@mustb60, good luck with IF! I love it. It has always been my natural way of eating since my teen years. As a I got older, I got caught up in the 3 meals a day, but never the 3 meals, 2 snacks or 6 small meals.
@quiltingjaine, Lol, I know what you mean. Sometimes I think, too long, especially when I know exactly what DH is going to say and his reaction to my advice.

@rparkerslim those carbs are causing your body to send out insulin and then when the rush is over you experience a crash and cravings. Over the long haul this creates insulin resistance and eventually diabetes in many people. There are no essential carbohydrates as our body can convert protein into glucose if your brain needs fuel. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance about 30 years ago and placed on a very strict diet. Wish I had stayed on that, and not regained what I lost plus some. I love Keto and have no cravings now. My knees also no longer hurt which is a benefit that I was not expecting!4

5/18 138.5 Well not surprised. Yesterday was our 48th wedding anniversary and my 10 month Ketoversary. Down 30# We attended a dinner party last night and there was sugar in everything - at least that was the way it felt/tasted. My ketones are low (0.5) but still present.
5/19 138.5 Lovely grilled dinner at Red Lobster. Ate my little lobster tail, a few shrimp, and two bites of salmon. Also salad with blue cheese dressing and 3/4 of a cheddar biscuit. Those biscuits no longer taste good to me. Strawberries and whipped cream for dessert when we got home. Breakfast with lady friends at 8 AM today. Have I mentioned lately that I am not a breakfast person? (I would have used a puke face, if they had one!) I ate about 1/4 of my omelet (around 9:45) which was relatively tasteless in spite of Monterrey Jack cheese and lots of green chilies.5 -

05/18--178.8 I woke up feeling 'puffy' and groggy today, and I have a headache. The scale reflects how I feel. Not a great start to this round but I'll try to make up for it this weekend.
05/19--TOM snuck up on me, so I'm avoiding the scale for a few days! That explains how I felt yesterday. Went to Pilates this morning and tracking my calories; I tend to want to binge eat this time of the month so I have to be extra vigilant. Was going to get some landscaping done but it's too cold outside today--hopefully tomorrow!

I don't know why, but I am starving! I had a good breakfast and a good salad for lunch, but I'm still hungry. I am drinking water and tea to try not to eat. I ate half a Krispy Kreme doughnut and some French fries leftover from a happy meal. I took a long walk this morning, and I plan to go to the community center later and walk on the treadmill since it's raining here in Hopewell. Fight on soldiers; don't give up the journey!!!!

We are babysitting my niece's 2 year old identical twin girls, and my son got me up early to cook them some breakfast! Hard to stay on track with these two around! But I am really enjoying them!6 -

@rparkerslim, What a joy! A lot of fun and a lot of work for you today. I know you are worn out. I kept 3 of my grands (not all at once!, but a span of 7 years) every day until they went to daycare. All 4 sometimes visit us at the same time though. Ages 8, 4, 22 months and 18 months. They are ALWAYS constantly hungry!5 -

5/18: 501.0- Upset with myself. Already today is off to a bad start. But on Saturday I’m starting to crack down and hopefully do a lot better.

5/18: 170.2; Went over my calorie goal with high carb foods but did try to make smart choices throughout the day and drank lots of water. Glad I didn’t gain.
5/19 169.4; drank lots of water yesterday but went over my calories with high carb food and beer (yay Friday) I had a little more self control than last weekend though!
5/20 170.6; I went to Zumba yesterday morning! I also ate a big sandwich for lunch and chipotle with chips for dinner and didn’t even get 64oz of water in. I need to do better on the weekends food wise.
