Day/Weight
8/16 - 146.8 - saw this weight last round, will see if it sticks around this time.
8/17 - 146.8
8/18 - 148.0 when I woke up and 146.2 after I decided to go back to bed for a couple hours. Hoping the 146.2 is accurate but I also had a burger and booze last night so I see where 148 comes from. Either way I'm back on track today, Friday is always my relaxed evening when it comes to food and drinks because it's usually date night for me and my husband.
8/19 - 148.2 - I guess my body isn't ready to be rid of this number yet. I've lost pretty consistently since January though so being stuck here for a bit is ok.
8/20 - 149.0 - ok with being stuck but not gaining, so very frustrated. Kids start school tomorrow so things should be getting back on a pretty set schedule and I am definitely needing the consistency it'll bring.
8/21 148.0 - my weigh ins have moved to an hour earlier than I have been now that school has started and I have to get my son up early. Was completely expecting an increase and was going to be perfectly fine with it as I took the day off from work to spend a day out with my kids before the 1st day of school. It included pizza buffet and popcorn at the movies so still might see the increase tomorrow but going to eat as healthy as possible today and hope it doesn't jump again.
8/22 - 148.0 - Had a lunch picnic at my sons school for his 1st day, ate a hot dog and then filled up on fruit and veggies instead of the tons of chips that were there and brought my cookie home for my daughter. Hoping to see a drop before the end of this round.
8/23 - 148.0
8/24 - 148.2 - chips and salsa I cannot resist

Round 4 for me. My goal for this round is to stay in onderland. On holiday at the moment so I'll start weighing in from the 19th, hopefully, I wouldn't have done much damage to my journey. Being mindful of my food choices.
8/16 away no scale
8/17 away no scale
8/18 away no scale.
8/19 196.5lbs - back from a well earnt rest. Pleased to see this number again, as I thought that I would put weight on during my time away. But instead a 2lb loss!! I have restarted with my water again, as I didn't keep it up when I was away, so it will be no surprise it the scale goes back up tomorrow. However, I'm feeling relaxed, peaceful and content with life, which is a great feeling to have.
8/20 197.5- to be expected as my body adjusts to the water I've been drinking
8/21 197.2 - happy with this -need to up my water only drank half the amount I was supposed to - need to add in an exercise routine too... maybe today?
8/22 198.2lbs oh well!!- looking on the bright side, I'm still in onderland. Didn't exercise yesterday but need to start... maybe this will give me the push I need.
8/23 197.5 - still no exercise but my water intake is going up, so that's good
8/24 196.2lbs -I think my body is getting used to the water intake again. I'm slowly introducing to more each day and it seems to be reacting to it well.

8/16 - 156 - Wow, after all my whining last round, my weight suddenly seems to be moving in the right direction. I have a feeling this won't stick, but it sure is nice to see this number. I haven't seen this weight since 2001.
8/17 - 156.5 - Not too bad of a bounce back. I didn't get all my water in yesterday, so I'll be chugging it today.
8/18 - 156 - OK!
8/19 - 156 - I had a little extra salt today, so tomorrow may show it, but I'm really happy when my weight doesn't go up on the weekend!
8/20 - 155.5 - This is nice to see on a Monday morning!
8/21 - 155.5 - I'm holding steady and that's OK. I went into a slight panic this morning when I got in my office and realized I forgot to bring my half sandwich for lunch today. It's pretty funny because 6 months ago I would have used it as an excuse to go to the little restaurant next door and ordered their yummy ham and cheese sliders. Today, they've lost their appeal and I will make do with my banana, grapes, popcorn, and some crackers. It's amazing how the daily weigh in has changed my food choices/priorities.
8/22 - 155 - I hit my wedding weight from 8/11/2001! I'm also down 2.5 lbs. from one week ago! I wonder if my body is just catching up from the plateau I had from mid July to early August. Doesn't matter, I'm glad I stuck through it and managed to see this number again.
8/23 - 155.5 - I'm not even mad. I actually expected a little bump from yesterday as that's how my body loses weight. I hope to see that 155 again tomorrow, so I'll make sure to drink all the water today.
8/24 - 155.5 - I ended up eating a late supper and we're having pizza tonight, so I may not see 155 again for a while. However, I pulled out a pair of jeans for casual Friday this morning that I haven't been able to wear in years and they are loose!

