8/26: 291.4
8/27: 293.4 we ate at a hibachi grill for munchkin's birthday.
8/28: 293.0 uhhhhhhh shouldnt sodium be gone? Hmm.
8/29: 292.6 grrrr. We've been laying new flooring and ripping up carpet since Monday and I'm so sore.
8/30: 293.6 more carpet ripping. I'm gonna say it's just the soreness/swelling causing me to hold on to water.

1988 high school graduation 185-190lbs
weight on 1/29/18 = 234.5
Round 51 – goal = go 24 hours without adult beverages and see what scale has to say
8/26 – to much work to do. And still very sore from laying tile yesterday.
8/27 – 197lbs – up 4 pounds from normal. Worked way to hard this weekend on bathroom remodeling. I am sore, tired, and ready for this project to be over with.
8/28 = 195lbs - not quite as sore today, project is nearly done. Ate 2 half pound burgers with ham, bacon, and all the fixings last night along with my typical beverage. Should have gained but somehow, I am down a little. Yippee
8/29 – 196lbs – poor eating is catching up with me. I won’t get to scared till I see something over 199. That is when I go crazy.
8/30 – 192lbs – went just a little crazy yesterday and had a low food calorie day. This is just an empty stomach. Yes, I eat 4-5 pounds of food on a normal day. Yesterday I only had a pound and a half.

Here I am again -- jumping in in the middle, and not having finished posting in the last challenge! These end of summer days have been so packed -- especially since I'm back at work (college prof) and there have been lots of changes to keep up with -- even so, I'll try to post daily for the rest of this challenge!
I think when I left off last round I was around 126.5 or so -- and I've sort of maintained that, but like I said in the last couple of rounds, I had gotten down as low as 120, and I want to get there again (or even a little lower!) It's not much, but that five pounds does make a difference.
I am happily (SO HAPPY) in the 120's though -- I started MFP for real in Aug. 2016 at 152 -- but I've been as high as 195 (it may even have been 198, so should we just all settle on 200?? LOL!) So to be this old and be in the 120's is truly an accomplishment for me.
Oh, last thing to know -- I do power yoga -- Baptiste studio -- its done in 92 degrees, and we sweat and I'm addicted. I can move!! I can plank. I can side plank! We (my hubbie and me) bike, hike, and walk and play with our new puppy -- and it's all great. Keep moving!
Let's see how I can do this round. I love reading everyone's goals and accomplishments.

8/28 185.4 Lifted this AM and then ran/walked a mile. Date night tonight.. trying to figure out a good meal to stay within my calories feels challenging. Drinking a big glass of water before we go. Trying not to focus on the number, just getting in the groove of checking in.
8/29 185.8 Date night didn't happen due to kiddo getting injured during dance class so we ate healthy and had a couple of cocktails after she went to bed. Calorie-wise ended up being better I suppose. Getting ready to plan my food for the day. Ready to see a good downward trend get started!
8/30 185.8 A bit surprised the scale isn't budging still. Maybe tomorrow. Last night I wanted to have a cocktail but didn't, had a 1/2 a protein shake instead. Still stayed w/in my calories. Food is planned for today. Now just to stick to it, and drink my water as well!

Well technically I was under calories yesterday but I don't have a scale and the dinner last night had lots of naturally 'sweet' seasonings so I suspect my calculations were wrong. I guess worth it? I didn't eat that much, just enough to be 'full' much much less than I would have a month ago. And at least I didn't GAIN. But no loss is depressing. Just had to try this recipe a friend shared, of a honey/pineapple marinade with grilled chicken and pineapple and peppers and it WAS delicious. On the bright side, controlling my portions means there are leftovers to send off to work with my daughter, as opposed to me grabbing second helpings.

