I've had the same problem! I'd I lose really good for a while and then it will Plateau and stay at the same weigh. The past few weeks I've been stuck at the same weight not losing any at all and then a little over a week ago I started losing again.

I have to remember to change my eating habits, everytime I hit a plateau in order to the restart losing again . Seems like eating the same type foods all the time for me prevents weight loss and I need to remember to change my eating habits every so often so I can keep losing.

Wish you the very best in your journey.

@cloudspirit55 Thank you for sharing. I'll try to change up what I eat and see if that gives me a push in the right direction. I have been eating almost exactly the same things every day.

HSW: 284.2 lbs. (since joining MFP)
    CSW: 270.4
    UGW: 198 ( I'm 6" ft tall)

    4/16: 270.4 (started challenge)
    4/23: 266. (-4.4 lbs)
    5/2: 260.4. (-5.6 lbs)
    6/24 255 (-5.4 lbs)
Total lbs lost since starting this challenge
    ( 15.4 lbs)

The heaviest I've ever been was 400 lb that was a few years ago, I've lost a total of 145 lb since then. It's been a very long journey: however, it's better to take a long time, then never to done it at all and I'm so happy this is the lowest weight I've been at in more years then I can remember.

I am 55 years old and 6" ft tall. Wish I had lost all this excess weight when I was still young. At least my senior years will be a lot better health-wise free from the encumbrance of not being able to do much because of my obesity and the pain and problems physically that I go through have diminished a great deal, but there is still a ways to go. Very happy with the progress I'm making.

I wish everybody the best on this journey.

Very bad week. In the past this would have derailed me completely and I would have had an eating binge because what's the point. This time I'm trying to be more sensible and I'm refocusing. Hope it will work.

Better late then never. I am at 336, under 200 would be fantastic. Anyone up for a July push challenge. 10k steps a day is the go to challenge unless someone has a fun one. Ps I got under 300 in 2015 but was stricken with past injury pains and lost the drive. I need to get back in the seat and hit the gas. Thanks for starting this. Good luck to all.

I’ve decided to weigh in on Sundays, but since I forgot to post my update from this past Sunday I’m catching up today.

The greatest benefit that I’ve received so far from tracking my food diary is that I’ve begun to pay better attention to the nutrients in the food that I’m eating. For example, by increasing my potassium intake I’ve balance things out enough to help alleviate a lot of my edema. I know that also means a large percentage of the weight that I’ve lost so far is probably water weight and not fat, but what matters most is that I feel so much better with my reduction in inflammation.

    Sunday Updates

    Here's my update:

    USW: 312
    SW: 300.6
    CW: 292.6
GW #1: 249 - hopefully by my next birthday
    GW #2: 225
    GW #3: 199
    GW #4: 185
    GW #5: 169

    6/1 - 300.6
    6/12 - 297.6
    6/19 - 295.6
    6/27 - 292.6 -3 lbs Total: 8lbs

I don't know what it is about the .6 on the end lol but I was doing really good eating on track. Then hormones kicked in this week and painful cramps have caused me to not want to do anything. Ugh...I will have to get back on track. I don't want to sabotage my success.

Hello! I have been working on this on my own, but would LOVE to have company! May I join late?
I set out to lose about 120 pounds.
I started by going vegan on May 28 (the day after Memorial Day). That had me feeling much better, but did not make a big difference in my weight. I have adjusted my diet to aim for the Zone diet (40% protein at each meal, 4-5 small meals/day). and upped my workouts (now 2-3 martial arts sessions/week, 1 spinning & yoga class, 3 long walks).
    GW: 140
    6/11 - 257.9
    7/2 - 253.1

    Goals for this week:
    1) stick to food plan
    2) at least 450 minutes walking, martial arts, etc.

    Goal for this month:
    1) get my weight below 250

Hi! I'm late joining this challenge but I am going to give it my all. I currently weigh 259.8 lbs. My big goal is to get down to 175 lbs. However, I can't focus on that number because it would be too overwhelming, so I have smaller goals that will build to that one. My first goal is 230 lbs. My second is 215 then 200 then 185 then 175.

I just started doing a Pop Pilates for beginners workout and they are great!

@Kprice17, Welcome! This is exactly what I do. I always set my goal 10lbs lower than my actual weight. I've lost 60lbs so far. 60 to go. 10lbs at a time.
