My boys are 14 and 17. They'd be shown the error of their ways VERY quickly if they called me stupid or said other that 'thank you' for a gesture of (assumed) kindness. I was going to say immaturity is at play here but really can't based on that.
Lots of assumptions being made, though. I've learned to never take a functional relationship for granted.
So it stands to reason neither of your kids will show up starting a thread like this... short mother yes, stupid mother no.

I've decided being short is ok, since the trade-off is apparently small feet and the ability to wear cute shoes. I have tall people to fetch things for me

Fair point. I've found a person's true nature and opinions generally shine through. Not saying my kids are perfect little angels, but I'd be willing to put money on the fact they aren't disrespecting me behind my back. For one thing, they know what their father would do to them if he found out.
ETA To be clear I'm talking a complete loss of social life and electronics, and lots of time devoted to various physical tasks of our choice around the house. Nothing requiring a CPS visit.6 -
Honestly, "my stupid mom" sounds like me and my girlfriends in junior high, hanging out in one of our bedrooms and complaining about our parents. Like "My stupid mom won't let me go to the movies Friday just because I didn't clean my room like she told me. I hate her!" Which is 1. Nothing any of us would have said to anyone else ever (let alone our parents), and 2. over-the-top adolescent drama over trivia because we hadn't yet run into real adult-type issues.22

I honestly don't recall my friends ever talking about their parents that way, and I certainly didn't (but I'll admit my teenage years were a bit different due to my mom dying when I was 13).10 -
I really would have expected this thread to help with that one. Perhaps OP needs to eat a bag of pepperoni. That would have me spending the day regretting my decision, but thankful for the final outcome.5 -

I think you need *AT LEAST* two. if not three. Actually, in your case, I know of a light cake that Whole Foods makes and it is only like 400 Calories... just the right thing for pre-half-marathon

My phone is not playing nicely with a picture, but let’s just say that I’m pretty sure my glycogen is now refilled.5 -
