I am still just above 60 kg and now doing 18/6 most days with ease, and roughly 2 x 24 hour fasts each week.
Everyone notices and some are worried about me wanting to lose more weight, but they are people that are generally overweight.
I am fed up of hanging skin so will keep doing what I am doing and see how it goes.
Something I did notice is that when I eat out I feel like crap afterwards, I have no idea what stuff they are putting in some of the meals.
I had a chinese and has ibs for 3 days and cravings. Had a coffee club salad and think it was way more calories than they said.
But over all going to health and loving how much better my body feels and loving the lack of hunger, its not that I never get hungry but most times its just mild hunger pangs and it passes in a few minutes, but just before I go to eat I feel ravenous and I so enjoy my food, I think I am finally learning what real hunger feels like rather than emotional hunger.5 -
Five weeks in and feeling better every day/week. First real social road block this weekend. A guys golf weekend that normally contains a lot of golf, a few beers and lots of bad food. I’m sure to go off Ketosis but will test my willpower to get back on track Sunday. I’ll let you know what happens weightwise if interested.
Update
Week 1, 8.2 lbs lost
Week 2, 2.8 lbs lost
Week 3, 6.4 lbs lost
Week 4, 2.6 lbs lost
Week 5, 1.8 lbs lost4 -
3 day guys golf weekend over. Tried really hard to stay on plan but with beverage cart every 30 min and limited food options at clubhouse. (Can only eat wings so long.) I did want up with a few Bud Lights in cupholder and a few carbs to boot. Plus 2lbs for weekend. Will see how many days that sets me back. Got some rest and back on plan.1

Today is my second day on keto. Your weekly totals are awesome! Well done!
Passed on pizza yesterday and walked past birthday cake in the break room 3 times this afternoon. Determined to make a change. “Nothing changes if nothing changes.” Thanks for sharing - I needed it!2 -
Hi all new here just started day two! I am in carb withdrawel!! Trying to drink as much water to help me! Is anyone else experiencing this? Also, I purchase zero calorie sports drinks to help if I get the Keto flu to replace lost electrolytes. Hope to be part of the LOOSING crowd soon!

Any suggestions for best means to monitor/check ketosis? How accurate are the strips, or best to just get the blood monitor?0

Welcome to the newbies! I’ve done Keto before but my Keto flu was so much worse this time around. Magnesium, sodium, potassium and just powering through is what got me through it (and a lot of apologies to my family for dealing with my crankiness).
I’m just over 6 weeks back to Keto and down just over 9 lbs. Slow, but going in the right direction.xrsize4dad wrote: »Any suggestions for best means to monitor/check ketosis? How accurate are the strips, or best to just get the blood monitor?
Even though I hear that Keto urine strips aren’t accurate, they are what I use to check if I am in Ketosis. I’m too much of a chicken to do blood monitoring. 😬1 -

Thanks Paul, great articles!0 -
I just finished my day one onto day two
I'm not going at "hard-core" probably as most of you but I'm mostly focusing on watching my carb in-take.
Keeping it as close to net 20g a day as I can. Increasing my protein and fat intake.
Only looking to lose 15-20lbs
goal weight: 125-130lbs .... 5'6.5

Dr Eric Berg on YouTube is the king of keto!! Dr Ken Berry is good too. I'm a little bias and will highly recommend Dr Berg, he's the best!!
Btw, my advice is to prep your body before keto, like start taking vitamins and electrolytes because you will drop weight very fast. I lost 10 lbs in less than a week when Istarted out. Good luck!0 -

Oh you will just keep doing what you're doing.0
