Airport TSA security guy asks me if I’m the same person in my photo ID. Because of my weight loss. Put a smile on my face.26

Fit into a pair of slacks that I have not been able to get over my hips for 3 years. Can zip the waistbands of my skirts all the way up and my belts fit again. Transitioned from diet soda and heavily Splenda sweetened tea to water with lemon or lime. Eating fruit without adding stevia or Splenda. Coffee is still a work in progress--off of the Torani Splenda sweetened flavoring syrup, using more milk than cream, and using 2 tsps. of real sugar instead of artificial stuff. Plan is to gradually reduce the amount of sugar to zero but taking it slowly. And finally, I quit snacking between meals altogether. I have 20 lbs. to go, so it is nice to see incremental change as I go.25

Didn't log any food for two weeks and still lost 2 lbs. I have learned how much and what to eat27

My mother in law found an old suit of mine way back in a closet, and it's three whole dress sizes too big for me now!20

I'm worried that he just took your word for it lol Great stuff though7 -
I did a Camp Gladiator workout and didn’t die!
I probably won’t sign up yet, since I live in Texas and it’s already nearing 100 outside (and going to get worse as we get deeper into the summer), but, by the end of the summer, I’ll have lost more weight, and it won’t be so hard on my wrists and knees.11 -

The bad part of this is that I can't always fit into 10s (maybe 2/3 of the time) and some Medium stuff is cut wrong for me (too short, too tight in bust). But I still feel like this is a NSV for me in the long run and it's motivating me to step it up a little bit more and hopefully fit into the majority of the smaller size down.
And honestly it's always an NSV because for most of my adult life I wore 22/24 and larger.
Go hit the juniors stores. I've recently noticed a lot of tops are designed very loose around the bust line, then are ribbed or cut narrow around the waist. Losing weight = a whole new dynamic in knowing what styles fit your body.9 -
I have a spine. My daughter's friend took a picture of her & I working on a project. I was facing away from the camera and my shirt came up.... There's a spine, I can see the bones when I was seating bent over.18

I’m really enjoying the perks of weight loss. I’m at the mall shopping and this young man walks up to me to ask me on a date. He looked so young! I asked him how old he was and how old did he think I was? He responded that he is 25 y/o and he thought I was 27y/o. He was shocked when I told him I was 35! I told him I was old enough to be his mother24

Hello all! I have come back to MFP after a long hiatus. I have been in and out of fitness and healthy eating, and have been having some really big life changes that I have been focused on. But, my life has calmed down considerably and now I can focus on myself! So, I guess my NSV is coming back to a healthy, balanced mindset! Reading all your NSVs is so encouraging and always a great place to start!!15

Thank you for the idea, but that won't really work for me with tops. I find a lot of juniors tops are too short (I'm 5'8" with very long torso). I always check out juniors stuff though and have great sweaters and jeans from that section as well as a few dresses.
And I do agree about losing weight giving you a whole new set of parameters for shopping, though! I definitely have experienced that. I liken it to a second adolescence in a way, feeling awkward in your own skin again and not being sure of what works.7 -
I went to Chick-fil-a for lunch and ordered the 8 pk grilled chicken nuggets, a fruit cup, and a bottled water. If this had been a month ago, I would've ordered their regular chicken sandwich, a large waffle fry, and large Coke or frosted lemonade. I'm proud of myself for going with the healthier options.21

The superfood side (small) is pretty good too if you have room in your food plan.6 -

I'm 5'7". There are a lot of "long" tops, meant to fit at the bottom of the butt for 5'2" ladies. Juniors is usually crop or long, not too much in the middle though.
If kinda exciting, sometimes overwhelming, when you can shop at 99% of clothing stores.7 -
Last Thursday, I did a workout that left me sore for 4 days- my butt and legs were wiped out! I put the workout back in my rotation yesterday and I'm only about half as sore and it should easy up pretty fast21

I am obsessed with Chick-Fil-A's grilled chicken market salad- YUM. Especially with half a packet of apple cider vinaigrette. Now I'm hungry.4 -
I ran for 2hrs24mins. Covered 12.39 miles and am feeling much more confident about my half marathon in July.
More confident in general too. Applied for a new job, got my hair cut shorter than ever before.
After the run today I was totally strutting round the supermarket wanting to tell complete strangers what I had just done! (I didn't....cos that'd be weird lol)
Got in from run, stretched and then washed up and mowed the lawn! Now my hips, knees and feet are a tad achey but nothing serious. Very happy!!35 -

I was thinking the exact same thing as I was reading this post. The market salad is the best!2 -

This made me laugh because it was my order at CFA like 4 years ago and I have not been back since (and will not).
Don't get me wrong, it's a great NSV!
But when I realized that cost almost $11 for that meal, I never went back.

I saw that but I'm deathly allergic to nuts, so I had to go with the fruit. ;-)-2 -

Holy Crap! That’s amazing!! Love your confidence and your spunk! No wonder you’re so happy. You have every right to celebrate. Btw, I wish I had been in the store. I would have jumped for joy with you! (Weird or not. LOL)13 -
For the first time in years, I was able to buy leggings in a large. No more XL for me!27

The nuts come is a separate package. I believe you can simply not add them. Ask them to bring you one to examine before you choose should you want to try.

My powerlifting meet went amazing! PRed all my lifts. 242.5 lbs (110 kgs) on squat. 170.9 lbs (77.5 kgs) on bench (no video). And broke state record with my deadlift, 385.8 lbs (180 kgs)! And I qualified for Nationals in October.

On a cruise this week, I rode the Skyride into the wind. It’s a frame hanging from a track and you pedal around the outside of the ship, way up in the air. The wind blew me backwards (pedals going backwards). I refused to think they might have to haul me back to base, dug in and pedaled to the end. I can’t believe I could do it.24

Happy to have had a few NSVs over the last week or so...
- Fit into a pair of 14 jeans that I was sure would be another month before I could wear them. (down from an 18)
- Bought a bike and have actually ridden it each day since. (even if my legs are jello after only 10 mins, I'll get there)
- Took my son to iHop this morning with every intention of having an 'over' day. Ate exactly what I wanted this morning at late breakfast, then what I wanted at dinner. Still have 400+ calories left for the day.
- Went from being winded walking 0.2 miles to the mail box (about a month ago) to my first 2.5 mile walk last night without a break.

Last weekend I beat my parkrun pb by 2 minutes and this weekend I climb Snowdon My legs feel rubbish this morning but I'm so happy that we made it to the top25

Ran my longest run today. 4.8 miles. Working my way up to that 10k. A year ago I couldn't run 1 full minute. Feeling pretty good about myself.26
