My girlfriend is holding a breast cancer event at her church and wanted a flower wall as a photo backdrop for attendees. We couldn't find or afford
enough pink silk flowers to make it, so I made the paper flowers to fill the perimeter. I will take a photo of the completed backdrop and post it on our thread. I think it's going to be really pretty.

10/05 – 171.2 lbs Been very slow after the huge losses I had in my last three rounds. Went to the gym today and had a really good workout with my physical therapist. I work out 3 times a week now, and this feels like the perfect amount of workouts for me now. Been having a lot of issues with the mobile app lately, so I haven't been tempted to struggle with forum posts everyday. So slow and it's crashing all the time Been logging everyday and staying under my calorie goal since the last time I was participating in this challenge. I have been weighing once a week, was kinda nice to have a break from the daily weigh-ins. I have also chosen to open my diary to friends to hold my self accountable.

10/5 - 81.4kg, only down .2 from yesterday, did eat pretty awful dinner (under cals but high sodium), and didn’t drink a lot of water. Happy to see a loss either way
10/6- 81.6kg, Friday seems to be a hard day for me (it’s a ‘weekend’ day). I definitely stayed under calories, but ate out and had food that was hard to track. I worked out for 30 mins, and drank plenty of water, so pretty annoyed that I’ve gone up again

10/05 171.6 I’m happy to be starting another round! I had BBQ ribs, brisket, and sausage last night, but only one small bite of German Potato Salad. I am tempted by the carbs. After a big breakfast with our guests from Zimbabwe, Thor (my GSD) and I walked a little over 3 miles. I took water for both of us this time. Someone took my water before I returned for it, but I drank a little of Thor’s water (out of the jar, not out of his bowl). We walked a little slower than usual since I had a full tummy from breakfast.

10/05 - 174.8 Out to the Pool Hall with a neighbor friend last night which includes pot luck. Haven’t been there in a few weeks, I had lots of fun. I ate very reasonable quantities and made sure I didn’t show up starving. But I did have a small bump up in weight this morning which is not surprising since most of the foods had more carbs than I would normally consume. I have already been battling some water bloat and this didn’t help. But, boy oh boy, did I ever need to get away from my home/business! I don’t play pool, I just watch my friend. I was a good girl and stuck to just drinking a pitcher of water. So I’m happy that it wasn’t worse. I haven't had a good fast overnight whoosh in a while. Hey, I can dream, can't I ?

I really love this challenge and the participants, it makes me under control somehow. Even I cannot reach my goals, it's really better than nothing. So the previous challenge I really lost a little weight (0.3 kg/0.9 lbs) and that motivated me.
My goals for this challenge:- Drink enough water
- Exercise 3-4 times in a week
- Try to not eat junk food and drink max 3 glasses of alcohol in a week (I don't wanna be hard on myself because I can't)
- Eat nutritious food not just all carbs

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

UGW: below 65 by end of the year
Rounds 47-54 EW: 73-72kg with loads of fluctuations and excuses to over eat.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/05 71kg. New round new determination. Fell off the waggon a bit the last round, but went for a short run this morning. However, the excuses for emotional eating won't stop: It looks like we'll have to put down our 6months old kitten. She's in hospital now and they can't figure out what is wrong with her, none of the tests have shown anything conclusive so far.
10/06 70.8-ish not quite 70.5 yet, but below 71kg. Ate over yesterday, but ran, walked and went boxing in the eve.
Just spoke to the vet and it looks like they have a good idea of what she has (a liver shunt) and in many cases that can be managed with meds and food. And the vet said she's such a little fighter, it would be a shame not to try!!! So we'll pick her up this afternoon - probably much to the dismay of our other cats. And sod the weight and food logging for another day or so. The last few days have been so emotional. I'll get back to it on Monday

Back for another Round. This will be Round 6 for me. Lots of up and down with not much progress the last few rounds. Time to get consistent and off this merry go round.

10/4 - 271 lbs Here we are again. I've seen this number too many times lately. Time to let it go!
10/5 – 269 lbs (-2 lbs) Well there ya go. Hit my goal from challenge we just finished. Missed it by one day! Well I'll reset my goal for this round to 267. I'm looking to average 2 lbs a week. It's a reasonable goal and I know there will be challenge rounds that I miss my target. I will look to my 30 day trend to see my overall progress. I get inspiration from all of you here who are going through the same ups and downs but are sticking with it. Have a great weekend everyone!
10/6 – 269lbs (No Change) Not unexpected after the quick drop yesterday. Still on track food wise. Been having lots of salads for dinner and got off peanuts and on to grapes for snack. Will see if that works out better. Much less salt but more sugar. Oh well its a process.. Change is good anyhow.
