Three different songs with this title, by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Huey Lewis and Jennifer Rush, were in the charts in the same year, 1985.

I may have to give more clues. This is a song I recognize instantly, but I don't think they have many hits and the band name I wouldn't recognize immediately.

    Compress / Adam & Eve = [band/song]

3-way Mash-up (see spoiler for definition). I'll provide the 3 artists (in order) and you have to provide the 3 connecting songs.
    Definition:
    Mashup: MA` sh * up: (n)
The would-be song if two artists mashed their titles together
    Example:
Artist: George Gerswin and Elvis =
Song: I can't give you anything but LOVE Me tender
    1. Steven Bishop
    2. Donna Summer
    3. Queen

*lets see how you do before I start dropp'n song hints