Round 51
Start Weight 277
Goal Weight 274
Final Goal 190
8/26 - 276.5 lbs (-.05) lbs Good start again. Had some fajita chicken smothered in garlic butter sauce last night and thought I would hold or gain water. Nice to see neither happened.
8/27 - 276.5 lbs (No Change) Not unexpected after so many days of good losses. Staying under calorie and carb limits. Last round I was well under those limits. Easing up a bit this round but still expecting to reach my goal for round 51.
8/28 - 274.5lbs (-2.0) lbs Well that was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting that much of a loss but I'll take it. Staying on a routine has been good for my weight loss program. I am leaving tomorrow for a week visit to family in Houston and thats going to make it hard to stay on my routine. I will do the best I can and since after tomorrow I can't weigh in each day till I get back on the fourth I will update how the routine is or is not going. Hang tough everyone. It's getting done!
8/29 – 274.0 (-0.5) lbs Round 51 Goal Reached!! Perfect timing as we are off to Houston later this morning for a visit with family. We will be gone until next Monday so no weigh in until then but will be posting daily updates on how the routine is (or is not) going. I have been doing a lot of Subway salad meals for dinner and that seems to be just filling enough while keeping the carb intake in check. Good to know I can find a Subway most anywhere today. Helpful to stay in focus and on track.
8/30 -No scale- First day out on our trip and went to Golden Corral all you can eat restaurant for dinner. Do I need to say more? Disaster! Glad I have a few more days to get out of this one.

Round 45 End Weight = 164.9 (0.9 lbs lost)
Round 46 End Weight = 159.6 (5.2 lbs lost)
Round 47 End Weight = 157.2 (2.4 lbs lost)
Round 48 End Weight = 155.2 (2.0 lbs lost)
Round 49 End Weight = 151.2 (4.0 lbs lost)
Round 50 End Weight = 149.9 (1.3 lbs lost)
Stats = 5'4 female, age 48
Highest Weight = 172 lbs
Initial Goal Weight = 139 lbs (last weighed this is 2013)
Ultimate Goal Weight = 129 lbs (last weighed this in 2011)
Round 50 Goal: Anything under 149.0
Exercise Plan = The Betty Rocker 90 Day Challenge (in weeks 6-7 of 12), run outside 3-4 times a week, get 8,000-10,000 steps/day
Nutrition Plan = Continue to limit gluten, dairy, sugar, diet soda, alcohol & eat non-processed foods, protein/fruit/veg at every meal, complex carbs at breakfast and post workout meal, drink plenty of water.
8/26 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) My sleep and nutrition are struggling, those go hand in hand. I've not going enough sleep since Wednesday of last week and my nutrition choices are suffering for it. I haven't been going over calories, just not make the best choices. I plan to grocery shop and do some meal prep today and get this under control. I completed day 35 of my 90 day challenge exercises yesterday, so it is the start of week 6 exercises on the plan today. School starts back here this Thursday and I'm really looking forward to it for selfish reasons. As soon as my daughter gets on the bus, I have time in the mornings before work to be able to get a quick run in or go for a walk. Summers are hard for me getting my runs in because even though she is 12, I can't leave her home alone even for a quick run and my husband is rarely home due to work. Wishing everyone a great start to Round 51!
8/27 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) This seems to be a pattern the last couple of rounds, sticking at a certain weight for a couple of days at the beginning. No worries here Yesterday was a great exercise day, went for a 2 mile run, a 2 mile walk and did day 36 of 90: Body Squat to Knee Lift Crunch, Inchworms, Side Lunge to Front Lunge, Supermans with Alternating Extensions, Wall Hold Ups, Ninja Side Kicks, & Get Ups. My run felt really strong yesterday, I could feel new strength in my quads when I hit some hills. As a "recovering" distance runner, it has taken a while to settle in to doing these short runs instead but I am re-discovering my love of running in the process. It is much easier to love something that is making your body feel stronger compared to distance running which had evolved into something that was just taking a toll on my body with injuries. "Run often, run long, but never outrun your joy of running."
8/28 = 149.9 (no change from yesterday) So still holding at this number...Yesterday was a rest day in my exercise challenge and I ate closer to maintenance for calories. I am predicting the scale will drop tomorrow Today, I have day 38 of 90 exercises and I plan to get a walk in as well. I also took my measurements this morning. When I 1st started, I was taking these every 5 days, but have dropped to taking every week/week & half. I looked back to my start measurements on 6/14 and WOW! I have lost 5.5 inches on my waist & 6.5 inches on my bust. My measurements have decreased all over but those are the 2 biggest changes. Feeling very inspired now, if you haven't already done this, start now, take your measurements!
8/29 = 149.9 (6th day at this weight) Well, let's officially call it, I'm at a plateau. I feel like there is nothing left to do but ride this out, I'm doing everything I need to do to lose weight, so just going to let nature take it's course. The scale will drop eventually, I have plenty of weight left to lose. I'm in a okay mindset about this, so all is good here. The awful heat and humidity returned here this week, they are even delaying school openings today in some nearby cities but thankfully today should be the last day of it. My daughter starts school tomorrow, 7th grade! I can't believe it, really hoping for a great year for her. Last year was very difficult for her academically, socially, & emotionally. But she seems to be excited for school to start, has a small group of good friends now, and she got a advisor that she really likes, so all signs point to a good start. And with the start of school tomorrow, so ends my summer sleep-ins. We'll be up 1 &1/2 hours earlier, ACK! So that means an earlier weigh-in time too, interested to see what happens on the scale tomorrow. Stay strong everyone! "Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't do."
8/30 = 150.4 (up .5 from yesterday) Earlier weigh-in time, I thought the scale would be a little higher and it was. But here's the thing, our weight fluctuates all day long, the number we see and choose to accept for that day is just a glimpse of where we are in our daily weight range. I track my weight with a trending report and today's trending average is 151.18, if I'm under that then I'm technically in a downward trend (i.e. losing weight). And I'm under that, so calling it a success. Sometimes, I see people post that they couldn't weigh-in everyday because they "couldn't face the scale" that often or it would make them too obsessed with the numbers but I think in actuality what weighing-in everyday does is make you understand that fluctuations happen and that a number is a number, it does not define your progress or your efforts. This week I decided to try on clothes that I have not worn since I was about 144 pounds, even though I weigh about 5 pounds more that that currently. They all fit. So I decided to try on clothes that I have not worn since I was in the 130's and guess what, they fit too! Bodies change and hold weight differently, especially as we age but also as our diets and exercise habits change. I'm as slim now at this weight as I was when I was 15 pounds "thinner". Anyway, those are my thoughts for the day, but don't get me wrong...I would still really like the scale to show a loss soon And I know that it will.

