@SheilaBoneham and @tiabirdie56 When I went to DGD’s softball games this spring there was no shade and temps of 100+. Too much for me so I only made it through 1/2 of each doubleheader. Sat in the a/c car until DD arrived then said bye bye.2 -

6/17 134.5. Well, that’s what a few carbs too many do to me. 4 tortilla chips and about 3/4” of chimichanga. I scraped the meat and cheese out and left 99% of the flour tortilla.

6/17 – 133.4. Going to head out for a bike ride in a bit…then get organized for the next week/ 10 days. Grocery shopping, meal prep and setting up a productive week…with sleep, workouts and no more than 40 hours of work.
6/18 -133 intermittent fast. I went to the gym with the trainer and did a 40 min run on hills. Drank 56 oz of water..came home and stepped on the scale for grins and it was 131.4..I know that is water fluctuation but I am happy to see that number…Made a big pot of Minestrone last night- used water and not broth to cut down on the Sodium. I am going on vaca on 6/28 and want to be under 130 by then. It will be a very active vacation.

Here again. Company coming the end of this week and then I’m off on a trip a week later. Thought I’d better at least try my best to record every day so as not to have eating totally spiral out of control. Will try to get in at least 2 gym sessions before the company arrives.

I started last round but hurt my back 2 days in and was almost completely stuck to the bed/couch for a week. So I’m starting this again!

@L2HS Your loss will stick. Keep making healthy choices, stay within a caloric deficit 5 - 6 days per week, eat at maintenance calories for the other day(s). You should continue to lose the excess body weight. It's a numbers game with the greatest losses when we have more than 20-25% of our ideal body weight to lose. As we become more lean, the losses are in smaller increments. I liken it to our bodies adjusting to our new normal.
With that said, quality does play an important role. When I eat healthy foods at a weekly deficit, I see a downward trend in my weight. When I eat high sodium foods at a weekly deficit, I retain water and typically show a gain or no loss as the trend. When I eat high sugar foods at a weekly deficit, my body retains more water than with sodium and the trend definitely goes upward.Just Give Me 10 Days

6/18- 236.8 Readjusted my goals and calories budget decreased by 200 calories. Not worried about it though since I’ve been consistently logging below budget. I have a nagging worry in the back of my mind that this big weight loss at the beginning of my journey won’t stick. I’m at about 13lbs in 3 weeks with just sticking to 1500 calories. No exercise yet because I’m waiting for clearance. I feel like I’m cheating somehow.
@jerier Thank you for this reply. What you’re saying makes a lot of sense. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve used MFP to lose weight (with the same starting weight). It’s never come off this quickly so I’m afraid to get my hopes up. I keep thinking “all I’m doing is eating less”. But that’s not true because my food choices are definitely better this time. And that takes dedication I need to credit. Though I will definitely have days where I budget for a non-healthy treat, I know that the key is my food choices and relationship with food must change for time to be successful. I need to change my mentality that I didn’t “earn” these losses by actively exercising. I know the time will come when I will have to work harder. Thank you, again. I’m so glad I found this challenge.2 -

6/17 - 128.6 - Yesterday worked in garden and on housecleaning, 11K steps, under calories.
6/18 - 128.2 - Yesterday abandoned good sense and restraint. The lack of fitbit sync I was experiencing over the weekend did not help my poor attitude, nor did lack of running from my running buddy (hubs) nor my insistence on trying to mastermind things that I have no power over, including other people's feelings. Just an emo day that I wish I had handled better.
OTOH, the first batch of zucchini bread I made out of our garden was extremely great -- however that did not help my day fitness or diet wise either lol.

6/18: 161.2 - yesterday was busy. morning hike & a little weight training, then a long afternoon dog walk - enough calories burned to take my husband out for a father’s day dinner & even feel ok about drinking a beer... but now I’m sore, sleepy, & chained to the computer for another week of work... gotta get moving again today... can’t talk myself out of it today just because yesterday I did ok.
