I thought I'd pitch in on this thread - I'm currently on another cut before our next cruise in a few weeks, my aim is to see 123lbs before then to act as a buffer. I generally run with this plan and it works perfectly. Its just getting used to eating at deficit again that takes a bit of getting used to but I am in the zone and am finding Mon-Thur I can do 1500 cals no problem. The weekends I allow for around 2000 cals. My TDEE is 1900-2000 cals so my deficit is small enough yet should still help me achieve the goal I'm after.

Success/struggles of the week
Success: A week of STRESS due to EKG showed Atrial Fibrillation (A Fib). My pinched nerve surgery is now on hold until heart issues are treated by Cardiologist. Did not eat my Stress.
Struggle: Dealing with heart issues is no joke. Took Stress Test, next waiting for Echocardiogram 10/24.20 -

I was honestly shocked when I weighed in this week. I had two days this week where I let my emotions get the best of me and I overate (SO went into the hospital suddenly Tuesday night, Tuesday and Wednesday were basically free for alls and my exercise was much lower than normal). I logged as best I could, but my net average was over, so I was expecting at least a sodium “gain.” I’m glad I didn’t gain of course, and am successful in that after Wednesday when SO stabilized, I said “okay, time to get back on track.” Old me might not have done that. So now I’m back on track and apparently have no lasting damage from those couple days. Taking this weekend to refocus on myself.10 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I need to accept that I had a set-back over the summer when I broke my elbow. I had been regularly going to the gym 5/6 days a week and was making slow progress but stopped going when I couldn't do any upper body work and focused on long walks. When my ortho said it was ok to go back to my routine, I found I hadn't been able to do what I'd been before and after a couple of days feeling defeated with the weights, I went back to the walking again. I know I will be happier in the long run going back to the mix of weights and cardio like I'd been doing from January-July. I'd told myself that starting in October I was going to do that and a week in and I haven't yet. Maybe putting this in writing out in public will give me the extra push to try again.8 -

Struggles/successes: Battling a cold with a nasty cough that has curtailed workouts a bit. Also under a fair bit of pressure at work. But overall maintaining sensible eating and as much activity as I can and weight seems pretty stable.

Successes/struggles of the week: All week I’ve felt anxious... anxiety then turns to hunger for me. I also haven’t had as much dedicated time to go running this week, which I suspect just exacerbates the anxiety.... which encourages more eating.
I know the anxiety is primarily driven by the home buying experience with a little dose of “can you really finish back to back Tough Mudder events this weekend?” I know all will be fine. Just 16 more days to get through...12 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week/month: next month is my two years in maintenance, so yeah, happy about it. It sure does give me confidence in being able to stick with it, keep the weight off. It's not always easy, but i know where i want to be and how to do it. Still struggling with going to bed at earlier time, not sure why i can't just call it a night, say at 11? I'm an owl, i guess, but i really need to change it some.9