Round 5 for me
SW:215lbs
UGW: 140lbs
Aims for this round - to exercise at least 5 out of the 10 days and to lose at least another 2lbs. My new mini goal is190lbs but I don't intend to lose it quickly as I'd rather lose it slowly so it stays off. So I'll aim for 195-194 for this round.
Good luck everyone
8/26 197.7- 1lb up from yesterday - not making the right choices with food. I used to keep a food diary and think I need to go back to this to see where I'm going wrong. No workout / lazy day.
8/27 198- 0.3 up on yesterday's weight... hopefully I'll start to go down now, as this usually the pattern ( I hope)
8/28 198- no change - better than going up!! Planning to go swimming tomorrow, as I say need to start moving and by telling my daughter she will nag me until we go.
8/29 198- again no change- went swimming, which was great..planning to do a dancing routine ( not sure which one yet).. trying to find an exercise that I enjoy and will fit in with work when I start back next week, so I can kick this number out the window. Used the MFP diary today.
8/30 196lbs - down 2lbs - I think that I wasn't eating enough and my body was holding onto fat as it thought it was staving ( I wasn't hungry). I've come to this conclusion because I ate more yesterday and the weight has started to drop again. I also upped my level of water to 3.5 litres and exercised. I will continue to track my meals and see what happens today. I'm not expecting another drop tomorrow, but I'm hoping to maintain this weight (that would be good).

