inch from my waist, one inch from my hips, one inch from my thighs, and (grumble) one inch from my bust!
Not so cool about the bust thing, but we can't be too picky in this life.

I bought shorts for the first time since high school! I’ve been self conscious about my legs for years—I finally feel comfortable enough to say f it, I will wear these shorts despite the veins bc I am actually seeing some muscle in there!

Fitting into a pair of jeans I haven't worn in about 8 years, and dropping out of the obese category in my BMI!36

I hit my "goal" sometime last week; I've been setting it for 10% of my current weight each time, since doctors always say losing that is very beneficial to your health. So now I've lost 10% of my body weight ... TWICE! And that long-term goal that once seemed so far away is inching closer ...
Also, my BMI has dropped in the 40s! When I started my journey, it was in the 60s.34 -
26 clean pull-ups/chin-ups (not consecutively, but still!)17

I bought a new bathing suit. Just a black one-piece but it's my first new suit in so many years I can't remember. For years I've gotten board shorts and tank tops in thrift stores because I couldn't fathom even standing in the bathing suit section of a department store, let alone trying one on.30
