2) I'm ENGAGED!!!! Did I say that loud enough? Lol.
3) I love trains (steam or diesel or whatever carries passengers except public transit) and he caught this statement a few months ago so he surprised me with my first train ride (diesel, steam was out of service) this past weekend. To my lovely surprise, this train ride included a proposal! Of course, I said YES! I'm ecstatic!
4) Talk about even more of an incentive! I'm more excited than ever to fit 'properly' into a wedding dress. We will have a courthouse wedding (and I am wearing a wedding dress) then a big event some time later down the road.
Congratulations on your engagement. What a romantic way to propose! I'm sure you are going to look stunning in that wedding dress.5 -

Woo!!!!! I lost more than 2 lbs this month. I'm ecstatic for this feat!
I'm glad that I have been eating a little less. I've been cutting back a bit on how much bad snacking I do - chips, pretzels, cookies, etc. And I visit the vending machine a little less and it's right down the hall from my office.
I have not really been doing strenuous exercising - only walking and biking. I'm extremely happy about this weight loss because if I keep this up then I can reach my goal by April 2019. I most certainly want to look my best for myself, fiance, and my family.

Last week I had only lost 3.4 pounds and I thought there was no way I would lose five pounds for this month, but I wasn't going to give up. Not only did I hit the five pound mark but I hit the six pound mark. I'm so glad I did this challenge and I'm actually sad it's ending lol. But theses always October.7 -

(Last week): 9/21/18: 146 - made it back to my September starting weight.
9/28/18: 144.2 - down 1.8 lbs!
So overall for this month, I lost 1.8 lbs overall. But if I include the weight loss from the gains, it's 4.0 lbs. I am just glad to be below 145. I haven't been at this weight in over 8 years. : ) 5 more lbs to go before I reach my intermediate goal of 140. Long-term goal is to see if I can comfortable get down to and stay at 120.

9/22 249.8 I am not totally surprised with only down a pound. More of the reason! Starting this week I have really increased physical activity. Now cycling three times a week (indoor recumbent bike). resistance, time, distance and speed. Plus mall walking twice a week. Considering when I started in May 2018 I could not walk a half block.

Total loss for September :- 9.6 lbs Kicked butt this month! Helped having 5 Saturday weigh ins.
PS I know others have said it as well, but if you are not using a food scale to weigh everything you eat. I am telling you that food scale is priceless in assisting me, so I know exactly how much I am eating, for calories, carbs, fat, protein so I stay on track.4 -

September 29 - 147.8 ... I dropped back into the very top of my maintenance range four of seven days this week. I plan to get back to the middle of the range or lower as I was in July and August. It feels good to at least be back below the ceiling.

Total loss for September: 0.8 pounds. Certainly not where I wanted to be at the end of the month, but WAY better than a continued increase!
After being in maintenance and recomposition for a couple months, I started a small but steady increase. After realizing it wasn't just a "normal" fluctuation, I spent September getting back down just a bit. I may end up adjusting my goal range up or at least expanding it to more than seven pounds, but I'm sure glad I caught this before it was a MAJOR increase.
I am still participating in monthly maintenance challenges, like this one, but until I'm solidly steady back in the middle or bottom my goal range for a while, I'll also be in weight loss mode.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
Well I was on my way to a small loss, and then the scale decided to push back. My eating has been erratic this week, I did well for the first part of the week, then the office potluck and dinner at a restaurant with friends on the same day, and snacks at a concert the next day... and then my daughter dropped in by surprise for a visit (a rare occurrence) and that meant lunch out... so the results are not unexpected.
I'd rather take a zero gain/loss and enjoy some time with friends and family.
Onward into October. Still good weather here in the South to do lots of outdoor stuff. We haven't been out and about as much the last few weeks but I'm eager to get back into my regular routine.
Highest weight ever: 254 in October 1999.
Lowest since 1999: 195.
Original starting weight: 243 in 2015.
MFP Starting weight December 25th, 2016: 233
Goal: 180 in however long it takes.

August 20th to August 26th: 200.3
September 1st - 10th - Vacation. No scale, are way too much!
