Happy Mid-Week...looking like my Dodgers/Phils game is going to be a wet one. Hopefully it doesn't go in to 16 innings like last night. Had a great treadmill run yesterday (if that's even possible) even though I cut back from running probably 80% in favor of a boatload of other cardio. I'm pretty exercise motivated since it means I don't have to sacrifice as much food. For all the new visitors, feel free to add me if you don't mind a 56 year old "middle ager."

    You got your period?

No sharks around me anymore. Wife graduated from that phase, and daughters moved out.

😆 I don't actually think he means that kind of shark week , but its the only context I've ever heard that said. Lol

Very funny, @slimgirljo15! I had been on MFP about three weeks and a woman posted something a small weight gain and then noted - "It's Shark Week." I'm all like :/ - It's not Shark Week - What the hell is she talking about?

Had one of those DOH! moments when I figured it out. :D

So can you tell me what "Shark Week" is? I actually have no clue lol :# Im Australian and there's only one meaning for shark week here.

    And Good morning peeps

Good Morning @slimgirljo15 ! Hmm. So my sons say this, so let me put it tactfully. Besides being a week of programming on the Discovery channel, it is an irreverent euphemism for a lady's menstruation period. I think it is a reference to "blood in the water." :-( Sorry for being vulgar

Yeah, I had to look "Shark Week" up on Google yesterday. I'm so behind the times I've now become my mother.

Anxiety attack led to a lot of hard pretzels and a huge chocolate peanut butter cookie. Still feeling the anxiety, and now I'm bloated. So, when it feels like you're about to go under, how do you deal with your issues?

Start fresh, can't change yesterday (or the last meal). You over did it on carbs and sugar, and a little fat. Everyone does. I personally limit my intake of those for the next few days, get lots of protein, water and exercise. Simple to say, easy to do. I can say, when I'm riding my bike every day, I can eat a large bag of pretzels and not gain weight. However, pretzels isn't my go to binge food at all, all that wheat does things to me that are unspeakable, lol. I prefer popcorn, cheese+wheat crackers, dark chocolate enhanced granola, and yes lucky charms, that type thing. Not so much sugar and white flour.

Hi from beautiful BC. The weatherman is predicting temps of 37+ this weekend. Don't ask me what that is in Murican.

Spartacus - I'm 64 and still lifting. I'm not stopping as long as I can haul my carcass into the gym.

Check out a book called "The Barbell Prescription" by Sullivan and Baker. And the Greysteel channel on YouTube. Lots of seasoned citizens still hitting it hard in the gym.

I'm in the West Kootenays, and it's always crazy hot here in the summer. Meanwhile, in the winter, we get crazy amounts of snow. Which is fine, Red Mountain is only 20 min. away.. :-)