*Non-digital scales*
8/16 72kg - almost within cals yesterday, walked 12k steps, but no other exercise. Skipped my run this morning as I needed the extra hour in bed after a bad night. Work takes priority this week before holidays
8/17 - 71 whoosh! It could be 70.5, but I don't want to get overly excited yet. Within cals yesterday, walked 11k steps and went for a short run this morning, only 20mins as per my 5-10k plan.
I had been planning to only eat back half my exercise cals back, but I struggle with that.
8/18 71kg despite some self sabotaging emotional eating yesterday. I ended up not logging.
Today is a travel day, only a short flight, but the whole trip still takes about 5hours and then sister's birthday party
8/19 holiday back home til 26th - 72kg on parent's digital scale. I'm not going to log food this week and just be mindful where possible. I will over eat, I know that and that's ok. I really want this holiday to be not stressful - logging unknown / never-logged / homemade foods would stress me.
I had a lovely time last night with lots of snacks and some drinks, but managed to go for my run today and will make more of an effort to get my 10k steps in. Moving to earn more cals is my strategy while here.
8/20 .. 72kg, weighed after breakfast, had wine and lots of snacks last night and already many baked goods today.
8/21 .. 72kg, i was starting to wonder if something is wrong with these scales, every time i step on them they show 72. I've not been logging and haven't moved much. But I found another scale in the house and it showed the same. I'm off for my run now, so will get more steps in today.
8/22 ..no scales
8/23 .. no scales. did my run on 21st plus boxing class in the eve. But didn't manage to hit my step goal, then had a carby dinner and wine. 22nd was spa day with my friend, had a lovely massage and then walked around the city with stops for ice cream&prosecco. Also had a big dinner, should have scales again on Friday, but today is another birthday and then dinner plans with more friends.
8/24 .. 73.1kg before breakfast, 72.4 after run. Also last day of having a digital scale at my parent's. Going to a gig tonight, so maybe counter the booze calories by dancing them off won't have a scale tomorrow, so this is where the round ends for me. Not as bad as expected, let's see what the aftermath of this week will be...
Love this thread, all the support and witnessing everyone's journey! See you in Round 5113 -

•8/16 - 187 - WOW. I haven't retained fluid like this for a while.
•8/17 - 185 - Okay, it's ON fluid retention. Drank my ACV & lemon water this morning and will be increasing my water consumption to 100+ ozs daily. I'll be drinking a cup of parsley tea later and will continue doing that every day until I don't feel like spongebarb any longer. And SLEEP! That's what my weight increase and this drop is from, not enough and a recoup. Getting there, still retaining. I also need to revise my food diary today. Acceptable foods that cause me no problems, but I need to not eat them at this time.
•8/18 - 185.6 - It's going to be a battle. I'm ready.
•8/19 - 185.8 - OOoooo I had a feeling that once I reached 186 I would plateau. I looked 2 rounds back, I never touched on 186. My body is such a tease. And let
yeah, still retaining fluid. Smh.
•8/20 - 184 - Only one pound left to reach a 70 lb loss.
•8/21 - 184 - My 1 yr weightloss journey anniversary. YAAAAAAAY. Well, 183.8 and 183 showed up this morning. Also, 182 and 180.2. Lol. My scale was trying to help me out with a 70 lb loss today. I'm still retaining some fluid so 183.8 or 183 may be true. Still have 50 lbs to go, so I'm not going to rejoice too much.
•8/22 - 184.4- I'm having SO MUCH FUN. Fluid retention, TMJ flare and my intestines decided to throw a raucous party and insisted that I attend.
•8/23 - 183.8 - Well, lookee here what number showed up this morning. My jaw seems fine, but I'm giving myself one more day of easy to chew foods.
•8/24 - 183.4 - Early weigh in - I'm beginning to feel excited! I am so close to my 10lb goal of 183 (set with MFP) and 70lbs lost total. Now, I feel comfortable with updating my MFP progress to 184lbs.

8/23 - back off holidays after a wonderful time in very sunny and hot France but diet wasn't great - way too much good wine, cheese and bread in that country! Not yet weighed - save that joy for tomorrow! Although in all fairness looking forward to getting back to "normal" eating as a bit "fooded" out and bloated. Back to the gym tonight and hoping my PT won't suggest a body fat measure - the result is likely to read "Pure Cheese" rather than a percentage! Blood donation next week too so likely to donating red wine rather than blood!!! However a great few weeks, kids off school for another week and a half then they head back to school - ho hum.....
Anyway, back to normal food and water intake today and for the rest of this round, will face the scales tomorrow morning and then the long UK bank holiday weekend including a day out with the girls plus a family BBQ ..... Could be an excuse to not start back on plan till next week but trying to not let it!
8/24 - 140.70lb - Could blame it on a carb heaver dinner last night (hubbys homemade burgers) or going back to the gym last night after three weeks (fluid retention in my muscles as I ache this morning) but the reality is I know for sure where all the cheese and french baguettes went It is what it is but what I do know is that previously I would have carried on my holiday eating and drinking long (long, long, long!) after getting home whereas this year I feel so ready to get back to a normal eating plan. So will take that as progress and am aiming to get holiday weight off within a couple of rounds.

