Had a telephone conversation with someone we do business with who told me I am an inspiration and he is now making an effort to get back to the gym and lose weight because he has seen such good changes in me, not just the weight loss but the increase in confidence he has seen.18

So a couple of weeks ago ...I MADE IT!(Though I've managed to reel it in & not shout about it from the rooftops)
Last weekend we were out shopping for a few clothes & at the entrance of every shop he said loudly "Come on, let's get your overweight *kitten* in there & see if we can find something to fit it...*smacks my backside*"
Everyone around must've thought he was a horrible human being but oh my gosh....he is super proud & my biiiiggest cheerleader. Him remembering our silly conversation is exactly why I love him hardest of all humans haha!
Out of all the wonderful NSVs I've enjoyed this one has to be my favourite so far!(Even if it stems from a technical SV!!)
Aaaaaaaah yes!! This is awesome! I am in the same boat! The husband is so supportive and he's often the one pushing clothes at me when mine get too big. When I'm afraid to try something because I fear it won't fit, he'll push me into the unknown.
This is a GREAT NSV!! Congrats on reaching overweight!
My latest NSV: my toes look skinnier.
Me: *looks down*
Me: Huh. I've got skeletor toes.
Me, to my body: Seriously? The toes? Really? Of all the places, you think THIS is a priority? I WAS OKAY HAVING SAUSAGE TOES, I REALLY WANTED THE RUBBER DUCKY TO SHRINK.
Nope, I got toes.
(weirdest and dumbest NSV, but the body does what the body does and mine apparently wanted skinnier toes.)31 -
Stamps foot - I REALLY want a button for Funny As.... (I keep saying this but mfp is ignoring me!
@dhiammarath - There is someone out there who is desperate for skinny toes - maybe you could do a swap!12 -

You can get dates here? I did not know that!

There really needs to be a "funny/hilarious" face. And not convoluted like the 'woo' with the kind of happy man face to my blind bat eyes but with a meaning opposite of his face/name.
LIKE THE DATES, needs a funny emoji. (YUMYUM)6 -
Going through my wardrobe and chucking out clothes that were too big to fit anymore, cathartic and gratifying19

Hahaha, I LOVE this! I feel like I'm talking to me on a different account?!?
I too now have toes that don't touch together....I've even gone down a shoe size & if it wasn't for my hubs, this entire last year I'd have been buying clothes that were far too big! Additionally it was he who insisted I put down the bootcuts & tried slim leg. I said I'd look like I was walking on overstuffed sausages, he strongly disagreed....he was right & I was so wrong!
Love that your hubs is super supportive too, read so much on the forums that makes me sad for others in not such a fortunate position....
Hope you've been rocking sandals to show those slender badboys off!8 -

@Vonny198334 Yes! I am, but I am also wearing boots because my calves are no longer giant monsters (which my husband would strenuously disagree but he ain't here XD). Which is an NSV of itself. BECAUSE HELLO SEXY BOOTS. Not only sexy boots, but dragonpants adorned with sexy boots.17 -

My body did this to me too. I had the discussion about how belly fat was more dangerous and it'd be best for my body to rid itself of fat from there. But Nope, it didn't listen.....it wanted skinny toes.😲13 -

Both of you make me laugh (studying my toes closely now....)

‘Scuse me a sec while I remove my socks...
...anyway. Sort of related to the skinny toes, my feet are narrowing. Back in January I had to get men’s wide trainers; now I’m in the women’s wide of the same model. Woohoo! I can finally wear things that are the correct shape around the heel!14 -
I felt my ribs this morning. (I also gain a pound but I am going to let that go for now)7

When I lean back in a chair and stretch, my belt loosens instead of tightening.11

I have another clothing nsv-lol! At Kohl’s this morning I tried on a size 6 petite jeans and they zipped right up! Almost couldn’t believe it. Also picked up a cute camo print t-shirt from *the junior dept* (!)
Kind of a funny juxtaposition since it’s Wednesday and I got my senior discount. hee!27 -
If there are any other Orange Theory people on here...
I've transitioned from "jogger" to "runner".14 -
My pants are fitting loose around the thigh area and waist for the first time in a long while.12

Yesterday I walked 15,000 steps!! I work a sit down job at a bank. Hoping to keep the momentum up!19

I have several pretty button up shirts I haven't been able to wear in at least two years. Yesterday I tried on my favorite "just to see" and it fit great! No more gaping buttons around my bust!15

4:30 was so hard this morning. But i made myself get up. About 10 minutes into my walk I felt so much better for doing it. Squeezed in a quick training session on my barrel horse too (I've promised myself I wouldn't compete on her until i got under a certain weight since she's a bit smaller. We have a memorial barrel race where I live in January for a very special lady so I have a massive motivator)15

Only found this app a week ago. Been halfway watching what I eat since June 1. Didn't have a scale to measure with. All I know is I gained a notch on my belt and now have almost gotten 2 notches back20

I’m wearing a medium shirt today! I started at 2XL. So happy!34
-
I ate delivery pizza 3 times this month but have been able to maintain 1.5lb/week loss regardless!28

I'm wearing a t-shirt today I bought two years ago, and it's very loose, even in the hips! Also, I picked up my volunteer outfit for the European track and field championships, and they assigned me a form-fitted women's t-shirt (I hate hate hate them ... or so I thought). It's in XL, but it fits like it's supposed to, and for the first time ever, I do not look like I'm wearing a sausage casing.18

We do a modified hurdler hamstring stretch in my Wednesday exercise class (leg is out to the side rather than out front).
I've never been able to touch my toes in that stretch.
I touched my toes last night25 -
more than 15.000 steps yesterday, yeah! earned my whatever fit bit calls it - badge22

I realised over the weekend that I can’t trust what I see in the mirror - and that I’m actually down to the size I want to be. Bugger the scales.
I put on a pair of jeans before going to the hairdresser and all I could see in the mirror was fat, chunky thighs. I thought they looked huge. No different to when I was 25kgs heavier.
Walked into the hairdresser and she didn’t recognise me - she had to ask my name. My hairdresser was in disbelief that it was actually me - and I’m only down 15kgs since I last saw her 8 months ago (I know, I should get my hair cut more often)! Apparently I look like a completely different person, yet to me I don’t look any different in that mirror. It made me realise that my mind hasn’t quite caught up yet...
I went out to a party that night and the second part of this NSV happened when photos popped up on Facebook the next day. I was scrolling through and saw a photo of all the ladies I’d spent the night with. I wondered how I missed the photo opportunity - I don’t normally miss a group photo! It took a double take for me to realise that I was actually in the photo. That skinny person on the left - that’s me. I don’t use the term ‘skinny’ lightly but there is me standing next to one of my lovely slim friends and I’m looking just as slim. Not only am I slimmer - I look completely different. Like a completely different person.
So maybe the hairdresser was right? Maybe I’m not seeing the truth in the mirror? An huge NSV for me to realise I’m pretty happy with the way I look now.47
