Sour taste in mouth

I've been on my diet for nearly 3 months now and have lost 17 pounds so far.
I keep getting a very bitter taste in my mouth which I can't get rid of.
Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Acid reflux?1

I am just eating as healthily as I can but sticking to 1200 cal per day. logging everything I eat.
I don't feel as if it is the acid reflex as I don't get any other symptoms normally associated with it.

low carbing? if so, its ketosis. it usually goes away after a couple weeks in, though. are you carb cycling?2

Do you take any supplements, or meds? Some of them can do that.0

“Eating healthy” means lots of different things to lots of different people. Are there any times of day it seems more common? Any foods you eat right before it? Any foods you eat every day, or pretty much every day?1

Are you netting 1200? Or just eating 1200?0

Reflux can be otherwise asymptomatic, at least for a while. Try an OTC acid reflux med, or drink some baking-soda water (1tsp/cup), or something of that nature. See if that helps, and alongside, start paying attention to your food diary to see if it's more likely to happen after particular foods or types of food.1 -

I agree it can be what they call silent reflux.sour taste can mean acid reflux.but it can also be from meds like one of the other posted stated.1