8/16 166.8 apparently my body likes this number lol. Ate 1200 calories last night ...right on the dot, never done that before. 80 min insanity and 2 liters of water. Overall a great day, no complaints. It has been two weeks since I last took my measurments so today I will have to do that
8/17 165.4 ate below my calorie goal but had a rest day with my exercise routine but did go on extra walks and did some HITT exercises for the first time. Drank 1 liter of water. Good day all in all.
8/18 164.8 my body is weird. I haven't seen a daily drop like this since my first round. Although I'm slightly skeptical because it happened so fast I'm still happy to see this number, even if it ends up being just for today. Ate under calories, exercised for an hour and drank 1 liter of water. I also took my measurment yesterday and in the past two weeks I lost an inch (everhwere). Not bad if I do say so myself. In-laws are coming for dinner tonight and although I will work hard to watch my portions, we will just have to see. *crosses fingers*
8/19-- 166.6. Last night I had a dinner party with the in laws at my place and although I stuck to my portions, ate tons of veggies and fruit for desert (plus exercised all morning before beginning the house cleaning and exercised after they had left) as the night wore on, the temptation of the food put out for the late night snacking took over. I ended up eating some cookies and after they had left potatoe pancakes (I blame my hubby for having the munchies) it's ok though. I am not as dissapoined as I thought I would be, probably because this wasn't necessarily a sabotage, just a moment of weakness and being up later than usual. I have no doubt it will come off in no time (hopefully faster then the other times I gained) 1 liter of water. Here is to a better day!!
8/20-- 165.4 ate well and exercised good. My body has been sore all weekend. It's started with my lower abs and yesterday my arms and calves, haven't felt this sore since I started working out. I was thinking of taking a day off but I am not crazy about the idea, so will probably do yoga and stretching. 1 liter of water. Have a great week everyone
8/21-- 164.8 wasn't hungry yesterday and exercised a lot. I was in a work out mood. Walked a lot, got 80 min of insanity in and even did some HITT exercises. I even had a weird energy boost at 12 30 am and worked out till 2. The only downside is I didn't get very much sleep. Hopefully I can just go to bed early tonight and feel better rested tomorrow. 1.2 liters of water. Hope everyone has a great day.
8/22 165.2 I ate within my calories but my carbs and salt in take was higher then usual. I was craving bread, which hasn't happened in a long time. I had a rest day from my usual work outs as well. Just took it easy. I'm not worried, I know it will go down by tomorrow. I'm proud of myself because I made two large homemade pizzas for the family and wasn't tempted. I stuck to my salad lol. 1 liter of water. I know I have said this countless of times but I am going to really start focussing on drinking more. No more excuses!!
8/23 164.8 ate within my caloriea, worked out and drank 1.6 liters of water. I do hope I meet my goal but we will see. My insanity program turned into a core and balance program for the week, which means I am not doing as much cardio as usual, I also started some endurance exercises (push ups, planks, ab exercises...the works) so I think it might effect the pace of my loss. I am keeping positive though.
8/24 163.8 wasn't expecting this. Exercised for 90 mins on endurance challenges. Drank 1.5 liters but had another day where I wasn't too hungry. Didn't expect to meet my goal but if this sticks I will have made it. Slept good so today I am well rested. Hopefully the next ten days won't see this much yo yoing.19 -

8/17 - 190.8 - well that was unexpected! It’s been a week of work provided lunches as we start back to school - I tried to eat as healthy as I could - not bad!
8/18 - 192.4 - hmmmm
8/19 - 192.6 - family in town so couldn’t get the workout in, went out to lunch and had some wine. Back on track today!

Round 47 SW 179.4
Round 48 SW 178.2
Round 49 SW 177.8
Round 50 SW 175.6
8/16 175.6/ My goal for this challenge is to get into the 173’s. I’m pleased that my starting weight for each challenge has really decreased. Tonight we’re eating at home and I’m going to yoga. Tomorrow will be a challenge because we’re going out so I might get up in the morning and work-out tomorrow.
8/17 173.4/ I know I won’t be maintaining this number tomorrow since we’re going out tonight and I probably won’t be able to drink enough water to catch up. My new goal is 171s during this round. I’d love to be out of this decade soon.
8/18 No weigh in
8/19 No weigh in
8/20 177.2 / This is my every Monday problem and I’m sure it will be a problem next Monday as well because we’re going to a wedding this weekend. I’ll be drinking plenty of water today.
8/21 176.0/ A loss is a loss. I went out to happy hour with my husband last night and ate chips and queso/guac for dinner. Today we’re eating at home which should be more manageable..
8/22 176.6/ Frustrating day, I’m not sure what I did wrong yesterday and I know I drank plenty of water.
8/23 174.4/ Much, much better. I’m finding that when I have a bad weekend I can’t get back on track for at least a full week. It was a lot easier even just a few years ago, which is fine. It’s something to learn from moving forward. I have three trips coming up, one at the end of September, one in mid-October, and one in mid-November. I’m looking forward to hitting some milestones before each. I just need to get out of this decade.
8/24 174.2/ I’m up .08 from last week, but still in the general ballpark of an over 5 pound loss. I’ll be travelling the next two days and won’t be able to check back in until Monday. I’m hoping to keep things pretty steady by being conscious about water and food and alcohol consumption this weekend.

