OK, total newbie here, to both MFP and "dieting".
43 yo female. 5'5"
SW (as of last night) 209.2
Didn't plan on any of this lately, but I just kinda started eating better on a whim and...here I am. I've lost about 13 pounds in the last 3 weeks or so. I've been cutting out sugary snacks, watching carbs, eating "better" carbs, and increasing protein. I'm not following anything in particular, just eating better in general. Kinda doing an intermittent fasting thing too? I don't want to set myself up for failure, which is why I'm just keeping up with what's been working and not labeling it.
I've been walking almost daily too. I try to aim for 10,000 steps, at least. I have workouts in those steps at least 4-5 times a day, of course. I actually hit 18,000 steps last Sunday. Yay!!!
Basically, I'm a work in progress and still in the early stages. I'm hoping joining this will help me stick to it and remain accountable!!! I got this though!!! Good luck everyone! Keep on kicking butt!

10/05 71kg. New round new determination. Fell off the waggon a bit the last round, but went for a short run this morning. However, the excuses for emotional eating won't stop: It looks like we'll have to put down our 6months old kitten. She's in hospital now and they can't figure out what is wrong with her, none of the tests have shown anything conclusive so far.

First, let me say that I hate that this program won’t remember a “reply” from one page to the next. I had made several comments today and have lost them. Among them were - a welcome to “newbies” and a welcome back to returners; a thank you to @deepwoodslady for her kind words. I try to be helpful and hope people don’t consider me pushy but honestly, sometimes I want to reach through the internet and whack some in the head! LOL Another comment was to Tish, @tiabirdie56 I saw the picture of your beautiful flowers and assumed they are for Breast Cancer Awareness but seem to have missed exactly what the wall is.6

10/05 - Friday - 180.8 - Carb monster last night! But I'm learning how to satisfy my cravings without sabotaging my health. So I had just one serving and all was good! Friends coming down this weekend - next weekend is my birthday soooo if I could just see 170 something this round I'd be ecstatic!

10/14 - Birthday!6 -
Good morning all, hope I'm doing this right, it's my first day. I haven't weighed in a while, but surprisingly my weight was right where I thought it would be. I guess I know my body pretty well! My goals for these next 10 days is to 1) avoid late night snacking, 2) exercise at least 7 days, and 3) lose 2 pounds.
Exercise for today: I'm going to hit the gym for a treadmill + strength workout! I haven't hit the gym in a loooong time- it's been beautiful weather here so I've been exercising outdoors for the past few months. Today is rainy though, so I'm actually looking forward to exercising indoors. Have a good day, everyone!

My girlfriend is holding a breast cancer event at her church and wanted a flower wall as a photo backdrop for attendees. We couldn't find or afford
enough pink silk flowers to make it, so I made the paper flowers to fill the perimeter. I will take a photo of the completed backdrop and post it on our thread. I think it's going to be really pretty.

10/05 – 171.2 lbs Been very slow after the huge losses I had in my last three rounds. Went to the gym today and had a really good workout with my physical therapist. I work out 3 times a week now, and this feels like the perfect amount of workouts for me now. Been having a lot of issues with the mobile app lately, so I haven't been tempted to struggle with forum posts everyday. So slow and it's crashing all the time Been logging everyday and staying under my calorie goal since the last time I was participating in this challenge. I have been weighing once a week, was kinda nice to have a break from the daily weigh-ins. I have also chosen to open my diary to friends to hold my self accountable.

I weigh everyday anyway but only track it on here once a week. I feel like it reminds me everyday that I will be answering to that scale and I don't want it to go up. It does anyway and I try to keep in mind that it's water or hormones or I need a hair cut. Anyway I'm happy to join this challenge.8

10/5 - 81.4kg, only down .2 from yesterday, did eat pretty awful dinner (under cals but high sodium), and didn’t drink a lot of water. Happy to see a loss either way
10/6- 81.6kg, Friday seems to be a hard day for me (it’s a ‘weekend’ day). I definitely stayed under calories, but ate out and had food that was hard to track. I worked out for 30 mins, and drank plenty of water, so pretty annoyed that I’ve gone up again
