Enjoyed a nice early morning solo ride in northwest Ct and western Mass today. Knocked out 66 miles, most of it following a beautiful trout stream. Nice steady climb on the way out, then downslope payoff on the way home. (Certainly nothing like the challenging climbs I see posted here! lol)
Next weeks' volume may be slightly less as I taper a bit before a June 3rd 70.3 distance triathlon.

Bad day of racing at the track today. The crash from last week made me very nervous and I couldn't attack and the extensive bruising made it harder. Didn't score a single point and fell down to 3rd in the rankings.0 -
Really good month so far, with 5 hundred mile days. Over 1200 miles for the month and will hit my goal of 70 hours today.
Have a 200 mile ride set up for Sunday, going to be 93 degrees so we are starting at 4AM. This is the end of my last big push miles wise to get ready for my 24 hour race June 16-17.
Starting my taper 3 weeks out this year. Last did a two week taper, going to try a little longer one this year.

The wife and I are starting our training for a century in Sept (she's done one a few years ago, I haven't ridden anything longer than 85 miles yet).

I'm so happy I found this thread. Since my recent (April 2nd) knee surgery, it's put running on the back burner for me. I've discovered the bike and I'm thrilled. Can't wait to participate!0

Really happy with this ride as it was just me and one other guy all day and the last 3-4 hours it was over 90 degrees. We average 22 for 170...then the wheels came off...badly...

This evening on the KATY trail it was about 82F, light breeze, and there were only 4 cars in the parking lot. I normally have to ride 45 minutes away to get this sort of isolation...but this evening, the trail was mine.

Man, I'm loving having this road/gravel bike. My heart is all about mountain biking but it's nice to just hop on the bike from my house and go for a quick ride. I had no idea there were so many multipurpose trails near me. I started climbing up this big hill by my house following a couple real road bikers and I totally kept up with them. Feeling pretty happy with myself
Might get out tonight for a mini skills session with a group. I hope the rain holds off!0