8/15 189.5* (* denotes weigh in on scale that is at the new house not my usual apartment scale)
8/16 - Thursday - 187.0* - As much as I'd like to base my goal of this number not yesterdays - I know that's not realistic. I didn't eat enough yesterday as it was too hot to cook and I didnt have an appetite either. I also weighed on not my scale again and tomorrow will be on my scale, so I'm taking all these numbers as data, but not very specific data. Like I said last round - more focus on my mental health these days. No lunch packed as I'm VERY in limbo - DH wants moes for lunch and I started panicking that it wasnt healthy and would cost too much. But guess what - it is what it is! So instead, I'm rejoicing that I get to eat a quesadilla and realizing that I already planned a little financial cushion this week because we need to eat and cooking thru this is not realistic. I definitely have a caloric cushion too because I've been undereating surprisingly these past few days.
8/17 - Friday - 189.0 - Moving day. Hot. Humid. Thunderstorms. Got it done. We are bruised and battered but I am in awe of what I accomplished. Saying thanks to my body for being the beast I forgot it could be. I did one season of heavy lifting way back when and would love to get back into it! I definitely didnt expect moving to make me love my body more but it did.
8/18 - Saturday - 186.5* - ate fried chicken after completing what felt like a heroic feat of a move. Unpacking some boxes today but taking it easy. Havent been sore like this in a long time but I don't mind one bit. a reminder of what I accomplished. Went grocery shopping for some things for the week.
8/19 - Sunday - 189.5* - Made a nice big breakfast, but not much of an appetite. Enjoyed the morning at the new house with DH and coffee on the porch though. Went out to run errands and get some yard working supplies. Took the pup to the local arts and crafts fair. Came home and had a light lunch of leftovers and walked. Took back my bird watching shed from the rhododendron that was trying to eat it and did some weeding. Shook out the rugs and brought them all in. DH took me out for ice cream at our new local farm! Pup got one too and we watched the cows in the field. Home for dinner (we ate backwards ) and DH cooked chicken quesadillas while I made some more progress on Laundry and closets. Can't believe what we accomplished in one weekend. Plenty of house projects to keep us busy like that for the next 30 years!
8/20 - Monday - 189.0* - Need to bring my scale to the house! Getting back to a routine, or trying to atleast! Lots of projects going on! Happy to be maintaining!
8/21 - Tuesday - 188.0* - Yesterday was another really busy evening with house chores. Things NEEDED to get done last night so dinner was late. We still found some time to relax and reconnect and make sure we are still on the same page and happy. We had a chicken Cesar salad for dinner around 9:30 and it hit the spot. I realized that I've been a bit panicked the past few days. We just changed our lives 100% and I'm scared and nervous and stumbling my way thru things right now. But this is how I grow. I know that stepping out of my comfort zone means heeby jeebies - but it also means huge opportunities for a brighter future. Here's to being brave and being better every day!
8/22 - Wednesday - 186.5* - Forgot my scale AGAIN yesterday. Womp womp. I would consider just sticking with the scale I've been using but the 1/2 lb increments kind of drive me nuts. So, I'll use it for now and readjust when I switch back to my old one. I told DH how scared I was about everything last night. It felt good to just let it all out. He kindly reminded me that a healthy fear is good - it means you're striving for something better. He also shared his fears and we were able to build each other back up. So I'm feeling a bit rejuvenated today. DH cooked sausage pepper and onion sandwiches for dinner. TOM finally arrived this morning. Thinking of starting to track basal temps and such to see if I can track ovulation and get a little more familiar with my body before we start ttc. Got a consignment couch for the interim until we decide what we want for furniture - and got the cable set up and finally hung out in the living room last night. Have to finish moving the last things from the apartment and clean it this weekend so lots more physical activity coming up! I've been sleeping really well at the new place, whether I'm exhausted or it's very calming I'm not sure yet but I'll take it!
8/23 - Friday! - 185.5* - Planned to have BIL over last night, after he rescheduled from Tuesday. Moved schedule around only to be blown off at the 11th hour, again. Grrrr. Learning to LET IT GO. A blessing in disguise perhaps, anyway? Was going to order out, but went to the grocery store after weeding away my frustrations. Still eating a lot of "convenience" foods - some frozen lunch entrees, lots of sandwiches, pasta. But still maintaining that downward trend! Happy to be learning what my balance is. Things will shake out and shape up as we get more settled. Ever reminding myself to trust the process. Final weekend to clean up apartment and lots of outdoor chores at the house - lots of water today to prepare!!!

