That's great!!!! And almost $700 - or a mini vacation.16 -
I just ran for my train. Well, I moved my arms and legs faster than normal and it was downhill but still, after years of avoiding running I made an attempt.
My too loose trousers were falling down too so two in 1.43 -

THAT'S THE BEST!!! Well done!!8 -
I had to buy smaller bras, underwear, and all my wedding bands resized two smaller sizes!!!23

Staying on minimum calories for the past few days (except today; I went about 34 over) while I'm on bedrest for endo.22

I noticed a bit of definition to my upper arms yesterday in the shower!19

Ran a full 10k! My first! 1:19:30. Not fast, but I ran the entire time.36

bought a dress at Target and it is size medium!!! I caught the ball and got the last out for our kick ball team. We lost the game but i was so proud of myself!!!!22

Life happened. Before, a break from my schedule would just completely throw off all of my positive habits. This time, I just kept it up. I'm really proud of myself.
I feel like it's more of a mental health victory for me than a fitness victory but they do go hand in hand!19 -
Chatted with our next door neighbor & she told me I was melting away. Hubby said later "You realize she called you a witch, right?" Funny hubby. Anyway, neighbor asked me how & I plugged MFP & the wonderful, supportive community I've discovered. Thanks folks ~ you are my inspiration!30

My son has started joining me at the gym. Says he wants to powerlift, like his mom.45

This is a huge accomplishment ! Well done9 -
Another belt notch inward. Current pants are approaching that "too big" bunch-up at the waist. Still waiting for the big moment when I can go to the next lower size jeans--jeans provide the true measure of your progress.20

I now have a prominent Adam's apple. I didn't even realize until looking in the mirror today. I could always see it (barely at my heaviest), but it's very pronounced now.16

@Leslierussell4134 Thank you. I'm kinda proud of it. A year ago I couldn't run for a full minute. I slowly did C25k which got me started. Ran my first 5k on 3/31/18. My new goal was a 10k after I turn 60 this fall. Now I'm thinking 15k for my 60th.13

I haven’t lost any pounds since April 1st, just losing and gaining the same 2 pounds, but somehow all my coworkers swear I’m disappearing. I have a coworker who is very small and petite( 5ft and 115lb ish) . She thinks I’m getting closer to her size. I’m 5’2” 138lb. Anyway everyone else is seeing changes that I don’t see with my weight loss stalling.I measure the same 3- 4 body parts ( hip, waist, bust, sometimes arms), I guess I must be losing inches in other areas that is noticeable to others. I was hoping I would’ve lost enough weight to achieve a normal BMI by end of June but I doubt that’s going to happen. Nonetheless I’ve successfully lost 37lbs and kept it off so far, so that’s still worthy of a celebration. I’m not going to be greedy, even if I lose weight at a rate of 0.25lb a month, it’s still a lose and definitely better than gaining.30

Woot!3 -
Had two happen today!
1- I decided to try on those jeans in the back of my closet that when I started this wouldn’t even go up my thighs (literally with zipper undone they would get stuck at mid thigh) today I had them all the way up and buttoned!! Still too tight but it’s close!
2- my hair dresser said I looked great and “where did you go?”22 -
All of my underwear is falling off my butt!21

This is my best one in a long time...bear with me because there's a bit of background. I used to help out at my family's store around 2003-2005. I was 26-28 at the time but had a very short pixie haircut and was right around 270-280 lb. I usually wore a uniform of baggy (men's XXL) polo shirt with the business logo and capris or whatever. I wasn't quite that frumpy in my everyday life but working in the store, I was helping out with busy season & I was not really at my best.
Last week I was at Sam's Club with my dad, and he said hi to a lady passing by. I thought nothing of it because my dad knows a lot of people in this smallish city. Apparently he saw this same lady again this morning and she said to him, "I saw you with your granddaughter! She looks JUST like her mom!" And my dad was confused because he doesn't have a granddaughter and he said "Oh that was my daughter" and the lady said "Oh, I thought she was the daughter of (My Name) who worked in the store with you sometimes, I guess they just look A LOT alike!" and my dad told her no, that's the same daughter, she's just lost weight and changed quite a bit since then.
She got flustered and embarrassed - but he made her feel better by telling her that I would LOVE this story, that she thought I was this younger person. He's right!!66 -
What do you do when your FitBit has reached the last possible hole? Hope I don't lose more weight in my forearm/wrist? Build more muscle there? I am about ready to move to the last hole! I guess I could buy a smaller strap.
So there you have it... my most recent NSV25 -
Haha, yes! I’m not even risking a dress until I buy more. I had to hike a pair of hipster boy legs to what felt like my armpits today14 -
Sliding shorts (even with the drawstring pulled tight!) on the treadmill today.24

Not sure what NSV stands for, but I think this fits...
I've read through this thread hoping someone would ask. Now if someone will just answer.
NSV stands for Non-Scale Victory. Some improvement you have seen or a goal you have reached, regardless of what the number on the scale says.5 -
Having to ask “do you do any smaller sizes?” In a fancy posh clothes shop with snotty 15 year old staff.25

LOL.... So basically you can wear them as a romper now (the horrible picture of the Borat Mankini comes to mind). My advice as I went through the same thing, twice now: if you're still losing, buy the cheapo multi-pack of granny pannies in your current size. No sense in spending a lot on something you're just going to shrink out of.11 -

Buy a smaller band. I had to beg a watch manufacturer to install a wide women's band on my favorite watch (it's a men's watch) as my wrists shrank a lot. It was a bday gift and a Tag Heuer, so I didn't want to get rid of it.9 -
So many NSV's in the past week or so...today I had to drill a new hole in my belt. It's about 4.5 inches from the last one I drilled. I'm down two pants sizes. I've caught a total of 3 ladies looking at me...not just like random glances, but the "heyyy" look...I'm starting to look a little slimmer, my face has definitely slimmed down. I am doing more difficult counter pushups with ease, I'm walking and mixing in a bit of running with it and not totally dead afterwards, and I just physically feel a lot better.25

-I played a sand volleyball tournament on Friday night in actual volleyball shorts and a tank top. Usually I’d wear running shorts and a tee. A friend took pics and I felt and looked good!
-I ran a mile today to see how fast I could go and did it in 9 min. I’m still bewildered hours later. 80lbs down, 20 to go!32
