I weigh less than my driver's license says I do. Wait, is that a scale victory? Either way, I'll take it!24

Well, my scale is uncooperative lately, but having to wear a belt so that my hiking pants don't hang around my *kitten* making me look like a teenager with those low slung pants counts for something, right?21

Completed my 50th Parkrun today.
Didn't think that I would get there in time for the start as we were dropping off my son (who usually runs with me) at his cadet unit for his summer camp today (don't get me started on that, it's the first time he's been away from home and I started and finished the run in floods of tears).
So, in the absence of my son, my teenage daughter did half of the first lap with me then told me to carry on without her as I was too fast for her to keep up with. She completed the first lap then waited for me so that she could run with me down the final straight down towards the finish line. So, so sweet of her as she's not a runner (yet but she will be).
But, 50 parkruns = 250km = almost 80 miles. Not to mention all the training runs inbetween, which have probably quadrupled that amount.
Still can't get over the "Running - ME!" disbelief thing.
(NB: Feeling a bit better about my son going away for a week as I've just spoken to him. Sounds like he's having fun with some adventures on the way there - it was only an hour's drive to the camp and it's taken them three hours to get there due to a breakdown! All the cadets' families have been invited next weekend to see what they've been up to over the week - I will be the first parent there - and to try out the boating activities for themselves so really looking forward to that).27 -
During my HIIT intervals today all 5 were at .12 miles where in the past I would only have 2 or 3 per workout. Yoo hoo!!!9

Great job everyone on your scale and non scale victories!! Y'all are so inspiring!!
I had a scale-related victory, but it's not so much the number as how my body has been 'behaving'. So last week my husband and I walked 100 miles at the Vierdaagse. I felt like I needed this recovery week so I didn't do any workouts and ate according to what my body was asking for. And alllllllll those calories that I burned came back with a vengeance...I was STARVING this week!!! I did good tracking my food throughout the day and while I was at work, but I'd come home and eat 232796338 calories. Not a complete surprise, so I didn't get upset with myself. So no workouts and definite overeating, but the scale showed in my favor today! We'll see next week but I will take this win, even if it's temporary!
Where the NSV is is that after my week of lazy bingeing, I am itching to get back to work. I am excited to start and I've created a new workout routine. There's a half marathon coming up in my community that I'm going to sign up for. So even with a major routine interruption my body's telling me to keep on keepin' on!21 -

Just realised that my maths is rubbish today. That should read 160 miles, not 80. Have no idea how I got 80 miles, my mind was clearly elsewhere . . .

I started using Strava to track my paddling on May 19th. Since then, I have paddled 140 miles.11

Each day that the weather allows, my husband and I get in the pool for a couple of hours. The first 30 minutes I do water aerobics. This week DH has started joining me and after the normal routine we take turns making up new exercises for an additional 30 minutes. Pool time is our favorite activity now.16

I ran 5 miles today, took just under an hour (53 minutes). Wohoo, getting close to 1/3 of my major goals (run a 10k in under an hour).29

I hit my step goal of 10,000 steps Monday-Friday last week! I even got on the treadmill at 10pm one night when I needed 1300 more to get there. I have never done either of these things since I’ve been tracking my steps.
I think I might have inspired my husband to start wearing hit FitBit again and to pay attention to his steps! I wasn’t trying to, I just needed to tell someone about how I was inspired by my sister (who gets 15,000 every day with a desk job!) and next thing I know, he’s wearing his FitBit for the first time in weeks! And he showed me his steps after he mowed the lawn.19 -
Stayed on track logging, and below quota, despite a three day road trip in the car.16

My wedding rings fit again 😁29

I hiked up a volcano! I did this hike 8 years ago (and 50lbs heavier), and felt like I was gonna die. Now I could have jogged up it.27

Yesterday I hit 1000 days logging into MFP42

I was away for three days, mostly eating festival food/snacks/late night munchies and not drinking anywhere near as much water as usual. This morning the scale was 2.5lbs up; in real terms I overate to the tune of a max of 2000 over maintenance across the entire three days and I'm still sore and achy from being on my feet constantly (20,000+ steps/day on Friday and Saturday), so the 'real' weight gain is pretty minimal (I'm expecting everything to have settled by the end of the week). Yesterday I ate at a bit under maintenance, and today I am back on the portion size wagon as if the last few days never happened. The NSV is feeling that it's all under control.25

Two for me:
- I've started tucking my tops into my jeans again. Because it looks better than leaving it out. And my belt is almost consistently at another notch down.
- At a family gathering yesterday, I didn't massively overeat, even though I had ample opportunity to.16 -
This may be an overshare, but I got new undies in anticipation of needing them during a sale a couple weeks ago, and didn't even try them on when they arrived as they looked "way too small." I washed them and put them away. On Friday, I grabbed a new pair by mistake and they fit! Woo! I guess I'm smaller than I feel like I look.25

Went to a theme park over the weekend and fit on every roller coaster I wanted to ride. No walk of shame off the platform because the harness wouldn't latch and I made some great memories with my son.46

Finally got around to my first hike on the mountain this year. There is a trail up there, that used to take me around 3 hours to complete. Last year when I hiked it, I had to stop frequently to catch my breath and get my heart rate down. I had to take my inhaler even though I had already taken it before beginning the hike. I was miserable for most of the hike.
This year: I was able to keep up with my husband and friend. They didn't have to wait on me all the time to rest before I could continue. Most rest breaks involved hydrating myself or the dogs. Not because I couldn't walk another step. I decided not to take the long loop, because it would add another hour to a 3 hour hike. But I could have. We completed the short loop in 2 hours! I hiked the whole thing, without really stopping. My lungs protested a bit, but I did not need the 2nd puff on my inhaler. I hiked this year. Did not die. Fitness goal accomplished! (sort of)
The sort of part: In preparation for hiking comfortably this year I have been working my whole body towards that goal. Especially a focus on my glutes, quads, and hamstrings & the like to propel me up the mountain. I kind of left those tiny little muscles on my hips behind though. (hip flexors). I spent the good part of yesterday hobbling around like I was 80 because they were so sore! Apparently Pilates leg lifts needs to be part of my routine now.30 -
1. My wedding ring is beginning twirl on my finger.
2. My high waist jeans are now SUPER HI WAIST. They come up under my bra almost.
3. One of my favorite pair of silk lounging pants are nice and loose now as they should be. Prior they were tight and uncomfortable - they FLOW now.
4. I can cross my legs like a lady!24 -
One more!! Though it maybe a little TMI, but my tummy has come way down. there is no interference in the lovemaking department LOL. Better positioning and yep, I can see what's going on!!!23

I have the same issue with pretty much all my clothes, especially jeans. I look at them and think "wow, there's no way I can fit into those", but I can.9 -
^^^ me too! I’ve never been smaller than a size 10 as an adult so now shorts in my current size 6 look like I would never be able to get into them. It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, but I’m still at the point where I suck in my stomach and get ready to gyrate to get them on and zipped and they just zip right up. lol10

You look great up there. Love these types of workouts. It's not for everybody, but it looks really cool and super fun. (And difficult). Good for you!