Forgot to post yesterday. I seem to have found maintenance calories. As much as I would like to be 125 lbs I think I’m going to stick with this weight. Ideal Body Weight for my height is 115 lbs—the formula I’ve seen dieticions use is 100 lbs for 5’0” and 5 lbs for each inch, + or - 10% which would make my range 104 - 126 lbs. I’ve been as low as 114 lbs and that was way too skinny.13 -

Round 50
Round 1 For Me
Start Weight 290
Round 1 Goal 280
Final Goal 190
8/16 290 Day one- Great start, High protein/low carb works for me.
8/17 282.2 - 7.8 lbs Combined first two days fluid loss.
8/18- 280.0 – 2.2 lbs Wow! Reached my round goal aready! Switched off caffine diet soda to clear caffine free soda water. Good day at the gym but its always my toughest to stay with it on a regular basis. I wish I really enjoyed going. Maybe I should take up swing dancing! Yeah right!! One day at a time...... So far all is good.
8/19- 280.0 – 0.0 lbs Well not unexpected to have no loss after such a big drop over the past few days. Staying under my calorie and carb count. Going to my grandsons birthday party this afternoon and taking my subway chicken salad and 0 cal dressing with me to stay with it. NO EXCUSES!
8/20- 280.8 +0.8 today. Hmmm.. stayed on track at grandsons birthday party but fluid retention is holding me up. This is typical for me. I seem to do the step down weight loss. (Three days plateau then drop.... repeat). Tomorrow is another day. Have a good week everyone.
8/21- 281.2 +0.4 Well that was disappointing. Stayed well below my calorie and carb limits and still gained for the second day. Yeah I know... fluid.... still its not fun watching the scale go up. Sticking in for the long haul though as I know it will come down again.. usually with a big drop which will make me happy once again. Im always in such a hurry to lose. Something I have to deal with.
8/22 - 279 – 2.2 lbs Yeah! Next step down and into the next decade. Ketosis kicked in this morning. Lots of water again today.
8/23 - 278 – 1.0 lbs Nice! Hunger has really dropped off now and finding it much easier to not think about food. Ketosis is my friend. (Done right) I just have to be sure to drink plenty of water and keep up with my daily vitamins and nutrients. I know in the past when I got into this level I went from the “live to eat” attitude to “eat to live” mode. Good place to be!! Just have to be ready for that plateau when it comes as it always does. Two days to go and already blew right past my challenge goal. So excited!
8/24 - 277.8 -.02 lbs Continuing to move down. Sticking with the program. I expect things to slow down now for a while as I cannot stay on this almost fast of 600 -800 cal a day routine. This is a danger period for me. I have often lost a large amount the first two weeks and then done a “well I deserve a day off” and then never got back on. I cannot take a day off. It's all or nothing for me. I have to be consistant and dedicated to getting to my goal no matter what the daily cirumstances. We will be going on a camping trip next week and its always been a time where I went off “just for the trip” and never got back on again. Thats not going to happen this time. Will see how this all goes in the next challenge round.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Day/Weight/Comment
8/16 - 162.4lbs (I’ll take that )
8/17- 162lbs ( small lost but still a lost trying to stay positive. I hope to be in the 161s tomorrow)
8/18- 160.2lbs I weighed first thing this morning & was so happy to see this number. I was in disbelief & stepped off & on about 5 times no lie just to see the same number appear. But after 20 mins I decided to weigh again just to be sure 🙄 & it read 161.2lbs 😭 so I dont know which one to go by hoping the lower number is correct of course. So if the lower number is correct I’m officially down to pre pregnancy weight. But a huge goal for me will be to get out of the 60s because from grade 10(I think age 15/16) to 22 I been 160 - 165lbs. So it would be amazing to finally see number that’s not in the 60s
8/19- 162lbs😒 hmm I was feeling so disappointed when I saw this number this morning. Earlier today not so good, I ate things I knew I shouldn’t have. But I did manage to stop myself from binge eating. For dinner I’m going to take things light with chicken and some steamed veggies. Hope I’m back down tomorrow.
8/20-162lbs tired of seeing this number getting a bit discouraged to getting at my goal of 158lbs at the end of the round. Hopefully I see progress tomorrow.
8/21- 162lbs hoping for a miracle to get me back on track
8/22- 161.2lbs thank you body 🤗
8/23- 159.4lbs oh my 😭 I honestly didn’t think I would ever see a number out of the 60s. I hope it sticks. Officially in a new decade & it feels good. Thank you Lord. First round & im loving this thread, love how everyone is very supportive & kind. There were days I felt like giving up but because of all of u I know I can’t. Thanks for all the hugs & support everyone.
8/24- 158.8lbs I’m so happy, I’m moving in the right direction. Just need to lose .8 ounces to meet my goal for this round. & only 10lbs away from being in a healthy bmi range.

