Ok mfp friends.... I have decided to join a fitness center. Eating healthier and walking 10k plus steps per day just aren’t cutting it. I found a local place 3 month membership special for 99.99. Ellipticals here I come!!! Prepare for chunks of lbs coming off of this body!!!

Happy Wednesday. Went to a bootcamp yesterday that I hated about two months ago--would come out sweaty and panting. Yesterday I sailed through it and could physically see and feel what better shape I'm in...did burn less calories though. Took a second Yoga class this week too, but I really need to improve my balance. You can't help but get results if you make a plan and stick with it. Carpe Diem.3

Happy Hump Day peeps! I've been struggling with logging my food just because I stopped doing it for a couple of days. Time to get my booty in gear and log my food. Once I start logging again I can stick with it. I just need to make the first move. Have a great day everyone! Welcome new peeps.3

Hello! My name is Julie; I live in North Carolina. My first day trying this app; I am not 100% sure what I am doing -- trying to do some things that seem like they do not work. For instance, I wanted to go back a couple of weeks to list my weight where I started, and it doesnt seem to allow me to do this. Does anyone know if there is a way?3

If you go to edit your profile then go to goal, you should be able to put in your starting date and weight in. Hope this helps.1

AAAHHHHH! My frustrated battle cry! LOL! I'm about to go "ham" on this rut I've fallen into! I don't know when, how, or even why I fell of the fitness wagon. I just know this is not okay!!!! (I'm laughing at myself and so serious at the same dern time) If any one has a Pilates routine and/or budget friendly meal planning I would really appreciate the info.1

Hi, I'm Jackie from Berlin, Germany, and I turned 50 this year. I started using MFP just 8 days ago - and I'm almost embarrassed to say, it's been an eye-opening experience! I've never been one to count calories, and I know, what we call normal portions in this family are far from. So I started faithfully logging everything I eat and drink ... wow. I eat pretty healthy, I just never realized how many calories things like fruit have! Also, I think it's the little things that have really added up for me, like spreading butter liberally over my bread, never realizing how much extra calories I was in for!
Over all, I aim to lose about 20-25 pounds, and I set my goal at 1 pound per week, which gives me 1520 calories to eat. At first, I thought "NO WAY! I'm going to starve!", but after a good week, it really isn't bad at all. Most days, I even stay below that, without going hungry. It also gives me the incentive to earn extra calories by exercising - mostly just walking with the puppy. Counting calories has really opened my eyes to portion control, and I guess for me, this'll be the key to success.

You can choose the date on the weight entry screen. Just select your starting date and weight.0 -