•8/28 - 182 - And yes, still with the fluid retention, steadily coming down and the weight with it. I've never experienced this before. Today I'll update my MFP progress again to my Round 50 end weight.

8/27 174.0/I'm happy to be starting off another round with a loss. At the beginning it was difficult to see the forest through the trees as my weight doesn't decrease very much throughout each 10 day period, but my SW is decreasing over time. My goal for this challenge is to get down to the 171's or to start the next challenge in the 171's. I want to move beyond this decade. I have a trip planned in a little less than a month and would love to lose 8 pounds by then.
8/28 173.6/ Great! I didn’t drink enough water yesterday, but managed to stay pretty close to my calorie goal. It will be about 100 degrees F here today, so I will be drinking plenty of water.
8/29 173.8/ I’m happy to be staying below 174 for a few days in a row, I’m hopeful for a big loss this round. I know that I won’t hit the goal I was hoping for by September 15th but I’d like to be out of this decade.
8/30 173.6/ I had a doctor’s appointment this morning and the nurse congratulated me on losing weight since the last time I had been in the office. My weigh-in is tomorrow, I’m hoping to dip below the 173’s.

Round 51 (My 5th round)
8/26 162 woohoo! Going to try and be good today, another birthday celebration. We are having taco salad and I know there will be cake!
8/27 161 yayy! I ate under my goal yesterday, but I skipped dinner since I had a big lunch I wasnt hungry.
8/28 161
8/29 161 still doing well not going over my calorie range, but having more days where I'm not eating enough and I can't close out my diary. Going to try and get to the grocery store today to get some more fruits/veggies, so I can snack on those on days when I need the extra calories. I'm happy that I'm getting full quicker though, that's a plus. A couple months ago I wanted to eat everything in the house!
8/30 160.5 We were invited to a friends house for swimming and dinner today, so this number might go up tomorrow. The husband makes the BEST wine! I'm sure I'll be having a glass or two. Gonna try and get a good workout in today.

Round 51 (#15)
I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. Challenge goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list.#37: 142.6 - 137.4 = -5.2
#38: 137.4 - 136.8 = -0.6
#39: 136.8 - 136.2 = -0.6
#40: 136.2 - 135.0 = -1.2
#41: 135.0 - 133.6 = -1.4
#42: 133.6 - 134.2 = +0.6
#43: 134.2 - 133.4 = -0.8
#44: 133.4 - 132.4 = -1.0 Body fat 28.0% acceptable range
#45: 132.4 - 132.6 = +0.2
#46: 132.6 - 133.0 = +0.4
#47: 133.0 - 134.8 = +1.8
#48: 134.8 - 137.2 = +2.4
#49: 137.2 - 136.0 = -1.2
#50: 136.0 - 135.4 = -0.6
8/26: 135.4, late dinner
8/27: 135.4, another late dinner
8/28: 134.6, picnic date with beer, spicy pan fried coconut chicken breast cutlets (Paleo and Keto friendly), roasted gold potatoes, red bell pepper, shallots, rosemary and hot Hatch chili (low cal and lower fat), and a salad of spinach, figs, strawberries, tomatoes, and raw almonds tossed with a tart vinaigrette (Paleo and low cal).
I love to cook and find it very rewarding to create dishes that are tasty and fit into most eating plans. My date leans more towards Paleo which is fine with me. The roasted potato dish was 1/3 vegetables and helped round out the meal to prevent overeating.
8/29: 134.6
8/30: 136.0, late dinner with too many calories. No junk food, just too much. I’m never really satisfied with any meal, no matter how amazing it may be. I’m beginning to think I have a problem with the hormones responsible for satiety.
I have a date tomorrow afternoon so I'm doing an intermittent fast of 20-24 hours. No calories after lunch and fast until lunch tomorrow. I find this tool effective when I do this once in a while. Too often leads to binging.9 -