8/16 165 no changes for the last 6 days, but I also had really good success my first couple of rounds so I'm staying positive :)
8/17 165 I am visiting my family this weekend, hopefully I won't gain. Will not be able to weigh in for the next 2 days.
8/18 Away, not able to weigh. Went over my calorie goal yesterday, I probably will today also. Cookout day, plan to have 1 burger and dessert. No sodas, unless diet.
8/19 Still not able to weigh. Yesterday did not go as planned. Had little over half my burger, 1 hotdog without the bun, and 3 desserts, along with a couple beverages late last night. Got sick from 2 drinks. Not near enough water yesterday either. On a positive note, everyone was talking about how good I looked and now much weight I had lost . So that was nice that the results are starting to show to everyone else also.
8/20 164 Awesome. I'm so happy that I didn't gain from the weekend 😊.
8/21 164 Have 2 birthday celebrations this week- one is today. I plan to get a good workout in.
8/22 164 glad I maintained after that big piece of chocolate cake lol. I asked for a small piece. Wasnt so small. Was homemade, so I just had to eat it all .
8/23 - 163 yayy! I have noticed a huge change in my body since I've started MFP, even though it's only been a short amount of time (on July 18th, this yr). I can't eat or drink things I used to have no problems with, without consequences. My tummy hurt most of the day yesterday, and I know it was from chocolate cake the day before. Same with the beverages I had this past weekend, they really hurt my stomach. I guess it's a good thing though because it's a reminder that I need to keep eating healthy.
8/24 163 my scale plays tricks on me, was 161 a couple of times and jumped back to 163. Who knows lol maybe I'll be down a pound by tomorrow. Happy with the progress either way

Ultimate Goal Weight = 129 lbs (last weighed this in 2011)
Round 50 Goal: to be out of the 150's and into the 140's
Exercise Plan = The Betty Rocker 90 Day Challenge (in weeks 5-6 of 12), run outside 3-4 times a week, get 8,000-10,000 steps/day
Nutrition Plan = Continue to limit gluten, dairy, sugar, diet soda, alcohol & eat non-processed foods, protein/fruit/veg at every meal, complex carbs at breakfast and post workout meal, drink plenty of water.
8/16 = 151.2 (no change from yesterday) Yesterday was a rest day in my 90 day challenge, so I just went for a short run. I ate okay but still low on my calories, I need to get to the grocery store and do some meal prep! I'm missing my daughter, who is still away, but I'm very proud of myself that I have been able to enjoy this alone time and not worry about her like I was afraid I would. It helps that I'm getting daily pictures of her doing fun things and she has a happy, relaxed smile in each one. Today, I've got my day 28 workout to do & I want to get in a short run as well and then lots of house cleaning & laundry to do. I wish everyone a great start to round 50, this is a great challenge to be a part of! "What you do today, can improve all your tomorrows."
8/17 = 151.2 (no change from yesterday) 3rd day in a row at this weight, but I had a big loss last round, so a bit of a slow down is to be expected. I completed the 1st month of my 90 day challenge yesterday and am scheduled to start the 2nd month today but my body is rebelling. It's giving me all the nopes in regards to working out today. I'm going to take today and tomorrow off and start the 2nd month exercises on Sunday. My fitness group that I am a part of has a saying...."all or something", so I am allowing myself to listen to my body and pick this up next week. Have a great weekend everyone!
8/18 = 151.5 (up .3 from yesterday) I spent last night at my sister's & I didn't have my scale with me this morning, so I used hers, so this may or may not be a real "gain". There is no reason for it, so it doesn't bother me. Today was my 2nd rest day and I was still not feeling 100% when I woke up. I finally went to the grocery store and I'm prepped to have my nutrition back on point tomorrow when I re-start up again with my workouts. I'm feeling better after dinner tonight of beef tenderloin, broccoli, and rice, thinking maybe my iron was low. I'm going to start back up with multi-vitamins this week, I've gotten out of the habit and need to better with this.
8/19 = 151.2 (down .3 from yesterday) Back down to this number again, which is fine. I have a big event on Thursday and I just got my dress back from being altered and don't want to lose too much weight this week and have it be too loose. It fits perfectly right now, so I'm okay with maintaining this week if that is what happens. I ate closer to maintenance today but I got in a lot of exercise. Did my day 29 of 90 workout, went for a run, & a long walk.
8/20 = 150.8 (down .4 from yesterday) Scale is moving again! So close to being under 150, but I think that might not happen and stick until the next round. I definitely will go over calories on Thursday night with drinks as well as food and then it will probably take the last 2 days to rebound. I will be mindful of what I eat and drink at this event, but I also am taking it as a "no strings attached" evening. I plan on enjoying myself in a reasonable manner and then getting right back to eating at a deficit the next day. Today is a rest day on my 90 day challenge but I plan on getting a long walk in as I'm in a steps challenge in another group. Have a great start to this new week everyone!
8/21 = 150.1 (down .7 from yesterday) Yesterday was a good day, got in lots of steps for a "rest day" and ate well within my calories. The horrible humidity were were having has stopped, hopefully gone for the rest of the summer and there is a cool breeze which is nice change for August. In other news, my daughter and I met with a new doctor yesterday to work on a new protocol for her anxiety and OCD medication and I really liked him, which is such a relief. There is so much stress in my life, parenting her through this, but taking care of myself and making my health and well-being a priority, makes it all so much more manageable. We will switch her over to the new medication on Saturday, hoping it will be seamless and a non-event. "Today is my tomorrow. It's up to me to shape it, to take control, and seize every opportunity. The power is in the choices I make each day. I eat well. I live well. I shape me."
8/22 = 149.7 (down .4 from yesterday) I'm under 150!!! Last time I weighed this low was 2 years ago, very happy to see this number Hope I can make it stick for the end of the round, but if it bumps up a little, it will for sure by the next round. Yesterday I did my day 31 of 90 exercises: Squat Thrusts, Low Push Slide, Reverse Dragon Lunge with High Kick, Active Bicycles, Cross Body Mountain Climbers, Skinny Sumo, & Single Leg Bridge Lift and went for a 2 mile walk. Today is a yoga day and will try for a walk but it is a little drizzly. I took my 1 month progress photos for the 90 day challenge yesterday and yes, changes are happening! Definitely a noticeable reduction in my mid-section, Yay for progress!
8/23 = 149.3 (down .4 from yesterday) Super busy day yesterday but somehow not a lot of steps. I didn't get my workout in because I kept prioritizing other things ahead of it. Lesson learned get it in earlier than later. I finally finished everything I had to do and it was 9 p.m. and I hadn't worked out or had dinner. I chose to have dinner and call it a night. By calling it a night, I mean get in bed with a glass of wine and watch the Real Housewives of NY reunion show. Yes, I skipped yoga for the Real Housewives, sorry not sorry Saturday is a scheduled rest day, so I'm just going to swap that around with yesterday so as too not get behind on my challenge. I have my black tie event tonight and while I'm not totally crazy in love with my gown, I am happy with how I look in it. 2 months ago I would've skipped this event because of how I looked back then. So glad I started this journey to make these changes both inside and out. "It's not just the weight you lose, but the life you gain."
8/24 = 149.9 (up .6 from yesterday) I'll take this number and be happy with it. Super pleased to still be under 150 as I have no idea what my calories were yesterday. I don't think I was too over in calories with the food at the party but way too many adult beverages. Drinking lots of water today and have a good, sweaty workout on the schedule. One more day to go friends, let's all finish the round strong!

