Two days rest after my century meant legs felt fresh so headed for my local hills.
These are two different climbs up to the same summit.
Staple Lane is a test of your determination as it starts out steep then flattens out and you have to fight the impulse to recover 1.5 miles with 4% average and max of 13% - hit a PR today. At this rate of progress I might aspire to be an average climber by the time I'm 60!

Combe Lane is just a test of lungs and legs, just under a mile with 7% average but an evil 20% sting in the tail right at the end. Got a 2nd best.

I only use a power meter for indoor training and don't have them on my outdoor bikes but Strava estimated 4 watts (!!!) flying down Combe Lane including the 20% section heading for a hairpin while wishing I was on my disc braked bike....
Strava estimated 200 watts climbing both hills.

Probably not a bad estimate as "feels like" and HR are similar to 200w on the Wattbike.

50 miles per week...so for May about 250 miles. I'm on target. I'll probably exceed it by a bit because I forgot I was doing a fun little 1/4 century up in Santa Fe on the 20th.

Well today was my first time trying TT bars ever. Wasn't as scary as I'd thought so I'm very relieved. Bids well for my future TT endeavours.

And tonight was also my first win on the track. I won the points race in the ladies category, which is a long race with sprints at regular intervals. Can't believe it quite yet

    Bummer, hope you are ok.

I so hate crashing....heal up quickly and keep racing seems like you are making solid gains on the track

    Thanks guys !
I'll be fine. Got 4 stitches on the right elbow, and all my right leg is skinned, but the X-ray is clear, nothing on the head or face so it's all good. And of course the bike is okay XD
10 days before the stitches are out so I guess I'll be back zwifting for a bit. :)

Two rides yesterday. 51 in the AM on the TT bike. Super fast at 22mph.

Then in the afternoon rode to my wife’s work which gave me a nice tailwind. Added some big hills to make it harder. Super fun ride.

Wasn't to bad on the trainer. Amazingly it was probably the least pain I had in the whole day XD

Did the workout in the D category and had to constantly rein myself in. Will try C next time.

North Downs Sportive for me today (the North Downs are a ridge of hills in southeast England), just over 70 miles and 4724' of climbing. Beautiful countryside and discovered a whole load of nice new roads. The last bit was pure evil though - three major climbs in the last 15 miles. Including a tough three mile climb to the highest point in Surrey, an almost half mile 17% gradient and just before the finish a 20% gradient hill.
Funny enough I struggled on the more flat middle section with my back and neck hurting, a blinding headache and got a little dehydrated. But felt good for the beginning and end sections.

Impressed by the organisation (Evans Cycles) so will try to do a few more of their events but in different parts of the country to explore new areas.
