Pizza Hut All You Can Eat (pizza buffet) calories?

I am taking out my family for a meal and I am also on CICO
Trying to plan my intake (my TDEE is about 2375-2500 and I am happy to spend that all during the lunch, even going slightly more (up to 3000-3500)). The goal is to hit the Salad Bar first and then enjoy some pizza with my children
I am trying to estimate the pizza calories specifically for the buffet. Taking an average pizza/style, etc. - is 225 calories per slice a fair estimate? Meaning that if I rake up 500 calories in the salad bar I can then easily eat 15 slices max (if I want to/enjoy so much) to make it (500+15*225) 3875 calories

a lot of the pizza hut pizzas and slices are in the database - i have logged them individually before.
you probably want to estimate more like 350 a slice unless you're having veggie or just cheese?9 -

Thanks! My concern is that it is buffet and I have heard that slices are smaller on average (from BeardMeatsFood, for example - from his challenge video there). Also, the other day I got an XL pizza and taking an average of 275 calories per 100 grams, each slice was 100 grams on average (meaning 275 calories per slice, for an XL!) - it was cheese and bacon pizza.
where did you get 275 cals per 100g from in the first place?
its all an estimate really - i'd rather aim higher than lower personally.7 -

I will agree with @TavistockToad, whenever I eat a plain cheese slice of Mom&Pop shop pizza I just count it as 350 calories a slice. I use the quick add feature.4

They really are smaller slices in the buffet. So while a medium may normally be cut into 8 pieces, at the buffet they will be 12-14 pieces. So they are really talking about eating a whole medium pizza. I'd have no trouble doing that on the very rare occasion.
I'd probably round to 300 a slice and know I'm overestimating.2 -

15 slices of pizza is like the equivalent to just under 2 pizzas I don't get why everyone is so amazed by this12 -

Couldn't you just multiply the normal nutrition by 8 and then divide by 14 (or 12 or 13)?2 -

There's no way I could eat two pizzas and not want to vomit...even if I could or wanted to, it sure as hell wouldn't be pizza hut.14 -
I'm gonna go in another direction here.
This is why I eat out infrequently when I'm attempting to lose weight. Pizza is delicious and I can easily eat most of a medium pizza in one sitting. There is no way to accurately get a calorie count, so anything from 300-450 could be the number. Log it as best you can and move on. Even two slices from the same pizza are going to have slightly different counts, and there is no way to be accurate.
If I do this one time per month, no big deal. If I do it once a week, it's a little bigger a deal. Daily and all bets are off.
Just enjoy your (occasional) pizza buffet and log on the high side and move on.3 -
I don't think 15 slices of pizza is going to fit nicely into any diet plan but you are free to give it a shot. Me, I would aim high on calorie estimate. I would also drink a glass of unsweet tea before eating three pieces of pizza and pushing my plate away.4

Is the goal to feel stuffed or satisfied? Is the pizza more important than your goal? Plan what you will eat and log it. If the slices are slightly smaller I personally wouldn’t calculate the difference, I would log the larger number.0

Sorry to be particular but it's a pet peeve.... technically everyone in the world is "on CICO". It isn't a diet. It's an energy balance.
Secondly - I agree with others - do you truly enjoy eating that many pieces of pizza? I'm not judging, I'm just trying to understand is the goal to eat as much as possible and embrace that "stuffed" feeling, or is the goal to try a bunch of different kinds of pizza, or is it that you really like pizza hut pizza and this is something you've been craving for a long time?
Mathwise - you've got some good feedback on estimates - likely if this is more than you normally eat, including salty meats and/or carbs - it's going to add some water weight even if you stay at or close to maintenance calories. Whenever we do pizza night, and I just do 2-3 pieces of thin crust usually, I'm always higher on the scale the next day.

The pizza hut buffet is a medium pizza, however a standard PH medium is cut into 8 slices, and a buffet PH medium is cut into 12 slices...so each buffet slice is approx 0.67 of a standard medium slice for that type of pizza2

A quick search of the pizza hut site/nutritional data showed that buffet slices are roughly 20-30% smaller (both in size/weight and in calories) than their non-buffet versions. Obviously that will vary a bit depending on the type of pizza/toppings, but that's a reasonable estimate (IMO).
So if it were me... I'd count the number of pieces I ate, multiply that by 1.25, then log that many regular slices. Something like this...
I ate 10 buffet slices.
10 * 1.25 = 12.5
I'd log 12.5 regular slices.
Or, if you're trying to figure out how many slices you can have for 2500 calories (or whatever)...
A large, pan, cheese slice is 380 cals. So the buffet version of that would be about 304. At ~300 cals per slice, you could eat 8 and a little slices of plain cheese pan pizza for your 2500 cals.
I say all that no knowing what sized pizza (small, medium, large) the hut puts out for buffet. My numbers are based on large. If medium, the numbers will be slightly less, and you can eat slightly more.2 -

When I was a kid, going to Pizza Hut, and having to wait for a table so that we could play table top Ms Pacman and Galaga was a super special treat...
My kids were getting free personal pan pizza coupons from school for a reading program, and I actively sought out a dine in Pizza Hut, but was so bummed there was no arcade game!4 -

We had a chain called Mr. Gatti's that was like that. We loved it as kids! They closed down ages ago, but I think I heard that a couple had been resurrected back in the town I grew up in.
I loved Ms. Pacman too! We have a couple of arcade bars here and I get teased whenever we go because (Ms.) Pacman, Centipede and driving games are all I play!0