Still hurting, but I'm excited to see the doctor in integrative medicine this morning and, hopefully, get a non-prednisone handle on this pain. Happy to be below 145 to start this round!
8/17 - 143 - 966 - 10-day ave 1151
I was stunned to see this number this morning! It's the lowest I've been in probably 3 decades (though I was just slightly more 2 years ago, before I did a metabolism reset). I don't know that it will stick -- my calories were artificially low yesterday as I had to fast 12 hours for early morning blood work -- but still!!! It's a rainy Friday here, but I'm hurting slightly less and feeling much more hopeful after seeing the integrative doctor yesterday. I'm hoping to work on my home (only!) office today and then shop for a standing (adjustable) desk -- I'm finally feeling like getting back to work on my next book. Have a lovely weekend, all!
8/18 - 143.2 - 1435 - 10-day ave 1168
Happy Saturday! The first flower is blooming on my new climbing rose - I'll take that as a happy omen. And although my stated goal for this round is to maintain, with any loss a bonus, I'm secretly hoping to hit 142 by the end. But I am adding some calories - I've been a bit too low. Macros have been good, though.
8/19 - 143.2 - 1189 - 10-day ave 1185
Looking forward to a beautiful Sunday. I hope yours is lovely!
8/20 - 143.4 - 1359 - 10-day ave 1213
My actual weight is dancing around a bit, but my moving average is steadily dropping -- it's now 143.1. Yay! At least something worthwhile has come of my medical misadventure. One of the things I'm now doing religiously (rather than haphazardly like before) is to practice daily stress-control, including mediation, listening to music that lifts me up, and reading/listening to VERY little news. Oh, and cuddling my lovely Lily helps a lot. She would even let me chew her bone if I wanted to.
8/21 - 143.2 - 1413 - 10-day ave 1253
I'm starting on an extra strength dose of curcumin today per my new doctor (since I have declined to take prednisone, at least for now). Hoping it brings down the inflammation & pain. (I'm using Terry's Naturally brand Curamin Extra Strength.) Anyone have experience with it? I'll say one thing - I'm glad don't still have those extra 75 pounds weighing on my sore joints. If you're aiming to lose significant weight, keep at it - the result are worth the effort on so many levels!
8/22 - 143 - 1099 - 10-day ave 1244
The rain has stopped and it promises to be a gorgeous day - I'm having lunch with a friend (Panera Bread - friendly to my plan) and then planning a nice walk. I may go to the zoo this evening - only a couple more weeks of their evening hours so I want to make the most of it.
8/23 - 143 - 1039 - 10-day ave 1214
I had a soba bowl and apple for lunch and a pear, 2 dried figs, & 2 dried apricots around 3 and wasn't hungry again, but I ate some peanutbutter around 9 so my calories wouldn't be 800 something I'm not crazy about cals in the 1000s, either, but sometimes I'm just full. Must be all the fiber in the extra veggies!
8/24 - 142.2 - 1164 - 10-day ave 1213
Whoa - I expected a drop, but not this much. I'll take it! This is the lowest I've been in decades, and it's been well worth the ups & downs of the journey. The biggest differences in what I'm eating now on the anti-inflammatory diet vs. what I was eating are nothing made with flour (thought I do eat whole grains), almost no dairy (I do have a little kefir in the morning), and no beef or pork. I'm also not pain free (yet), but feel considerably better without NSAIDs since I started taking Curamin on Monday. Feeling optimistic about killing this "thing" without prednisone. I'm looking forward to a nice weekend - lunch today with a friend, quiet evening, UU women's retreat tomorrow afternoon, and a quiet Sunday. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

