"As soon as you stop looking she'll come walking through that door!"
I hope not. . my house is a disaster.5 -
"You'll be alright."
My husband says this to me all the time, and the way he says it is more like 'get over it' than it is sympathetic. I want to slap him in the mouth every time he says it... (Ok, not really, but it does majorly irk me.)1 -

Don't think of it as a problem, think of it as a challenge to be overcome.2

Why? When I ignore my problems they magically disappear.
Happiness is paying attention to the 90% of life that is going well, and not the 10% that is upsetting you. Because it is rare that all spheres of life are perfect at any given time. If you are always focused on fixing your problems, you won't have any time to enjoy the solutions to the other things you've figured out.
Ignoring problems is actually a good life strategy in SOME ways. If you can't change the problem, then focusing on it is just going to make you miserable.
Ignoring other problems can make them worse, however. It takes wisdom to figure out what to address and what to ignore.

"You can't love somebody else until you love yourself."
I've always hated this statement. I really have never liked myself much at all, but I have loved and cared about many people above myself.2 -

I think the more accurate version would be “you can’t expect people to love you if you won’t even love yourself”
I find that to be more accurate3 -

Oh, yes, only eat caveman foods, nothing so PROCESSED as bread, and also buy the specific brand whey protein powder. Because cavemen loved their powdered protein shakes.
(Strong sarcasm, in case anyone didn't notice.)