•8/24 - 183.4 - Early weigh in - I'm beginning to feel excited! I am so close to my 10lb goal of 183 (set with MFP) and 70lbs lost total. Now, I feel comfortable with updating my MFP progress to 184lbs.
Yay Tish! Even if you don't hit it to end this round, you will early in the next - and the little ups or stay-puts don't matter in the long haul. As my DH likes to remind me about losing 70+ lbs, you & I were each carrying a Labrador Retriever around! Personally, I'd rather she walk on her own 4 feet. Anyway, once again, yay you!10 -

8/17: 163.2 - I had a good day yesterday until nighttime came and ate ice cream. Still under calories but need to stay away from it.
8/18: 163.1 - I got all my exercise in and ate well.
8/19: 165 - UGH!! I waited up for my teenage daughter to come home and ate mini Milky Ways to stay awake. Then I couldn't get to sleep so I ate bread and butter. Hopefully this is only a one day thing. Got lots of exercise today!
8/20: 163.5 - Going back to where I started but at least it came right back off. Logging and exercising today. We will see what tomorrow brings.
8/21: 163.5
8/22: 163.0 - I'm happy with this. Exercised and watched what I ate and it paid off.
8/23: 162.7 - Met my goals and it seems to be working....
8/24: 162.5 - Walked 10 miles yesterday. Hope to get below 160 soon.

8/16 - 182.6 - Fairly healthy day yesterday. Jonah requested burgers for supper so had cucumber slices and Pringles with it instead of fries.
8/17 - 182.4 - Good day again yesterday. Sure missing my walks because of the smoke in the air.
8/18 - 183.0 - well I wish we could just forget yesterday happened, but there is no honesty and accountability in that. I overate yesterday and made poor choices all day. I was tired from a sleepless night and craved so much junk. Even as I ordered both lunch and supper I was arguing with myself. Then I couldn’t force myself to exercise much even after paying to go swim. Oh well, today is a new day and I’m rested, lots to do today so that should help burn some off.
8/19 - 183.0 much better day yesterday, it will still be two or three days before I see the end of Friday’s debacle though.
8/20 - 184.0 Leftover from Friday, yesterday was pretty good.
8/21- The scale was teasing me this morning, the first time I stepped on it said 177! I thought this can't be right and stepped on again. It was 184.0, then again it was 183.2. So I'm not really sure what to put, maybe it needs new batteries? Had a fairly healthy day yesterday at least.
8/22 - 183.6 - This is not moving in the right direction this round at all! Have to be good for the next couple of days.
8/23 - 183.2 - had a very high calorie lunch yesterday but was able to turn it around and ended up in the green.
8/24 - 183.4 - I am struggling with wanting all the bad choices this week. Managing to get into the green each day, but high carbs linger on the scale for me for a few days.

Round 50 (#14)
I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. This round I've decided to set one goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list.#37: 142.6 - 137.4 = -5.2
#38: 137.4 - 136.8 = -0.6
#39: 136.8 - 136.2 = -0.6
#40: 136.2 - 135.0 = -1.2
#41: 135.0 - 133.6 = -1.4
#42: 133.6 - 134.2 = +0.6
#43: 134.2 - 133.4 = -0.8
#44: 133.4 - 132.4 = -1.0 Body fat 28.0% acceptable range
#45: 132.4 - 132.6 = +0.2
#46: 132.6 - 133.0 = +0.4
#47: 133.0 - 134.8 = +1.8
#48: 134.8 - 137.2 = +2.4
#49: 137.2 - 136.0 = -1.2
8/16: 136.0, 3rd consecutive day of late night binging. Dang, I’m exhausted! Living alone makes this too easy.
8/17: 134.8, yet again... no binging (yay)
8/18: 138.4 Thai for dinner.
8/19: 136.2
8/20: 139.0, restaurant breakfast = almost 1000 calories. Ridiculous.
8/21: 138.2, still not binging, but consumed too many calories.
8/22: 136.4, restaurant food hangover, be gone already. Geez
8/23: 135.6, better…
8/24: 137.6, al pastor street tacos and beer are not helping15
